Prime Video shared the official trailer for upcoming Western drama series “The English,” starring Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer. All six episodes of the limited series will premiere on November 11 exclusively in the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the Nordics on Prime Video, following its November 10 UK premiere on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer. The series is created by Hugo Blick, who also serves as an executive producer, director and writer.

The series follows aristocratic Englishwoman Lady Cornelia Locke, played by Blunt, and a Pawnee ex-cavalry scout named Eli Whipp, played by Spencer. They come together in 1890 middle America to cross a violent landscape built on dreams and blood.

“The English” is produced by Drama Republic, a Mediawan company, and Eight Rooks. Blunt also serves as executive producer, alongside Greg Brenman for Drama Republic. Colin Wratten serves as a producer on “The English.” Global distribution is handled by All3Media Intl.

Exclusive: Sylvester Stallone, Bear Grylls and Endemol Shine North America have established a production partnership with plans to create high-adrenaline series.

The Rocky and Rambo star and the Man vs. Wild star and the Lego Masters producer are teaming up to create “genre-bending” adventure series.

Stallone will exec produce via his Balboa Productions, along with Kourosh Taj, his head of unscripted development and Carrie Keagan, while Grylls will exec produce for his Natural Studios, which is a joint venture with Banijay, alongside his co-ceo Delbert Shoopman. Sharon Levy and DJ Nurre will exec produce for Endemol Shine North America.

Balboa Productions is behind Taylor Sheridan’s Stallone-fronted Paramount+ series Tulsa King as well as feature films Samaritan and Rambo: Last Blood as well as Dazn feature doc One Night: Joshua vs. Ruiz.

The Natural Studios was launched in 2019 and is responsible for series such as Disney+’s Running Wild and Netflix’s You Vs Wild.

The first-ever virtual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Special will air on Saturday via HBO at 8 p.m. Et.

Viewing options are narrow, as this is very much an exclusive: Watching the special requires a subscription to HBO or HBO Max. But for any non-subscribers curious to see the program, but worried that signing up just to see the show is too daunting a financial commitment, HBO Max is currently offering a seven-day free trial.

Malcolm Barrett, Patrice Covington (“The Color Purple”), Kimberly Hébert Gregory (“Vice Principals”), Rebecca Naomi Jones (“The Big Sick”), Sanai Victoria (“Black-ish”) have been cast alongside Cynthia Erivo in National Geographic’s “Genius: Aretha.” Also, Emmy, Golden Globe and BAFTA TV award-winner Anthony Hemingway joined the anthology series as executive producer and pilot director.

Quinn Copeland, Lauren Donzis, Oliver De Los Santos and Noah Cottrell have been cast as series regulars in Peacock’s “Punky Brewster” pilot. From Ucp and Universal Television, the multi-camera/hybrid continuation of the ’80s sitcom follows Punky (Soleil Moon Frye), now a single mother of three trying to get her life back on track when she meets Izzy (Copeland), a young girl who reminds her a lot of her younger self.

Exclusive: Sylvester Stallone’s Balboa Productions has formed a partnership with rising sports streaming outlet Dazn, starting with a series of feature documentaries under the banner One Night.

The pairing suits Dazn’s initial positioning in the U.S. as a home for boxing, though it’s a broad enough heading to encompass other sports narratives. The $20-a-month streaming service launched in the U.S. in fall 2018 but also operates in eight other countries, carrying games in many territories from leagues like the NFL, NBA and Major League Baseball. Stateside, Dazn made its biggest initial splash by grabbing exclusive rights to five years of Canelo Alvarez fights. It also streamed the biggest boxing upset in decades on June 1, when Andy Ruiz beat Anthony Joshua at Madison Square Garden.

Leveraging Stallone’s creation of the Rocky franchise, One Night films will look back at memorable nights in recent boxing history such as the Ruiz-Joshua bout.

Here’s a trailer for a silly-looking indie horror comedy called VampyrZ on a Boat. Now, I’m honestly not sure if this is supposed to be a comedy because the movie is described as a "razor-sharp horror" film, but it seems like a comedy to me!

The story for the movie centers around a couple named Sara and Max, “whose new whirlwind romance is interrupted by a vampire outbreak on a medical research ship. Max will stop at nothing to get back the girl of his dreams, even if it means several heads will roll.”

The film stars Carrie Keagan, Dallas Valdez, Curt Lambert, Diane Ayala Goldner, and Kendall Wells as the Master Vampire. Yeah, the movie looks pretty ridiculous, but it still might be a fun flick to watch. Check out the trailer.

The tagline on the poster is a riff on Edge of Tomorrow, “Love. Bite. Die.

The week I saw Fetish Factory, the new feature from writer/director Staci Layne Wilson, I also rewatched Anna Biller’s The Love Witch and Hillary Clinton lost her chance to be the first female president of the United States. I was very much in the mindset of seeing art through a specific prism of gender politics and sexism, which may have colored my reading of the movie. At the same time, I don’t know if that’s true. This is a movie with gender politics very much on its mind. You don’t make a movie about the male customers of a sex fetish club being turned into bloodthirsty zombies without wanting to say something about the relationship between men and women.

A new trailer for the fourth installment of the Skarknado series has been released, and a whole new school of sharks is terrorizing the people of Las Vegas.

In the clip, Finn Shepard (Ian Ziering) is in a state of disbelief that he has to deal with titular predators yet again.

But the moment that's worth the price of admission is when a Chippendales dancer (which, ahem, Zierine once was) uses the family jewels to deflect a shark.

On July 31st, the sharknados return, and Syfy has revealed a list of celebrities set to appear in Sharknado: The 4th Awakens as well as an official poster for the film. To Fin (Ian Ziering) and his new friends, may the force be with you.

What combination of things makes even less sense than a tornado made of sharks? How about a post-apocalyptic zombie Western made by and starring boy bands? Sheer absurd randomness (and its attendant clickbait) seems to be the well from which Syfy's Dead 7 was sprung, the latest original movie from the network that has brought us such single-serving classics as Sharknado, Dinocroc vs. Supergator and Titanic II. Like many that have come before it, this genre mash-up walks the crooked line between knowing how bad it is and taking itself just a tad too seriously.

Ok, so its April 1st and I’m writing a review of a boy band zombie Western mashup starring members of Backstreet Boys, *Nsync, 98 Degrees and O-Town. Which comes from The Asylum, best know these days as the mockbuster company behind Sharknado and its (three) sequels…. I know, I know, it sounds like I’m taking the mick, but I swear to god this is Not a joke – this is a real movie. Well as real as an other Asylum/Syfy team-up!

For those interested in the plot (because, to be fair, most people will just watch this to see old boybands fighting zombies - which would actually be a great...

For a B-Movie maniac like myself, Dead 7 sounds like a late-night dream. Take some 90s-era boyband icons, throw ’em into a steampunk-y Western dystopia, and record a closing-credits collaboration with lyrically tied-in cheesiness. Backstreet’s back, right?! Wrong.

Much to my dismay, audiences are “treated” to yet another SyFy disasterpiece courtesy of The Asylum – cable TV’s leading team in cut-rate, storyless boredom for everyone. It’s a shame this zombie shoot-out wastes sky-high genre potential on a studio who’s more about marketing ploys than production, because, dare I say a smile crept on my face once or twice?

The cast is a who’s who of your annoying little sister’s fantasy boyfriends, including members of N*Sync, Backstreet Boys, 98º, O-Town and Everclear – but not Justin Timberlake, Lance Bass or any of the Big names (sans Joey Fatone, I guess? Is Nick Carter still a thing?...

From the channel that brought us Sharknado comes the next insane fever dream that somehow turned into reality. Dead 7 is a post-apocalyptic zombie Western starring more 90s boy band members than you can shake a tube of hair gel at. In the words of Syfy’s publicist: “Oh my God, they’re back again!” Now that song is stuck in your head. Don’t lie. We’re beyond the pale here people…and I kind of like it? Yeah, this is absurd, but it knows what it is. Embracing camp is half of what makes Syfy Original Movies so fun to watch. Managing to rope in 90s boy band members to poke fun at themselves only elevates this ludicrous idea to pure genius. From the Backstreet Boys, we have Nick Carter as Jack, Howie Dorough as Vaquero, and Aj McLean as Johnny Vermillion. Nsync is represented by Joey Fatone...
