Brainstorm Media has revealed the official trailer for an indie psychological thriller titled Psycho Therapy, made by Turkish filmmaker Tolga Karaçelik, and set in New York City. Now it's being released with both titles together - Psycho Therapy: The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write about a Serial Killer. The Night Agent Season 2 finale ends where the series began — at the White House. But this time, hero Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) is worried about what’s going on inside its walls, rather than the shadowy threats outside them. Series creator Shawn Ryan says Peter — now a disgraced Night Agent — is right to be concerned about the future of America. Villainous Governor Hagan (Ward Horton) is sure to become the next President of the United States, and that means the country is in big trouble. The call is coming from inside the House.
“I don't think you’re supposed to be loyal to a president as a Night Agent,” Ryan tells Tudum. “You’re supposed to be loyal to an institution and to an ethos. You’re supposed to be loyal to America and defending it against enemies within and without.”
In the final scene of Episode 8, Peter agrees...

The Night Agentis one of Netflix's most popular action shows. The series has had two extremely successful seasons, with its debut season releasing in 2023. The first season performed so well that a follow-up season was confirmed a mere week after the release of Season 1. Now, Season 2, which was released only days ago, is already dominating Netflix's US charts. Given its success, it comes as no surprise that a third season of The Night Agent is also in the works.
In fact, the series' third season was confirmed prior to Season 2's release, clearly demonstrating Netflix's faith in The Night Agent. Led by Gabriel Basso in the titular role of FBI-agent-turned-Night-Agent Peter Sutherland, the series is packed with conspiracies involving the highest levels of government, explosive action and the most unexpected plot twists. Season 1 saw Peter rescue the President from an assassination attempt, while Season 2 took the agent into a global sphere.

After a two-year hiatus, the much-awaited sophomore season of The Night Agentmade its premiere on January 23, 2025. The Night Agent's debut season made the show one of Netflix's most successful series, and its follow-up season has now followed the same path as its predecessor. Based on a novel by Matthew Quirk and created for screens by Shawn Ryan, Season 1 of the series saw a low-level FBI agent, Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), answer a phone that is never supposed to ring and dive head-first into a conspiracy far above his pay grade.

Thankfully, those questions won't go unanswered, as the streamer has already picked up the action thriller series for a third season ahead of the sophomore's premiere. Per the official logline, the series follows “low level FBI Agent Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), whose efforts to save the president (Kari Matchett) in Season 1 earn him an opportunity to become a ‘night agent’ in Season 2. The Night Agent Season 3 is already in the works. The third season was confirmed by Netflix before Season 2 was dropped, so fans won't have to wait too long for another season. Season 2, as promised, has given fans a new storyline. Rose and Peter found their way back to each other for another mission. However, Peter is committed to his work as a Night Agent, even though it means making difficult decisions and doing things that are against his own moral standards.
Rose, on the other hand, doesn't want any part to play in the dangerous game. The season left them parted while on the discovery of a new conspiracy. The big bads are already revealed, but there are still a lot of unknowns about Season 3.

The Night Agent season 2 episode 9 ends with Markus (Michael Malarkey) and his men setting up Kx to be released in the Hvac system of the Un. Peter (Gabriel Basso) just told Catherine (Amanda Warren) that it’s enough Kx to wipe out Midtown Manhattan. So, yeah, this is a big, big deal.
But, we start The Night Agent season 2 episode 10, “Buyer’s Remorse,” with another flashback. This time, we’re going back eight years to the unveiling of the Anthony Ming Center for Entrepreneurship where a younger Jacob Monroe (Louis Herthum) and younger Hagan (Ward Horton) meet for the first time. Hagan questions Jacob about why he donates all this money but doesn’t want his name on the building, but Jacob shuts him down. He wants Hagan’s loyalty in exchange for a little bit of help. Another flashback opens The Night Agent season 2 episode 9, “Cultural Exchange,” but this time it’s about Rose (Luciane Buchanan) and Peter (Gabriel Basso), and it’s only from 10 months ago before the events of season 2. It’s from Peter and Rose’s last day together before Peter ships off to his first mission for the Night Action program.
Rose admits she’s feeling hesitant about leaving Peter and going back to normal life, and Peter apologizes for not turning down the job. Rose doesn’t want him to change, but it’s clear from the look in her eyes that she doesn’t want this to end.
Back in the lab after Tomas's death in episode 8, Rose and Dr. Cole (Jay Karnes) theorize about making an inactive batch of Kx after they finish the first batch. Markus’s men force them to keep working even though they have enough Kx...

The Night Agent season 2 has officially been released on Netflix after almost two years since the breakout hit first premiered. Thankfully, after binge-watching all 10 episodes, you don't have to worry about the action thriller not coming back for another season. Netflix has already renewed The Night Agent season 3, and there's lot more exciting news about the next season.
In the second season, Peter returns as a full-fledged Night Agent embarking on his first real mission. Unfortunately, when that mission goes bad and results in the death of his partner, Peter goes Awol in an effort to figure out what went wrong and if there's a mole in Night Action. From there, the season explores a larger conspiracy that poses a major threat to American intelligence.

Editor’s Note: The following post contains spoilers for “The Night Agent” Season 2.
“The Night Agent” Season 2 ends with Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) in a precarious position — but it’s not the first time he (or his family) has been there.
Shawn Ryan’s Netflix series released another 10 episodes on January 23, with Season 3 already confirmed. That announcement was enough to guarantee an open ending, but Season 2 still wraps up its central arcs pretty neatly. But how exactly did it weave together a formidable dictator, intelligence broker, Iranian intelligence, and a Presidential candidate? We break it all down below.
The Attack
The nerve-racking finale opens with Peter and everyone else converging on the U.N., which is being evacuated to assess a threat in the Hvac system. Very few people know that the threat is K.X., the chemical agent that Rose (Luciane Buchanon) helped Dr. Cole (Jay Karnes) to produce...

Gabriel Basso and Luciane Buchanan are back in The Night Agent season 2, which just premiered on Netflix on Jan. 23. And, after their characters, Peter Sutherland and Rose Larkin, saved the day in the jaw-dropping finale in The Night Agent season 1, there aren't many cast members or characters from season 1 who return for season 2.
By my unofficial count, there are only four characters who appear in season 1 and season 2: Peter, Rose, and President Michelle Travers (Kari Matchett), and one other important character that you might not have recognized.

[This story contains major spoilers from the second season of The Night Agent.]
Heading into the second season of The Night Agent — Netflix’s spy action thriller series about a low-level FBI agent who goes from manning an emergency hotline for secret agents investigating issues of classified intelligence to being one of those international agents — creator and showrunner Shawn Ryan knew he wanted to push his beloved protagonist Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) further into morally grey territory.
“In season one, things were logistically very difficult for Peter, but morally pretty easy. In season two, I want things to remain logistically difficult for Peter, but I want them morally to get more difficult,” Ryan tells The Hollywood Reporter in the interview below. “He probably had a little bit of a naïve view of what [being a Night Agent] would mean, probably felt that he could keep his morals and his moral compass intact doing it, and he learns in the course of season two that that’s not so easy.

2024 guaranteed the promising future of successful franchises such as Deadpool and Planet of the Apes but also might have sealed the fate of other franchises, such as in the case of Madame Web's box office flop and Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga's disappointing opening weekend. While some may complain there are too many sequels and reboots in theaters, the reality is that film franchises will exist as long as they’re successful.
Movie studios produce entertainment, but ultimately, their goal is to make money. If a film is financially prosperous, chances are a second and third will succeed, too. If audiences embrace certain movies and characters, giving them more of what they want makes sense. This approach has undoubtedly resulted in some dreadful sequels but has also birthed some excellent and beloved film series. After all, the highest-grossing franchises of all time didn’t get to the top by being mediocre.

The Conjuring 4 has been set for a September 5, 2025 release. The next installment in the hit horror franchise will also be the final mainline movie, with Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson returning as Ed and Lorraine Warren and franchise vet Michael Chaves directing. Though it will avoid potential competition from The Black Phone 2 and Mortal Kombat 2, The Conjuring 4's new release date will make for an early horror season box office battle.
With over a decade under its belt, The Conjuring 4 will bring the mainline horror franchise to a close, and the release date has now been revealed for the fourquel.
Variety has brought word that Warner Bros. has set The Conjuring 4 to hit theaters on September 5, 2025. The news also came as the studio also announced that Maggie Gyllenhaal's Frankenstein adaptation The Bride will be moving up by one week, now releasing at the end of September 2025 rather...

Britt Lower, John Magaro, and Steve Buscemi are standout performers in The Shallow Tale. Suzie, played by Britt Lower, brings the most humor and excitement to the film. The movie's focus on the crumbling marriage between Suzie and Keane overshadows Keane's writing journey.
Some may find the title of The Shallow Tale of a Writer Who Decided to Write About a Serial Killer misleading. It's not entirely inaccurate, but beneath the film's initial premise as described in the title is a different movie, one less about the process of writing and more about a marriage falling apart and how it might be saved over one out of control night.

“The Crown” is gearing up for its last hurrah at the SAG Awards, an organization that has bestowed a number of prizes onto the Netflix regal show over the years. It claimed the highly coveted TV drama ensemble prize twice (2019 and ’20), while individual winners through the years were Claire Foy (2016 and ’17), John Lithgow (2016) and Gillian Anderson (2020). Now the sixth and final season is hoping to prevail for a third time, which would tie it with “Downton Abbey” in this category at three total wins.
Season 6 faces off in the TV drama ensemble race against fellow nominees “The Gilded Age,” “The Last of Us,” “The Morning Show” and “Succession.” Elizabeth Debicki is “The Crown’s” only solo acting nominee this year, with her co-nominees in the TV drama actress category being Jennifer Aniston (“The Morning Show”), Bella Ramsey (“The Last of Us”), Keri Russell (“The Diplomat”) and Sarah Snook (“Succession”).

This year’s SAG Awards nominations for drama ensemble run the gamut in terms of total cast members nominated. You have “The Gilded Age” on one side with a jaw-dropping 34 people represented. And then you have “The Last of Us” on the other side with just two — hi, Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey! HBO’s zombie apocalypse series has now tied the Screen Actors Guild record with “Key and Peele,” which was the first TV show to nab an ensemble citation with just two stars: Keegan-Michael Key and Jordan Peele.
The “Key and Peele” funny duo lost to “Orange Is the New Black” for comedy ensemble in 2016, which had a whopping 34 cast members nominated that year. Hmm, a two-person cast losing to a 34-person ensemble? Might SAG Awards history repeat itself? “The Last of Us” competes this year against “The Gilded Age” (34 cast members), “Succession” (18), “The Crown” (15) and “The Morning Show...

"You run out on every guy you've ever been with!" Decal Releasing has unveiled the trailer for a romantic comedy called Which Brings Me To You, arriving in theaters in January 2024 next month. It's from the same filmmaker who previously made the romcoms Then Came You and The Hating Game, and this one will probably be just like those two. Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff star in this hilarious tale of love and disaster. Two romantic burnouts meet at a wedding and almost hook up in the coatroom before putting the brakes on. They agree to exchange candid confessions about their pasts on the off chance that this might be the real thing. "Trading candid confessions of messy histories and heartbreak" - revisiting their own "past lives" on screen. The film's supporting cast includes John Gallagher Jr., Ward Horton, Genevieve Angelson, Alexander Hodge, Britne Oldford, Marceline Hugot, and Laura Kai Chen.

It may astonish those who aren't horror fans or haven't been paying attention, but 2013's "The Conjuring" has not only spawned two direct sequels, but two entire spin-off film franchises that are still going strong: the "Annabelle" series and "The Nun" films. In fact, the latter's latest installment — oh-so-helpfully entitled "The Nun II" — is due to haunt theaters everywhere on September 8, 2023.

Things will heat up in HBO’s “The Gilded Age” Season 2, and not just on the railroads.
As Ward McAllister (Nathan Lane) escorts Bertha Russell (Carrie Coon) to some sort of social event, his voiceover reminds viewers that Bertha has almost everything she could ever want.
“Mrs. Russell, you conquered New York,” Lane’s McAllister says at the beginning of the clip released by Max Wednesday morning. “You dine in the best houses. But are you sure it’s wise to start the war with New York society? Aren’t you asking for trouble?”
“Yes, and you’ll need to pick a team,” Coon’s Russell responds. “Head-to-head and one will be the winner.”
Season 2 of Julian Fellowes’ (“Downton Abbey”) latest drama series arrives on HBO and Max Oct. 29 with the first episode premiering at 9 p.m. Et and Pt followed by a weekly rollout.
