Doc concluded its first season on a high note for Fox.

The finale of the freshman medical drama, which aired Tuesday, secured 2.4M total live + same-day viewers, per Nielsen, marking a 9% increase from the series premiere. In the 18-49 demo, the finale skyrocketed 56% over the premiere to a 0.28 L+Sd rating.

The demo success is particularly noteworthy, since its the strongest 18-49 growth for any major broadcast network scripted series, drama or new show, over the course of its premiere season since Fox’s Empire in 2015.

Averaging 2.3M live + same-day viewers and a 0.24 18-49 demo rating over the course of the first season, Doc is Fox’s highest-rated and most-watched new drama this season. Ultimately, episodes have swelled to an average of around 7.2M multi-platform viewers, more than tripling the L+Sd audience.

“Doc” flashed back to a pivotal tragedy in Dr. Amy Larsen’s elusive past, making room for a new beginning for her family.

Episode 4, titled “One Small Step,” followed as Amy (Molly Parker) — who works to learn more about her past after waking up from an accident having lost eight years of her memory — stumbled upon an old video clip that showed her icy treatment toward her then-husband Michael (Omar Metwally), filmed some time after the death of their son Danny. The video featured Amy sniping at Michael for an issue that came up during their daughter Katie’s birthday. After Michael called her out on her attitude, Amy lashed out saying nothing goes well in their lives unless she’s handling it herself. Gina (Amirah Vann) then stepped in, telling the couple to not argue during the birthday party.

Deadline reports that the first episode of Doc has reached 15.6 million cross-platform viewers in the first 11 days, according to the network. The milestone number of viewers is a 609% increase over the live and same-day audience for the episode, which came in at 2.2 million. Doc's series premiere is now the most-watched debut telecast for Fox since 9-1-1: Lone Star aired in 2020.

“Doc,” which stars Molly Parker as a medical chief whose memory is partially lost in a devastating accident, has grown its audience to 15.6 million viewers across platforms in the first 11 days since its Jan. 7 premiere, according to Nielsen viewing figures. The premiere now ranks as Fox’s most-watched debut telecast across all platforms in five years, since “9-1-1: Lone Star” premiered in January 2020.

With delayed viewing across Fox, Hulu and other streaming platforms, the premiere episode grew by 609% when compared to its live-plus-same-day viewership of 2.2 million, which the show brought in during its linear debut on Jan. 7.
