By the time High Potential wrapped its first season on ABC, Kaitlin Olson’s character was basically drowning in eligible bachelors.
Many fans are pulling for Morgan to end up with Karadec (Daniel Sunjata), her new partner at the LAPD, while others are curious to see where things go between Morgan and Tom (Jd Pardo), the janitor-turned-nurse with whom she was getting hot and heavy before he relocated to San Diego for work. Heck, people are even ‘shipping Morgan with David Giuntoli’s mystery character, who has only gotten about 30 seconds of screen time — and we don’t even know his name yet!

After an incredible premiere season, High Potential is walking away as the show that everyone wants more of — this TV Fanatic included.
Not only did the series showcase Kaitlin Olson’s incredible range as an actor, but it also left audiences hooked with outstanding writing and character development.
Despite this report card’s “worst episode” section, every High Potential episode was even more amazing than the last.

It’s the question on every High Potential fan’s mind after last week’s season finale: Who the heck is David Giuntoli playing?
The LAPD spent the episode solving a series of deadly puzzles, presumably organized by a wealthy recluse named David Peck, but it was eventually revealed that his identity was actually being used by a far more dangerous game master (played by Giuntoli). Even worse, this mystery man has selected Morgan as his next challenger — whether she likes it or not.

Popular ABC crime drama High Potential recently wrapped its first season and the finale did not disappoint. The episode ended by setting up a villain story arc for Season 2.
The episode, titled "Let's Play," pushed the LAPD to its limits as Morgan and the team tried to catch a criminal mastermind. Speaking to TVLine, showrunner Todd Harthan explained that the mystery character may be the focus in the next season. "I love a good serialized villain," he said. "I also love going into a Season 2 where there might be another surprise or two, so it’s a bit of an open box."

A series of life-and-death challenges, a glamorous (dare we say romantic) police gala, and the introduction of a possible Big Bad for next season? Oh yes, High Potential gives good finale.
The ABC procedural wrapped its first season on Tuesday by pitting the LAPD against a sadistic strategist, one whose deadly games tested Morgan’s team like never before. Poor Oz almost died at the bottom of a pool, ultimately saved by Morgan’s quick thinking and Karadec’s even-quicker swimming.

Superman & Lois stars Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch recently discussed The CW show, sharing their thoughts on the season finale. Titled "It Went By So Fast," the final episode aired on December 2, 2024, and depicted the iconic characters' respective deaths three decades after putting away their archnemesis Lex Luthor.
Hoechlin and Tulloch were on Megacon's Superman & Lois panel. In response to Cbr's question about their initial reaction to Superman & Lois Season 4's script, Tulloch responded, "I was surprised they went so full circle." Hoechlin added, "I thought it was very bold. When I read it, I felt different than when we started shooting it. I knew it would be good." In the season finale, Lois passes away after her cancer returns, with Clark joining her in the afterlife a few years later after dying of heart failure. The pair, however, enjoyed a full life together before their deaths.

Reboots are all the rage now, and here’s a quick rundown of every network show that is getting the treatment!
“Everything old is new again” surely applies to TV these days. It’s like you can’t flip a channel or put on a streamer without a new take on an old show, some of which went off the air not that long ago. Paramount+ just canceled the revival of Fraiser and some old cable shows like White Collar may get the sequel treatment soon.
For network shows, it looks like reboots won’t be dying anytime soon. Networks rely on name recognition for a TV show and often help if the original actors or creators take part in it. Some shows may seem to not need a reboot, while others are shows fans would love to see coming back.

Peacock is bringing Grimm back, this time as a movie. The popular supernatural drama, which aired on NBC from 2011 to 2017, is being reimagined as a feature-length film.
Josh Berman, best known for creating Drop Dead Diva, is writing and producing the project alongside the original series’ creators, David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf.
Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner from Hazy Mills Productions, along with Universal Television, are also attached as executive producers.
Details about the plot and cast remain under wraps, but the movie is expected to connect to the original series while introducing new elements. This approach could cater to long-time fans of the show while also being accessible to new audiences. Some speculate the film could serve as a springboard for a larger franchise if it proves successful.

Drop Dead Diva creator Josh Berman is writing the new take, which he is executive producing with the original series’ creative team, co-creators/executive producers and showrunners David Greenwalt and Jim Kouf, Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner’s Hazy Mills Productions and Universal Television.
The exact premise of the Grimm movie is kept under wraps. It is believed to have ties to the series for diehard fans but could also be easily accessed by new viewers not familiar with the original mythology as it introduces new mythology and characters. In success, the followup could launch a franchise, I hear.

NBC's Grimm, one of the most underrated dark fantasy shows of the past decade, has now hit streaming. Featuring a likable cast that went on to become familiar faces, Grimm followed a supernatural hunter who battled classic fantasy creatures. A forgotten gem from the 2010s, Grimm was a rare instance when the modernization of classic fairy and folk tales worked as a procedural. It's not perfect by any means, especially in the show's latter seasons, but there is enough to keep fantasy lovers invested from start to finish.
All six seasons of Grimm are now available to stream on Peacock. The show stars David Giuntoli as Nicholas "Nick" Burkhardt, a homicide detective who comes from a long line of "Grimms," which have the superhuman ability to see the mythological creatures known as the Wesen. Alongside his partner, Detective Hank (Russell Hornsby), they solve week-to-week mysteries revolving around the Wesen...

NBC's Grimm was all about fighting monsters, but one entity that apparently can't be killed is Grimm itself. Deadline reports that Peacock is currently reviving the supernatural series, which originally starred David Giuntoli and ran for six seasons from 2011 to 2017.

Quick Links DC's Doomsday Was Always Kept a Soulless Killing Machine Superman & Lois' Series Finale Has Doomsday Ending His Own Life
The following contains spoilers for Superman & Lois Season 4, Episode 10, "It Went By So Fast," now available on the CW app. This article contains discussion of suicide.
When fans saw Superman & Lois turn Bizarro into Doomsday, they were skeptical at first. They wondered if it would be mishandled the way Zack Snyder's Doomsday was after being made from the DNA of General Zod. Thankfully, that wasn't the case. Doomsday was layered with humanity like never before.
However, that didn't change one fact: Michael Cudlitz's Lex Luthor kept finding ways to unleash him as a hound of war. Despite the sympathy that viewers had for the tragic Doomsday, viewers knew he had to die. It comes in the series finale, but it's handled in the best possible way, evoking a lot of emotion,...

It is an exciting time for fans of DC comics for James Gunn’s Dcu has been coming along nicely, with the first film, Superman, expected to release next year. Full of several new characters and new faces in familiar roles, it stars Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Superman/Clark Kent’s one true love.

While it is exciting to have new actors redefine familiar characters and add to the legacy, there is one thing that even Gunn’s Dcu can’t do that Bitsie Tulloch did in Superman & Lois.

Lois Lane is a character often found in the many versions of Superman mythos, and in fact, without Lane, the Kryptonian superhero’s story might remain unfinished in a lot of iterations.

In the ’80s, Mary Page Keller and Thomas Ian Griffith played one of the hottest couples on daytime television. As Caitlin Ewing and Sally Frame on Another World, their characters faced drama and even an invalid wedding. In real life, the two have been married since 1991. They’re both flourishing in their professional careers, too. Most recently, they have both made their mark on the Netflix hit drama Virgin River, a series which features plenty of soapy elements.

Although the horror genre tends to terrify viewers, audiences occasionally look for something with a tinge of horror that does not go overboard on scares or gore. This usually occurs with series that blend horror with other genres like mystery, procedural, and coming-of-age stories to create something that has enough scares to keep things engaging while keeping viewers who are looking for something lighter happy. This mix of different styles creates something new in the process and leads to compelling and creepy horror shows that wont have audiences cowering in fear.
Many of the best horror TV shows ever made managed to present creepy narratives while not losing themselves in gory imagery or being packed with cheap jump scares. Long-running shows like Supernatural have gained devoted fanbases by appealing to many styles, while anthology series like Black Mirror mixed truly terrifying concepts with lighter, more palpable episodes. A hit series that thrived off the back of its ability to mix police procedural drama with fantasy intrigue, exceptional characters, and a gradually expanding story world of supernatural characters and societies, Grimm ran for six seasons from 2011 to 2017. It primarily follows Nick Burkhardt (David Giuntoli), a Portland detective who learns he is descended from a long line of warriors known as Grimms, giving him the ability to see inhuman creatures disguised in civilization and, with the help of his friends and colleagues, sets out to defend his city.

Parker Young is a television and movie actor who has had a strong career almost the entire time he's been working, and it's clear that he is not looking to slow down his output anytime soon. Born on August 16, 1988, Young began his professional acting career in 2008 when he appeared in both an episode of Days of Our Lives as an unnamed delivery man and then Gingerbread Man 2: Passion of the Crust as Cornelius Entemann, the unfortunate fourth victim in the schlocky horror movie about a sentient gingerbread cookie.
After that start, Young quickly moved into more significant roles in more notable productions, primarily in television, with a few movies thrown in as well. His breakout came quite quickly, however, when he was cast as Ryan Shay in the hit series, Suburgatory. Here’s a crossover that would make any DC fan jealous: Bitsie Tulloch is quite possibly the only person on the planet who can actually say that she’s married to both Superman and Batman.
In addition to playing house with Tyler Hoechlin on The CW’s Superman & Lois, Tulloch is married to David Giuntoli, who has voiced Bruce Wayne (aka the Dark Knight) in several animated projects. If that wasn’t enough, her personal and professional worlds recently collided when Giuntoli came on board to direct the third episode of Superman & Lois’ upcoming final season.

Grimm defied all odds, lasting for six seasons with over 100 episodes, blending procedural elements with fantasy in a unique way. Despite its seeming cancelation in 2016, Grimm's creators were not surprised, as they wanted a satisfying but not necessarily definitive ending. Grimm remains popular in syndication and streaming, with a comic book series and tie-in novels, although a spinoff series did not move forward.
Based on the fairy tales written by the Brothers Grimm, Grimm was a supernatural NBC drama that seemed to defy all conventional wisdom. It was released in 2011, when other fantasy shows such as Constantine, based on the hit adult DC Comic Hellblazer, were dropping like flies. The popularity of serialized television was still relatively new, but Grimm also had a procedural element, making it more akin to series like The X-Files. It blended the familiar format of a monster/mystery-of-the-week series with a fantastical internal mythology.

The Brothers' Grimm fairytales come to life in the cop drama Grimm, where fantastical elements are woven into a well-worn episodic narrative. Yet with all this excitement dashing across the screen, the character of Juliette (Elizabeth "Bitsie" Tulloch) becomes one of the most bland and frustrating elements of the show. Introduced as the protagonist's, Nick's (David Giuntoli) girlfriend, Juliette had the potential of becoming a nuanced and intriguing character but became the furthest thing from it. Juliette was one of Grimm's biggest downfalls, as the creation and portrayal of her character simply failed in every transformation she had. From human to Wesen to assassin, each of her phases becomes lackluster as she is thrown into each extreme, never really able to become dynamic or complex. What is more infuriating is that other female characters in the series have been rendered successfully as nuanced, but Juliette is apparently exempt from this treatment.

Although Nick (David Giuntoli) kills his role as a detective to both humans and fantasy creatures in this fantastical cop drama, there is a more clear-cut winner for the superlative of the best character in Grimm. From his first interaction with the feared and confused cop, Silas Weir Mitchell's Monroe captures the hearts of every fan of and newcomer to the series. He may be the most obvious winner, but his classic role as comedic relief in a cop drama is not the only reason he is deserving. While Monroe certainly is an endearing oddball, his more grounded characterization and growth make him a comforting and relatable rock that holds us down amid the chaos surrounding Nick's storyline. This also translates to his dynamic friendship with Nick, which is ironically probably the healthiest one Nick has, speaking to the positivity of Monroe's character. Becoming our guiding light in this dark world,...

At first glance, it may seem like ABC's A Million Little Things was a show about death — it certainly gives off this impression from the first episode. However, the popular show went on to expand from that, and many of its deeper themes soon became apparent. While never really hitting the mark with critics, with sluggish ratings barely above the 50% mark, A Million Little Things was terminally underrated.
Despite this, the show had a loyal following, and a fan base that appreciated its straightforward good qualities, even if they were plain and not put across with any special resonance that garnered acclaim. After a successful four-season run between 2018 and 2022, showrunner DJ Nash somewhat abruptly announced that the fifth season would be its last. Its loyal fans were left devastated, quickly petitioning for more.
