Salla Lintonen
- Actress
Salla Lintonen's latest role was in the French comedy series "Jibé et Lucien en coulisses" in the famous talk show "C à vous". She has acted, among others, in the French series "Spiral" ("Engrenages"), in the French feature film "To the Top" (directed by Serge Hazanavicius) and in the Finnish series "Syke". In 2017 she started playing one of the series regulars in the international indie series "A Billion to One", available on Amazon Prime Video. Born in Finland (currently occupying the lands of the indigenous Sámi people in "Lapland"), she arrived in France in 2009 as an immigrant and began her career there. She was a member of the French theater company La Compagnie des Asphodèles for 7 years, working on projects with a message of peace and humanity that combined theatre, dance and human beatbox. She performed with them in colonised parts of France: Martinique, Guadeloupe, New Caledonia, French Guiana and all over non-colonised France.
Lintonen is also know for her activism for peace, justice and human rights. She advocates firmly for the rights of Palestinian people - and any indigenous people - to live on their native land without illegal occupation, colonialism, violence, genocide or oppression. She is also known by some Finns as "Mamu-Salla" (Salla the Immigrant) on social media, where she speaks up against racism, fascism and the Finnish far right government.
