Jill S. Litwin
- Additional Crew
- Actress
- Second Unit Director or Assistant Director
Jill S. Litwin launched her career in feature films/television shows
when she faxed her resume to the Road to Perdition production office in
her native hometown of Chicago. The first assistant director happened
to pick it up and was curious to meet the woman who had backpacked
around Australia for a year on her own picking flowers for a living and
working at a carnival. Although she had only worked on several small
independent films at the time, he gave her a shot in the big leagues
and the rest was history. After proving she was a hard-working,
charismatic, quick learner, she based herself in Los Angeles where she
quickly became well-versed in the production world running base camp,
being in charge of the extras, and assisting the directors on-set such
films as Ocean's 12, Knocked Up, and The Break-Up, among others. After
five years of being inundated with phone calls for on-set work, she
decided to move back to Chicago to be closer to her family. Jill soon
began developing shows for the Discovery Channel and National
Geographic while entering a full-time masters program in education.
Upon completion of her MA in Education (with a 4.0 GPA), Ms. Litwin
decided to return to entertainment by obtaining her CA Studio Teacher's
License and joining the Chicago Film Union Local 476. Additionally, she
fulfilled the requirements to be on the Dual Credential Sub List for
the CA Studio Teacher's Union Local 884.
