Developed from his eponymous short which had its world premiere in competition at Sundance followed by SXSW in 2015, the dark comedy follows Lynn Walters, a grieving widow who sees a vision of Jesus on the shorts of young, queer aqua aerobics instructor Rudi.
Convinced Rudi has been sent from God to heal and reinvigorate her life, Lynn hopes he will somehow fill the void left by her dead husband while he endures a toxic relationship with Jim, his older life coach.

Now Daley and his Ludo Studio partner Charlie Aspinwall are developing The Strange Chores, a 2D animated series for ABC3 about two 12-year-old boys, both troublemakers, who earn pocket money by doing bizarre chores for their mysterious neighbour. The boys. adventures often involve supernatural elements.

Produced by Hoodlum Entertainment, the six-parter will premiere on Hulu on October 19.
Owned by Disney, 21st Century Fox and NBCUniversal, the service streamed more than 1 billion videos in the first quarter of this year. Its paid subscription service, Hulu Plus, has more than 4 million subscribers.
The deal was concluded by Dcd Rights, which had sold the show to a bunch of other territories including China and Russia. Network Ten has picked up first rights to a debut comedy feature by Ed Kavalee starring some of Australia’s best known comedians.
Scumbus is Kavalee’s first film, written, produced and funded by the comedian and directed by Luke Tierney.
The film, an idea of Kavalee’s and friend Josh Lawson, will be broadcast on Saturday 10 November at 9.30pm and later on Ten’s catch up service.
Kavalee told Encore: “It was conceived by myself and Josh Lawson before he got taken under the wing of Will Ferrell.”
“It was made for TV. No one is making comedy telemovies. So I thought let’s give this a go. Ten saw it, loved it and said they’d love to play it,” he said.
