Spin Master revealed details about the latest Paw Patrol entry in an announcement that is more prehistoric than historic. Titled Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie, the franchise’s third theatrical installment arrives in theaters on July 31, 2026, co-distributed by Paramount Pictures, Nickelodeon Movies, and Spin Master like its predecessors.
The threequel will take the popular cartoon canines out of their usual city habitat and into the jungle, where they'll encounter dinosaurs. Deadline reports the Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie synopsis:
After their ship gets caught in a mysterious storm, the Paw Patrol crash land on an uncharted tropical island filled with dinosaurs. They meet Rex, a pup who has been stranded on the island for years and has become an expert in all things dino-related. When the Paw Patrol’s arch rival, Humdinger, begins recklessly mining in hopes of exploiting the island for its natural resources, he inadvertently causes a huge,...

The newly founded Sycamore Studios has bagged another high-profile piece of intellectual property for film adaptation.
Formed in August by Christian McGuigan and Timothy Reckart, Sycamore has won the rights to the bestselling graphic novel series “Zita the Spacegirl.” The project joins a development slate that also includes an animated feature take on the classic “Doctor Dolittle,” from screenwriters Cal Brunker and Bob Barlen.
The acquisition comes on the heels of a successful Series A funding round, which we hear was oversubscribed and fetched mid-seven-figures for Sycamore’s operations and productions.
Written by Ben Hatke, “Zita” follows a brave girl who is propelled into a cosmic adventure when her best friend is abducted by aliens. Zita’s unwavering determination to find her way back home and her courageous sacrifice for others transform her into an intergalactic hero. The property was previously set up at Fox Animation with Peter Chernin, and...

Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie is a sequel that expands on the previous film, focusing on Skye's growth and insecurities as the smallest member of the group. The movie received positive reviews from both critics and children, and has achieved success at the box office. The decision to introduce superpowers in the sequel was made to raise the bar and create a more intense and spectacular theatrical experience. The film ends with the pups becoming an established superhero team, hinting at future storylines.
Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, based on the beloved 2013 series from Keith Chapman and Scott Kraft, is a sequel that expands enormously on the previous movie. The titular pups, led by Ryder (Finn Lee-Epp), continue to protect their city but this time are aided by meteor crystals that spread superpowers throughout Adventure Bay. My three-year-old has a conundrum. She loves “Paw Patrol,” but the franchise’s first feature film (2021) opens on a baby turtle in distress. The little guy ends up Ok, of course (this is an animated children’s movie after all), but it caused enough trauma to effectively ban screenings in our house. That would be perfectly fine with me, except for the fact that “Paw Patrol: The Movie” is significantly more tolerable than “Paw Patrol” the series
Our trip to see “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie” was always going to be a gamble. Averse to risk, my wife and I bought insurance in the form of popcorn, Reese’s Pieces, and Twizzlers. And it worked — until it didn’t.
The theater was predictably packed for the 4:15 p.m. showing on its opening Saturday; “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie” would win the weekend by what IndieWire box-office reporter Tom Brueggemann called a “healthy” margin.

Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie focuses on Skye, giving the story a personal slant and emotional payoff that helps ramp up the tension. Taraji P. Henson is the standout as Victoria Vance, nailing the theatricality of her character and providing memorable moments. While the film's dialogue and comedic timing may be subpar at times, it still succeeds as an engaging animation that kids will enjoy.
Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie upgrades its titular characters’ abilities, turning them into superheroes in an animated story that is sure to please its target audience. The sequel to Paw Patrol: The Movie, both of which are based on the 2013 series from Keith Chapman and Scott Kraft, is sweet and charming, if a bit humdrum. Its lessons are bare bones but relatable, with the kiddos easily able to take everything in without being overwhelmed, especially if they’re already familiar with the characters. ‘Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie’ Barking Louder Than ‘Saw X’ and ‘The Creator’ For Easy Box Office Win

After the success of Barbenheimer, audiences will now reveal if they have an appetite for what’s being dubbed “Saw Patrol” this weekend as Paramount’s kid-friendly Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie goes up against Lionsgate’s horror feature Saw X.
Both movies did respectable business on Friday. Saw X won the day with an estimated $8 million — including $2 million in Thursday night grosses — although Paw Patrol will take the lead sometime on Saturday for a weekend opening in the $22.5 million range, ahead of 2021’s Paw Patrol: The Movie, which came out during the tough days of the pandemic and debuted to $13.1 million.
While the Internet bestowed Saw and Paw Patrol with the memable moniker Saw Patrol (describing the unlikely idea of doing a double feature), the weekend’s biggest swing is The Creator, the $80 million sci-fi feature from Rogue One director Gareth Edwards. The film brought in $5.6 million on Friday,...

Parents, the holiday season is fast approaching, and the good folks behind the Paw Patrol franchise have figured out a new way to separate you and your money. Their second theatrical film involves the adorable do-gooding pups being transformed into superheroes by a magical meteor. So thanks to Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie, there will undoubtedly be a whole new product line in stores featuring the newly minted “Mighty Pups,” sporting all-new superhero costumes and accessories. Consider this a warning, and you’re welcome.
Now to the movie, arriving two years after the surprise success of the Paw Patrol’s theatrical debut. This sequel, which will certainly give birth to many more installments (a third one has already been announced), features as its chief villain Victoria Vance (voiced by Taraji P. Henson, sounding like she’s having fun), a mad scientist who chafes at being referred to as a “mad scientist.

The “Paw Patrol” franchise is now 10 years old — 70 in dog years — and with each installment, children and their parents have been treated to exciting adventures, wholesome characters and cool new merchandise. What began as a preschool TV series in 2013 got the silver-screen treatment in 2021 with the inventively named “Paw Patrol: The Movie,” broadening its scale and reach but sacrificing none of its lesson-learning or toy-slinging. Given the property’s theatrical and streaming success, there’s an audience perpetually hungry to connect with the ongoing saga of a tween boy and his pack of four-legged heroes. The fantasy-forward follow-up “Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie,” involving a meteor, magic crystals and a mad scientist (who hates being called that), expands their journey to saving the world.

How do you turn a beloved Canadian preschool animated TV series into a big screen outing for all to enjoy this summer? Add a touch of Gotham spirit, a colourful joker and an orphan backstory (or two) into the mix with Paw Patrol.
Bigfoot Family’s Cal Brunker and Bob Barlen have joined writing forces with Madagascar’s Billy Frolick and come up with a credible tale of the infamous, resourceful puppies saving the day for all, complete with an environmental message looming like a storm cloud above. It sounds like a lot on a ‘U’-slated film’s plate, but the filmmakers have merely supersized the paw power and turned the lovable pups into big-city superheroes, after taking them out of their normal stomping ground of Adventure Bay.

If you don’t have a toddler in your life, the world of Nick Jr.’s “Paw Patrol” world might not be one you recognize. I myself headed into a screening for “Paw Patrol: The Movie” as an ambivalent aunt, surrounded by little nieces and nephews who just squee in delight at the mere mention of their favorite animated hero pups.
At best, I figured, they will have some fun, and I can be the cool Tia. So, you can imagine my surprised delight to find “Paw Patrol: The Movie” to be engaging, funny, and wonderful.
Much of the credit goes to writer-director Cal Brunker (“The Nut Job 2”) and co-writers Billy Frolick (“Madagascar”) and Bob Barlen (“Arctic Dogs”), who have seamlessly created a movie world where you believe 10-year-olds can run around with their dogs and save the city from political corruption. Since the “Paw Patrol” series began airing in 2013, we’ve seen the heroic pooches and their fearless 10-year-old leader go on a pirate adventure, rescue dinosaurs and tangle with various other foes in their fictional, idyllic world. In the real world, the show has left its mark on the pop-culture zeitgeist with bountiful merchandise deals and as the butt of jokes on other TV shows. It even became an unwitting lightning rod for political controversy when the now-former White House Press Secretary erroneously reported it was cancelled in the wake of Black Lives Matters protests.
Nevertheless, the popular Canadian-produced preschool show persisted, and now the squad is on its toughest mission yet in the imaginatively named “Paw Patrol: The Movie,” which bows in theaters and on Paramount Plus on the same day. Writer-director Cal Brunker, along with co-writers Billy Frolick and Bob Barlen, add further depth and dimension to these beloved puppy protagonists,...

Chicago – Anyone showing up to the “The Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature” will know exactly what they’re going to get… it’s a late summer sequel to an animated movie you may be surprised was successful enough to warrant a sequel at all, much less a theatrically released one.
Rating: 2.0/5.0
I must admit I did not see the first Nut Job film. However after seeing this sequel, I’m in no hurry to catch up on the further adventures of this rag-tag group of urban woodland creatures. It may not have an iota of the heart of Pixar’s best, but at least it doesn’t look...

He’ll be joined in the recording booth by John Cleese, James Franco, Anjelica Huston, Heidi Klum and Omar Sy.Ambi Pictures is behind the 3D animated indie ‘toon, which has former DreamWorks Animation man Dimos Vrysellas directing from a story by Cal Brunker and Bob Barlen. The plot runs thusly: When the sinister Doc Walrus (Cleese) hatches a secret plot to accelerate global warming and melt the Arctic Circle, a ragtag group of inexperienced heroes including a polar bear, an albatross, two conspiracy-minded otters and a red fox (Baldwin, Franco, Huston, Klum and Sy, with more cast to come) must band together to foil his evil plans and save the arctic. “This will be...
