The crime gangs are back, baby … well, almost. While there are some pretty righteous gritty crime drama/thriller series out there, none are as brutal, brilliant, and bloody as Gangs of London. It’s been well over two years since season 2 dropped in the UK and the U.S., and since season 3 of the hit series was renewed. Now, thanks to Sky TV’s new trailer, we finally know when to expect its return, and it’s much sooner than you think. Gangs of London season 3 is set to premiere in the UK in March 2025, but when might it premiere in the U.S.?

The first season of Gangs of London premiered in April 2020 both in the UK and the U.S., then we were all left with a super long, nail-biting wait for season 2, which finally dropped in the UK in October 2022, followed by a November 2022 release date in the U.

Paris-based Indie Sales has closed a raft of deals for “Last Swim,” Sasha Nathwani’s debut which won the Crystal Bear at the Berlin Film Festival, including in the U.S. and the U.K.

Vertigo, whose track record include “Sound of Metal” and “Christmas Eve in Miller’s Point,” has picked up the film and will set a theatrical release for it on April 4th in the U.K. and in the summer in the U.S. “Last Swim” had its U.K. premiere at BFI London Film Festival last October.

Gangs of London viewers are getting their first look at season three of the British crime drama series. Sky has released a teaser trailer showing what will come when the series returns in 2025. Series three of Gangs of London will air on Sky next year, and the trailer for it has landed. Right here, in fact.

After revitalising action cinema with the two astonishing martial arts films in The Raid franchise – his directorial debut, Merantau, is well worth tracking down too – Gareth Evans turned to television, co-creating Gangs of London with Matt Flannery in 2019.

A sprawling crime saga, the show follows the Wallace family as they grapple to keep control of their criminal empire. And we’ve had two series of it so far, with plenty of memorable moments to talk about.

The show became known for its notoriously violent action scenes, which are as visceral and gory as anything seen in a big screen slasher. Unsurprisingly, given Evans’ involvement, the work that went into those scenes was really quite something.

The Gangs of London will return to battle it out for control of the city's criminal underworld in 2025, and Sky and AMC+ have now released the first teaser for season 3 of the brutally-violent BAFTA-winning series.

The Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery-created crime drama has seen a spike in popularity since the first two seasons have been made available to stream on Netflix, and fans are eager to find out what happened to our main characters following the intense events of the previous batch of episodes.

Netflix is ready to release a thrilling action thriller that promises to stretch the genre’s boundaries. “Havoc,” starring Tom Hardy and directed by Gareth Evans, will give an exciting cinematic experience in 2025.

The film follows Hardy’s character, Detective Walker, on a desperate rescue mission involving the nephew of the city mayor. When a drug deal goes out of control, Walker must negotiate a difficult urban setting to save the politician’s son.

Director Gareth Evans, best known for his work on The Raid, brings his characteristic high-intensity action choreography to the film. In an interview with Empire magazine, Evans emphasized the film’s distinctive approach. “When it comes to a film called Havoc, we deliver on the action front,” remarked the executive producer. But with Tom Hardy, you also get an intensely muscular central performance with real depth.”

Hardy’s role is set to be more than just an action hero.

The first image has been revealed for Havoc. Havoc is a new action film focusing on the story of a drug deal that goes awry, causing a detective to work through the underworld in order to rescue a politician's son. It may be a few weeks before the second season of Gangs of London — the ultra-violent crime series created by The Raid filmmaker Gareth Evans — lands on AMC+ in the U.S., but U.K. audiences can now watch the latest blood-soaked, body-count amassing thrill ride through the British capital.

Brutal British crime drama Gangs of London is back for a second series on Sky Atlantic and Now, with a release date of 20th October in the UK and 17th November in the US, and it’s looking as dark and gritty as ever.

When the explosive first series launched in April 2020, this story of the turbulent power struggles of London’s criminal underworld – centring on the Wallace family and various other international gangs – was an instant hit, at the time becoming Sky Atlantic’s second-biggest original drama launch behind Chernobyl. As dramas go it’s a thrilling powerhouse of a series, full of epic fight scenes and twisty narrative, and certainly isn’t for the faint-hearted gore-wise.

Singapore Bans ‘#Lookatme’

Singapore has banned the release of “#LookAtMe,” a feature film by local director Ken Kwek. The InfoComm Media Development Authority said that the film exceeds film classification guidelines because it denigrates a religious community. Supposedly based in true events, the film depicts a man who is offended by a pastor who preaches against homosexuality, but whose behavior contradicts his teachings. The protagonist’s viral video about the aberrant priest lands him in jail, causing the man’s gay identical twin to fight for justice.

“#LookAtMe,” premiered at the New York Asian Film Festival and local media report that the film has been selected for next month’s Singapore International Film Festival. But the Imda ruling means that it cannot now be shown in any form in Singapore unless Kwek is successful with an appeal.

Sky has revealed a first look teaser for the highly anticipated return of ‘Gangs of London.’ In the teaser, fans will be reunited with ex-undercover cop Elliot (played by Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù) and see the first glimpse of the returning series full of twists, turns and exhilarating, cinematic action sequences.

Epic nine-part drama series Gangs Of London blew audiences away when it landed in April becoming the biggest Sky Original drama launch on Sky Atlantic of the past five years. It was a complicated, sprawling and cinematic show that delved into the underworld of the international factions making England’s capital tick which left viewers hungry for more.

Little surprise then, that the show has been renewed for a second series.

Sky has announced that the show will be returning, with filming planned for next year with an air date scheduled for 2022. The announcement from Sky didn’t state in what capacity creators Gareth Evans and Matt Flannery would be returning. Similarly no announcement was made as to whether series directors Corin Hardy and Xavier Gens would be back, though all have said they’d have an appetite to come back to the show.

So where did series one leave us?...

The first season of crime drama Gangs of London arrived all at once on Sky Atlantic and Cinemax with a bang. Allegiances were formed and broken, the body count was high, and those who did survive until the final episode were left in limbo. Gangs of London series 2 has yet to be officially announced, though it seems like a definite possibility given the buzz around series one – THR reports that talks are in progress after the show became Sky Atlantic’s most binged of the year, and second biggest original drama launch ever, after Fortitude.

All three directors – Gareth Evans, who’s also the co-creator of the show, Corin Hardy, and Xavier Gens – have expressed an appetite to return. So what would they like to see Gangs of London season 2 cover? We chatted to all three to find out.

Landing last week on Sky and Cinemax, Gangs Of London has been one of the most thrilling and explosive new shows around (check out our review) with a cliffhanger ending that leaves things open for more action.

While Gangs of London series 2 hasn’t been confirmed, there seems to be an appetite for it from show co-creator (along with Matt Flannery) Gareth Evans. Evans told The Metro:

‘There’s room for it. Without giving too much away, we definitely end the season on a note where people will be wanting more and asking what is happening next.

‘I’m treading carefully! It’s sort of a cliff-hanger but as most things it’s a story that takes on a lot of different aspects, there’s a lot of different characters in there, a lot of vested interests, there’s a lot of stray threats trailing in the wind ready to be picked up again.

With a title like Gangs Of London, you might imagine the new British television thriller would contain a fair amount of violence. And with it being the brainchild of The Raid director Gareth Evans, you might think that violence would be manifested in a series of big, bold, deftly handled action set-pieces.

Well, you’d be right on both counts. Evans and co-creator Matt Flannery – together with guest directors Corin Hardy and Xavier Gens – have crafted an epic, nine-part organized crime saga featuring some top-tier throwdowns.

A Farsi language British production shot in Jordan, the film is set in Tehran at the height of the Iran-Iraq War that ran throughout most of the 1980s. Telles will play Iris, a young neuroscientist in the London tech scene who quickly learns that her client sessions as a high-end escort provide her with an edge in the tech world, and vice versa…until, that is, she begins to question whether her actions are driven by free will, or something else altogether.
