Jay Manuel and Pamela Chavez are the newest stars coming to TLC to share their unique story. They were both born with the same rare genetic disorder. Jay & Pamela premieres on TLC on Tuesday, March 4, and will dive deep into Manuel and Chavez’s disability and how they live with the condition. Scroll down for everything we know so far. What condition do TLC’s Jay and Pamela have? Manuel and Chavez have Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3 (Oi), which is a brittle bone disorder. What is Osteogenesis Imperfecta Type 3? Oi is a “genetic disorder characterized by increased bone fragility, low bone mass, and susceptibility to bone fractures,” according to the National Organization for Rare Diseases. As Manuel explained in a preview for the show, “We’re both little people.” Manuel was told that he would not live past 5 years old, while Chavez wasn’t even expected to make it to 1 year old.

One of the most iconic reality TV competitions of the early 2000s was none other than America's Next Top Model. The modeling competition was created by Tyra Banks as a way to train promising young women who were interested in becoming supermodels.

The show originally began in 2003 and aired for a whopping 24 seasons until finally coming to a close in late 2015. However, Tyra recently shared that fans of the since-defunct show might have a renewal to look forward to in the future.

Vice recently released The Shocking Truth About America's Next Top Model as part of their Dark Side of Reality TV series. In the documentary, previous contestants of Tyra Banks' controversial modeling contest opened up about their horrible experiences on the show. Having watched Antm as a child through my teens, I'd say Tyra may have been projecting her traumatic modeling experiences onto the contestants.

The supermodel—who was sued for alleged abusive conduct on America's Got Talent—has been open about facing many rejections in the industry, which she even pinned on a clueless Naomi Campbell in 2005. There have also been related statements from a former judge reportedly fired by Tyra, regarding her behavior on the show.

The former judges admit there was no bad blood behind the scenes and their departure was motivated by personal career growth. Both Manuel and Barker reveal some of the struggles and controversies they faced on Antm, including their relationships with Tyra Banks.

On America's Next Top Model, Mr. Jay and Nigel Barker sat beside Tyra Banks, helping her judge young wannabe models. After 18 cycles, the creative director and photographer left the show. Jay and Nigel joined Americas Next Top Model in the very first season. Nigel, was an established fashion photographer, and Jay worked as a stylist and makeup artist for magazines like Vogue and Harpers Bazaar. The pair used their experience to help coach girls to deliver good pictures week after week.

Fashion icon André Leon Talley, the former editor-at-large of Vogue and a judge on The CW’s America’s Next Top Model, has died at the age of 73.

Per TMZ, Talley passed away Tuesday at a hospital in White Plains, N.Y. A cause of death was not disclosed.

Former “America’s Next Top Model” judge Jay Manuel is penning a book inspired by his time on the hit reality show, Variety has learned exclusively.

The novel, titled, “The Wig, The Bitch & The Meltdown,” published by Wordeee, will be released this on Aug. 3.

“America’s Next Top Model” has recently been in the headlines, facing criticism for out-of-touch commentary that has not aged well with viewers calling out the show for racial insensitivity and body shaming on social media, thanks to renewed interest in “Top Model,” in light of quarantine-enhanced binging on Hulu and Amazon Prime.

Despite the resurgence of the “America’s Next Top Model” in the pop-culture zeitgeist — for better or for worse — Manuel, who spent 18 seasons on the series as the creative director, has been working on his novel since 2014.

Miss South Africa, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, has been crowned Miss Universe 2017!

The 22-year-old contestant beat out 91 other women to take the top prize in the annual pageant, which took place at The Axis at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Sunday night.

Nel-Peters, the second-ever Miss Universe winner from South Africa, was crowned by last year’s winner, Miss Universe 2016, Iris Mittenaere from France.

The winner was decided by a panel of six judges, including TV personalities Ross Matthews and Jay Manuel, Ufc correspondent Megan Olivi, and Miss Universe 2015, Pia Wurtzbach.

Beauty queens from the Philippines, Canada, the U.S., Sri Lanka and Jamaica made it to the final 16, before Nel-Peters took the crown.

The show was once again hosted by Steve Harvey, who poked fun at his infamous 2015 flub throughout the pageant, but had no trouble announcing Miss South Africa's title! See more in the video below.

And this weekend, there was no bigger story than the impending “Frankenstorm.” Morning news — and particularly the weather people strolling the New Jersey boardwalk — had plenty to say, and they weren’t the only ones. Most simply tweeted messages of support, but others started questioning things. "America's Next Top Model" will be back for a Cycle 20 and this time it's returning with some testosterone. That's right, the next season "America's Next Top Model" will include male models.

Cycle 20 will debut in summer 2013. A specific premiere date has not yet been announced.

The male models will move into the same house as the female models, and the new cycle will include Cycle 19's added social media elements that let viewers vote for their favorite models.

There's no word on what the judge panel will look like for Cycle 20. Host and executive producer Tyra Banks shook up the series when she parted ways with Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and J. Alexander. The three were replaced with Johnny Wujek as photo shoot creative consultant, social media correspondent Bryanboy, and male model Rob Evans. The judge panel for Cycly 19 also included Kelly Cutrone.

For the longest time, reality competition shows enjoyed a relaxing situation atop primetime TV, drawing in large ratings and dominating water-cooler conversation.

The equation used to be simple: Bring together some entertaining average Joes and have them participate in various intense challenges, competing for prizes and eternal glory. But throughout the years, it seems these shows have felt a need to step up their games and increase the entertainment factor.

This year, an unprecedented number of reality competition shows have undergone extensive rebranding and rejuvenation attempts. Here’s the lowdown on what changes to expect from your favorite guilty pleasures:

Fox’s American Idol

The juggernaut of reality competition shows isn’t just undergoing a facelift — it’s getting some major reconstructive surgery. In fact, the only components resembling the American Idol born 11 seasons ago will be singing contestants and host Ryan Seacrest charming viewers.

We were definitely sad to see Nigel Barker get fired from "America's Next Top Model" during Tyra Banks' unfortunate restructuring back in April, but Barker seems to be a true professional and doesn't harbor any resentment.

The former "Top Model" judge was the victim of a re-casting tactic meant to boost dropping ratings in the show's 18th season when his close friend Tyra gave him, Miss J and Jay Manuel the axe. But just in case you needed another reason to love Nigel, he told the New York Post that there really are no hard feelings between him and his former boss:

“I know it was tough on [Tyra] as well. It’s never easy to fire someone, least of all, of course, a friend. At the same time, this is business and things change. She’s a good girl, a strong woman, and she’s done a lot with her life.

Jay Manuel should feel pretty good about himself right now. The pictures from the first Mr. Jay-less "America's Next Top Model" photo shoot have been released, and they are some of the most misogynistic, badly photoshopped work to grace the internet. This misguided attempt at artistry, shot by "90210" star Shenae Grimes, never would've happened with Manuel around.

Even the weirdest "Antm" shoots from the past weren't as downright offensive as this new one, which features the college student models posing like hunting trophies. Adding insult to injury, the ladies' names are 'shopped onto the bottom of their "plaques" as an afterthought -- honestly, it's a miracle they didn't use Comic Sans.

Tonight, Tyra Banks will present her controversial and confusing 19th cycle of America's Next Top Model to the few of us who may still care, or at least want to see what all the fuss is over. Antm has, undoubtedly, become a cultural phenomenon during its nine years on-air, acquiring fans both stateside and abroad with adaptations in numerous countries that I will forgo attempting to spell correctly let alone pronounce.

So why change it all up now? Why kick beloved judges Nigel Barker, Jay Manuel and Miss J to the curb, making room for the opinionated Kelly Cutrone? Tyra has been around the block for years, so let's give her the benefit of the doubt and say that she must know what she's doing, right?...

There have always been the token "smart girls" on "America's Next Top Model," from the brainy pre-med Elyse Sewell to Yalie Victoria Marshman. But the cast of the 19th season -- sorry, cycle -- of Tyra Banks' televised modeling showdown may all be "smart girls."

This season the show is titled "America's Next Top Model: College Edition" with each girl repping her specific university. You might assume, then, that these co-eds are brighter than your average "Antm" model wannabes. But why assume when Tyra Banks has the stats on file?

When asked by Glamour whether this season's contestants are smarter than usual, Tyra responded:

"Their IQs are higher than ever. We test the IQs every year as part of our screening process. Yeah, I'm probably saying too much here. But yes their IQs are higher than ever. These are college girls."

Tyra would know, too -- she went to Harvard.

A preview has been released of America's Next Top Model's 19th cycle. The new season, which premieres on Friday, features a cast entirely made up of college students. Nigel Barker may not be an "America's Next Top Model" judge anymore, but he doesn't have any hard feelings.

In a recent interview on "Fox & Friends" (weekdays at 6 a.m. Pt on Fox), the former judge -- who served on the show's panel for an impressive 18 cycles -- said that although Tyra Banks "went through a bit of housecleaning," he had a "great run."

So what's Barker's next project? The fashion photographer is on his way to another fashion competition show, "The Face," a project that supermodels Karolina Kurkova, Coco Rocha and Naomi Campbell have are also attached to.

"America's Next Top Model" -- which let Barker, J. Alexander and Jay Manuel go-- has recruited Rob Evans, Johnny Wujek, Jontè and Bryanboy for Cycle 19.

Tyra Banks almost walked away from her hit modeling reality series "America's Next Top Model."

“I've thought about turning the reigns over,” she told the New York Post. "I had to be reminded that [the show] is my baby. A few years ago, I was willing to give my baby up for adoption!" Banks said she's hired help, a personal executive coach, to help her cope with the pressures. She said she's learning to delegate.

“It has decreased my stress more," she said.
