Aw, Will & Grace! You shouldn’t have! Already this year, the revival had given us everything we could have hoped for (its existence) and more (its fabulousness). And on top of that, Tuesday it presented us with “A Gay Olde Christmas,” a holiday episode spiked with just enough optimistic perspective to add a little ho ho ho to our ha ha ha.

As the special began, a long (read: endless) wait for a table at a restaurant left Will ready to bail on Christmas Eve dinner with Grace, Jack and Karen.

Living in Chicago, I spend much of my year being jealous of all the people I see online going to the various genre film festivals held around the parts of the country that aren’t here… until now.
For the first time ever, Chicago is getting its very own full-blown genre festival with Cinepocalypse, a week-long event running November 2nd–9th at the Music Box Theatre, the best place to see a movie in the entire city. Formerly the Bruce Campbell Horror Film Festival (which I have attended since it began and always completely loved), Cinepocalypse now has a new venue, a larger and more ambitious slate of programming, and dozens of special guests. It’s going to be bigger and better than any festival of its kind the city has ever seen, and I can’t wait to be there as much as possible to see as many cool movies as possible.

Primal Rage is a Sasquatch based horror film. From special effects guru Patrick Magee, this indie film takes place on the Oregon-California border. Here, a young couple are terrorized by a monstrous creature. The film stars: Casey Gagliardi, Andrew Joseph Montgomery and Eloy Casados. A trailer for the film was released earlier this year (found below), along with a movie poster. Also, there are plans to bring the film to theatres, in a few months. A preview of the film's launch is hosted here. In the trailer, several hunters are stalked and attacked in the woods. A couple are also chased. But, this is no ordinary animal. It is one of ancient Native American legend. This time, Bigfoot will not be melting back into the woods, until everyone has been dismembered. Primal Rage will also show in Santa Monica. The film will have an appearance at the American Film Market,...

Jake the Snake Roberts, WWE Hall of Famer, has been tranferred between Las Vegas hospitals since Friday dealing with a number of conditions that began on a flight down to Nevada when Roberts alerted flight attendants to pain he felt in his chest and head, as well as lightheadedness and shortness of breath. Roberts' battle with addiction has been well-documented, though his Attorney Kyle P. Magee has stated that Roberts' condition has nothing to do with his client's former substance issues. In a statement to the press, Magee revealed that rumors of Roberts losing consciousness on the flight were incorrect, as were the asserations made that Roberts had not been sober at the time of the incident.
"Jake was induced in a coma-like state to treat effectively treat the pneumonia...drugs or alcohol have no bearing on this event despite Internet rumors," Magee said in a statement to the media.

Chicago – Hats off to Cohen Media Group for unearthing yet another indispensable piece of cinema. Andre Téchiné, the brilliant French director perhaps best known for 1994’s “Wild Reeds,” united three great actresses to star in his ambitious, painstakingly researched 1979 portrait of the Brontë sisters who authored literary classics under male pseudonyms.
It’s ironic to see Isabelle Huppert cast in the role of the least well-known Brontë girl, Anne, considering that her screen career ended up being far more prosperous than those of her co-stars. Even at 26, Huppert has the piercing stare of a weary, time-worn soul, and her presence here is as hypnotic as ever. A mournful close-up in which her eyes close deeply upon reflection of an immediate tragedy is more achingly forlorn than the saddest of string orchestras.
Blu-ray Rating: 5.0/5.0
Indeed, Téchiné’s film is a majestic ode to the sweet sorrow of melancholia. It’s startlingly...
