Once Upon a Time puts many unique spins on classic fairy tale characters. Once Upon a Time's concept is creative: the Evil Queen casts a Dark Curse that sends fairy tale characters to Storybrooke, Maine. Snow White and Prince Charming's daughter, Emma Swan, is destined to break this curse when she is 28. Emma arrives in Storybrooke because Henry, her son, finds her. However, the Evil Queen — Regina Mills in Storybrooke — adopted Henry when Emma gave him up at birth. This immediately establishes a complex family tree in Once Upon a Time, containing many surprises, twists, and turns.
And the Evil Queen is not the only character with a new identity in the real world. Marco and Archie Hopper exist: two characters formerly known as Geppetto and Jiminy Cricket from The Adventures of Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi. Another example includes Ashley Boyd, known as the titular character from Charles Perrault's Cendrillon (Cinderella). In fact,...

Pat Colbert, who portrayed the stylish Oil Baron’s Club host and manager Dora Mae on the final eight seasons of the CBS primetime soap Dallas, has died. She was 77.
Colbert died June 23 at her home in Compton, her sister Tami Colbert told The Hollywood Reporter. She had suffered three strokes over the past decade.
Colbert also played the wife of Bill Cosby’s character in the lamentable 1987 spy spoof Leonard Part 6 (1987) and showed up on episodes of Benson, The Fall Guy, Sisters and True Colors.
In 1980-81, Colbert was one of the working girls in the roadhouse run by Stella Stevens‘ Lute-Mae Sanders on the NBC primetime soap Flamingo Road, which like Dallas came from Lorimar Productions.
She appeared in the two-hour pilot and recurred throughout the first season, but her character was eliminated in season two when the network — pressured by Rev. Donald Wildmon, who as head...

Derrick Kosinski knows a few things about winning multiple eliminations and competing in finals on MTV’s The Challenge.
The Og initially appeared on Road Rules and later won three seasons of MTV’s competition series. He returned to compete in the first three seasons of the All Stars spinoff.
Derrick reached the final in that first season but was eliminated during the event’s first leg due to struggles steering a kayak or canoe.
While he’s not part of the All Stars 4 cast, he and Challenge Mania podcast host Scott Yager have been reviewing the season.
They recently highlighted the show’s eight finalists, which Episode 11 revealed, with Derrick praising a former All Stars castmate.
He shared that he felt that individual could become a more worthy All Stars winner than Yes Duffy in Season 1.

Competitors faced a difficult situation on The Challenge: All Stars 4, Episode 11.
At the start of the season, host Tj Lavin revealed that competitors needed to earn a Star.
In the first daily challenge, Tj indicated that Stars went to the three male and three female competitors who performed the best.
After that, they could only be acquired or given to a castmate by winning an elimination. Tj continually delivered the point of having a Star to cast members throughout the episodes.
During Episode 10, viewers saw Steve Meinke win an elimination against Jay Gotti, who chose to go into the elimination to try to win his Star.
With the win, Steve chose to take a star from castmate Adam Larson and give it to Ace Amerson. That set things up for an exciting situation when Episode 11 arrived.

Johnny Bananas has been off the grid for The Challenge for months, as he didn’t appear with other former champs in Season 39, aka Battle For a New Champion.
He was also not part of the All Stars 4 cast, which was filmed over a year ago and is currently airing on Paramount+.
However, Bananas participated in Peacock’s The Traitors Season 2 and continues to host his podcast on The Ringer.
A recent episode included All Stars 4 cast member Kam “Killa Kam” Williams discussing her return for the spinoff show.
She talked about her drama during filming with Cara Maria Sorbello, and Bananas also recalled “crossing” Kam during one of their earlier seasons on MTV.
During the conversation, Bananas seemingly teased something about MTV’s forthcoming Season 40 about a castmate.
Did Bananas drop a Season 40 spoiler about The Challenge?

Darryl, played by DeShae Frost, has been an integral character in Swat, with a deep bond with Hondo. Darryl was absent in seasons 5 and 6 of Swat, but occasional updates show a great relationship with Hondo. There is still a chance for Darryl to return in Swat season 7, given his strong connection to Hondo and potential storylines.
Darryl Henderson hasn't been seen in Swat for a while, here's what happened to him. After ending his stint on Criminal Minds as Derek Morgan, Shemar Moore went on to lead his own CBS procedural as Daniel "Hondo" Harrelson. While he is undoubtedly the show's true lead, Swat's success comes from its supporting cast, which includes Darryl, who is not only tied to Hondo professionally, but they also have a deep personal bond.

What would Hollywood be without a good ole Blaxploitation film? And now that “They Cloned Tyrone” has hit Netflix screens, conversations about the Blaxploitation movies that crawled so that “They Cloned Tyrone” could pimp walk have come to the forefront.
Juel Taylor’s film welcomes watchers to The Glen, a normal, everyday neighborhood where its predominately Black residents live out their lives shopping, going to church and enjoying the fruits of their labor. However, beneath the surface, but right in front of their eyes, the government is executing a plot to keep the community in an endless cycle of unhealthy behavior that ultimately blocks them from mental and financial wellness.
Like many Blaxploitation films, “They Cloned Tyrone” creatively calls out and highlights the systemic issues Black community faces while also celebrating Black culture and Black people’s perseverance.

“Sadie Hawkins is a metaphor for empowerment — and not just for women, but for everyone who is sick and tired of the status quo.” So declared Glee‘s fabulous (albeit underutilized) Coach Beiste, discussing McKinley High’s first-annual “girls-ask-boys” shindig on this week’s episode.
More accurately, though, the hour seemed more about lovelorn teens wading deep into the waters of longshot love (and other emotions).

Tina pursued Blaine. Blaine dreamed of pursuing Sam. And Sam pursued the theory that the Warblers cheated at Sectionals by using performance-enhancing drugs.

Best DirectorDarren Aronofsky'Black Swan'In many ways, Darren Aronofsky's "Black Swan" is similar to his previous film, "The Wrestler." Both lead characters are dedicated artists struggling with inner demons. To express themselves, they have only their bodies. Their age, injuries, and mental stability threaten to undermine their art. However, in "Black Swan," Aronofsky masterfully adds another layer. He parallels the journey of Nina Sayers (Natalie Portman) with the tale of "Swan Lake," the tragic ballet in which she performs. The astute viewer will notice his use of black and white in the set pieces of almost every scene, alluding to the contrast between the white and black swans. He adds elements of horror, drama, and paranoia, all of which exist in "Swan Lake." He directs the actors in such a way that you aren't ever sure what is fantasy and what is reality. All of these elements add...
