Gorilla was a Jat from Haryana. His original name was Ramphal Singh Mullick. His secretary Khalid decided to change it to Gorilla to add to his personality.

Gorilla stood 6 foot 6 inches tall and weighed 150 kgs. He left his village to study wrestling under Guru Hanuman Singh. He then went on to wrestle in competitions in Bombay.

Use to spend Rs 1000 for his food daily. This would include 1 kilograms of almonds and 14 litres of milk. He would get paid Rs 4000 daily.
