- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
Dylan started at the ground level of film production in Vancouver, Canada at the age of 18. After several years as a technician he received a professional mentorship from Keypix Productions via the Canadian Film & TV Production Association. He quickly grew to the Development Executive role and spearheaded the development of the very successful Disney DVD titles Snow Buddies and Space Buddies.
In 2008 Dylan was one of six participants invited to the prestigious Canadian Film Centre Producers' Lab. In the following years he produced the award-winning short films Late and The Planting, while incubating several feature film projects in partnership with director Jason R. Goode under their production company Jenkinson/Goode Productions.
Dylan completed his first feature film Numb in 2015, which premiered in the Midnight Passion selection at the Busan International Film Festival. It continued on a festival run at Beijing and Shanghai International Film Festivals, and was the Closing Gala at the Whistler Film Festival (amongst others). After a successful Canadian theatrical release the film was rolled out internationally, and is now in 40+ international territories including the US via Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and UK via The Movie Partnership.
Several follow up projects are in the works, including: Prison Boy, a coming-of-age mystery; Your Heart is the Size of Your Fist, a medical drama based in a Vancouver refugee medical clinic (based upon the non-fiction book of the same name); and Common Grace, a family drama, directed by Shauna Johannesen.
