Toi Juan Shannon's love for television and movies grew at a young age and he found himself recording to VHS all the shows he loved for his archive.
Toi Juan trained at Video Symphony, graduating 20+ years ago and has not stopped editing since. His first project was an infomercial that aired while he entered into the Freelance Editor world. Next he edited a feature film. Next he edited a documentary named "The Ultimate Song", which was well received at festivals. This was a huge encouragement for his pursuit of editing career. This lead to editing a series of Feature-length, Narrative and Documentary shows.
Having a growing experience at features and some shorter projects, opportunities came to edit for television. Toi Juan has worked for E!, The NFL Network, and Conan. He went on to editing nine episodes of a sit-com series "Beauty and The Baller" that aired on BET.
During the time of working on a variety of short projects, Toi Juan worked on both award winning web-series "Kid Justice" and "Spirits".
His latest movie that is in distribution is "Acts of Desperation". Since then, he has completed editing for two documentaries, "What do You Have To Lose?" and "Brothers Broken", two television pilots, "Chronicles of A Douchebag" and "Journey to America" and a music videos for "Lemoyne Alexander". He is presently editing a 6-part series documentary titled "Pancrase Hybrid History" soon to air on Netflix simultaneously with an award-winning six-part series about boxing and trainers named "10 Count".
Toi Juan as an Avid Certified Instructor and Adobe Premiere instructor has trained hundreds of editors and has been a Post Supervisor to close to 100 projects. Toi Juan began his teaching a short time after he graduated. During his entire career as an Editor, he has taught Editing at several educational institutes, e.g. USC, UCLA, NYFA and Video Symphony.
Toi Juan's motivation in all of his work has always been the pursuit of excellence through Truth.
