Hell is being a teenage girl. Add being a world-class gymnast on top of that, and it's a world of pain. Warm-up to the 2024 Olympic Games by revisiting the underrated girl power sports classic, Stick It. Starring Jeff Bridges as an intense coach known more for injuring athletes than helping them win, the film hasn't lost its kick in today's cutthroat world of gymnastics. Featuring a young cast of teen hopefuls, Stick It cast multiple real-life competitive gymnasts in the film to give it an authentic feel, including Nastia Liukin, Maddy Curley, and Tarah Paige. Written and directed by Jessica Bendinger in her directorial debut, she had previously penned the script for Bring it On. Carrying her trademark notes of teen feminism and pep, Stick It has an edge to it, while still celebrating how tough women athletes are.

Star Trek is pretty much unique when it comes to fan-made movies and episodes that pay homage to the sci-fi series. Left alone by CBS and Paramount (as long as they don’t try to make money from them) fans build elaborate sets and even bring in recognisable Star Trek actors to produce work that is anything but amateur.
The latest hoping to go into production is Star Trek: Renegades, co-written by Jack Trevino and staring Walter Koenig, Tim Russ, Garrett Wang and Robert Picardo among others, names that will be familiar to any Star Trek fan.
Jack Trevino is no stranger to the world of Star Trek. Having written the hugely popular fan-made miniseries Star Trek: Of Gods And Men which stared a number of Star Trek actors including Walter Koenig and Nichelle Nichols. The series was awarded ‘Best Web Production 2008’ by SyFy Portal which is now Alpha Airlock.

The legend of Bloody Mary is rife with all the tools for someone to make a really kick-ass movie. Unfortunately just about every attempt thus far has resulted in the type of cinematic bile that you shouldn't go near without a Hazmat suit. Is it time to get it right? Let's hope so.
Director Stephen Hudis is in the final stages of casting for his latest film, The Summoning, which already stars Robert Carradine and Tarah Paige.
They're working from a script penned by Lindy S. Hudis, Stephen R. Hudis, and Stephen J. Downing. Keep your fingers crossed that the spooky legend will get the treatment it deserves when shooting commences in Louisiana in the spring of 2010.

Stephen Hudis is in the final leg of casting on The Summoning , a Bloody Mary-inspired horror film starring Robert Carradine and Tarah Paige. When a series of brutal murders occur on a college campus in New England, nobody believes when one girl claims the murderer is the legend 'Bloody Mary'. As the deaths pile up, and the causes become even stranger, they become aware that some far more scary is amongst them. Hudis has spent a good portion of his career in stunts (he was a tanker truck driver in Shocker ), however, that changed when he directed The Lesson in 2000. The Summoning will be his sophomore effort. Shooting is said to begin in spring of 2010.
