- Bipin Nadkarni is a celebrated film maker known for his exemplary work such as Uttarayan (2004) , Aevdhese Aabhal (2007) and Darbaan 2020.
Born in August 1964, in the city of dreams, Mumbai, Bipin pursued his graduation in Arts from Mumbai's well known Elphinstone college.
Later, in 1989, Bipin began his career in advertising films assisting Ram Madhvani & Sumantra Ghosal.
After gaining an enriching experience, in the year 2000, Bipin started producing and directing TV commercials under the banner of Opticus films.
2005 brought him nationwide recognition when he produced and directed his first Marathi feature film, Uttarayan (2004). The film won him the National Award for 'The Best Marathi Feature Film.' Uttarayan also won 'The Kodak Motion Picture Film' award in New York. The film gained fame and appreciation at several international film festivals. Uttarayanis streaming on OTT Amazon Prime .
In 2006, Bipin pleased audiences with his second feature film Aevdhese Aabhal (2007). Bipin helmed the production and direction of this one too. The film bagged 'Maharashtra State Award' along with other awards. Aevdhe se abhaal was showcased globally apart from being showcased at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA). Aevdhe se Abhaal is available on OTT , ZEE5 Premium.
2007 onwards Bipin continued his tryst with advertising films, redefining the industry with his Midas touch.
In 2020, Bipin produced and directed his first Hindi feature film Darbaan , a stirring tale of a care taker and his master, inspired by a short story by Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. A ZEE5 Original film, it is now streaming on the OTT platform ZEE5 Premium.- IMDb Mini Biography By: movietime
