Lucifer Season 6 Episode 8
“This is the worst idea the doctor has ever had.”
It’s the rare episode of Lucifer that moves outside its comfort zone of dead bodies, shady suspects, and puzzling evidence, but “Save the Devil, Save the World” does just that as it hones in on a much bigger problem. The end of the world appears nigh, and no one knows why.
While the introspective offering ventures into clip-show territory, the past scenes never feel obtrusive, nor do they stand in the way of fresh, new material. It’s fascinating to learn how others see you, and that’s certainly a big part of “Save the Devil, Save the World.” But it’s how we see ourselves that becomes the focal point of Team Lucifer’s reaction to Doctor Linda’s book about their leader. Of course, the greatest revelation is Lucifer...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Lucifer Season 6 Episode 8 “Save the Devil, Save the World.”] It’s time for Lucifer’s (Tom Ellis) final therapy session with Dr. Linda Martin (Rachael Harris) — and for everyone to find out about her book (and how she portrays them in it) — as we reach the drama’s final episodes. And just as he makes a decision about his future as God after failing to take the throne all season, his brother, the angel Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside), returns with news that will likely bring down his good mood. Meanwhile, forensic scientist Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia) is finally in on everything after figuring it all (and more) out herself, and she remains hurt that no one told her the truth. But some words from someone not in the know might be just what she needs to hear. Another Problem as They Face the End of the World Now that Ella has...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Lucifer Season 6 Episode 5 “The Murder of Lucifer Morningstar.”] Well, Dr. Linda Martin (Rachael Harris) was looking for a challenge after having God (Dennis Haysbert) on her couch, and she gets one as Lucifer‘s final season continues: future child angst faced by present-day parents. And she’s not the only one taking her job to the next level in “The Murder of Lucifer Morningstar” because Chloe Decker (Lauren German) decides it’s time to put her detective hat on once again to solve a mystery: the title of the episode. Plus, Maze (Lesley-Ann Brandt) and Eve (Inbar Lavi) are planning their wedding — and honeymoon (that’s where the spikes and moat will come in), and forensic scientist Ella Lopez (Aimee Garcia), the only one in the dark about the truth about her friends, may know more than anyone could even guess. History Won’t Repeat Itself Following Rory (Brianna Hildebrand) calling her “Mom,...

[Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Lucifer Season 6 Episode 3 “Yabba Dabba Do Me.”] Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is still on a quest to prove he can be God, and in “Yabba Dabba Do Me,” he finally seems to figure it all out… just before his entire world is upended. Sure, he started caring about Carol Corbett (Scott Porter). But sort of off Dr. Linda Martin’s (Rachael Harris) suggestion, Lucifer decides to help someone with whom there’s no chance of that happening again: the first criminal he and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) caught together, Jimmy Barnes, who killed the devil’s friend. He may be dead, but that makes it “almost easier,” Lucifer admits. He can just pop down to hell. Chloe insists on joining him; Amenadiel’s (D.B. Woodside) necklace makes her incredibly strong, so it’ll help her survive a trip to hell. Once down there, she spots Lucifer’s throne (“it looks so...

Netflix dropped the trailer for the upcoming sixth and final (for real this time) season of “Lucifer” on Tuesday, revealing that Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) and Chloe Decker (Lauren German) are having a hard time letting go of their normal(ish) life in Los Angeles and heading up to the Silver City so the once-Devil can take his rightful place on the throne after earning the title of God.
“What’s the rush? Becoming God is a big job. Maybe he doesn’t want to go in half-cocked,” Chloe says to Amenadiel, when he comes to tell Lucifer it’s time for him to ascend. “I should definitely be full-cocked,” Lucifer adds.
While the almost-Lord on High and his soulmate are procrastinating, Ella (Aimee Garcia) says the “apocalypse” appears to be on its way and a mysterious angel with red wings (played by Brianna Hildebrand) is seeking vengeance on Lucifer for some reason.

We’re now just days away from Lucifer season 5A arriving on Netflix, the first batch of episodes of what’s the DC supernatural series’ penultimate season. Now feels like a good time to hop ahead into the future, then, and take a look at what we already know about Lucifer season 6, which was only just officially announced back in June.
We first heard that season 5 might not be the last one in February, but then doubt was cast on a sixth season in April due to a contractual dispute with star Tom Ellis. Eventually this was worked out, though, and things were able to move forward. Since then, all the major players have signed up to return alongside Ellis, including D.B. Netflix dropped the trailer for the first half of Season 5 of “Lucifer” on Monday, revealing that Lucifer (Tom Ellis) will be returning from hell much sooner than you probably anticipated. Oh, wait, that’s because it’s not actually Lucifer — it’s his evil twin, Michael.
In the trailer for Season 5A, which you can watch via the video above, Chloe (Lauren German) is trying desperately to move on with her life after Lucifer’s decision to return to run his fiery kingdom at the end of Season 4. She has been focusing on work and hanging with Maz (Lesley-Ann Brandt) in hopes of healing — and then Lucifer pops right back up from the depths of hell. Except, um, we soon find out that who we think is Lucifer is his twin — and a rather evil one at that — Michael.
Here’s the official description for the first half of “Lucifer” Season 5, which launches Aug.

Netflix has saved “Lucifer” once again. The streaming service has renewed the Tom Ellis-led drama for a sixth season and final season after previously announcing the show’s upcoming fifth season, which premieres this August, would be its final.
The announcement was made via a tweet from the show’s official account Tuesday morning: “the devil made us do it. #lucifer will return for a sixth and final season. like, Final final.”
Netflix resurrected “Lucifer” back in June 2018, picking the series up for a fourth season after it had been canceled by Fox. Season 4 debuted on the streaming service almost a year later, in May 2019, and one month after the launch, Netflix renewed “Lucifer” for a 16-episode fifth and final season set to debut in 2020.

Or, more specifically, the Devil himself does. In a promo released by the streaming service Friday, Lucifer (Ellis) recaps the first three seasons of the former Fox series ahead of the show’s Season 4 launch on its new platform on May 8.
“You know, Lucifer used to be God’s favorite Angel. Those were the days. Oh, where to start. Well, I’m the Devil,” Lucifer says, as he pours himself a drink before launching into his three-season recap, which you can view below.
And once you’re all caught up thanks to Ellis, here’s the description for Season 4: “Reeling from the aftermath...

So much smiling is going on in our first look at “Lucifer” Season 4, but we can’t yet tell if any of it is good.
In new photos released from the former-Fox drama’s upcoming fourth season of Netflix on Thursday, which you can view below, Lucifer (Tom Ellis) is hanging with two very different ladies: Eve (Inbar Lavi) and Chloe (Lauren German). And while Chloe appears to be smiling at Lucifer in a forgiving way that is going to tug at Team Deckstar fans’ heartstrings in the most sinful way possible, Eve’s smirky intro is equally entertaining.
Here’s the description for Season 4: “Reeling from the aftermath of Chloe seeing his devil face, Lucifer faces a new challenge: Eve, the original sinner herself, is back. Does she want revenge for when he tempted her out of Eden oh so many years ago … or something else entirely?...

Fox may have canceled Lucifer, but there are two unaired bonus episodes from season 3 that will be shown on the network later this month.
Titled "Boo Normal" and "Once Upon a Time", the two unaired episodes of Lucifer Season 3 will be shown back to back on Fox on Monday, May 28th at 8:00pm Et. Although they are new episodes from the third season, these episodes are not expected to follow the game-changing events of the third season finale, but will instead take place earlier in the season.
We have additional photos and details of the new episodes below (via SpoilerTV), and it's definitely worth noting that Neil Gaiman (the co-creator of the Vertigo comic book series version of Lucifer) will narrate "Once Upon a Time" as the voice of God.
At this time, Lucifer has not been picked up by another network, but we'll be sure to keep you...

Some good news for Lucifer fans. Fox says it will air two “bonus” episodes that were filmed earlier this spring. The episodes were scheduled to air in the fourth season, which of course, is not happening following the show’s cancellation.
The back-to-back “Boo Normal”/”Once Upon A Time” episodes will air Monday, May 28 beginning at 8 Pm, two weeks after the now-series finale.
This isn’t a first. Fox previously produced four stand-alone episodes in Season 2 that aired in the third season.
Per the network’s description for the bonus episodes: As Lucifer (Tom Ellis) and the team investigate the murder of a child psychiatrist, Ella (Aimee Garcia) thinks about a big childhood secret that she’s been hiding. Then, after Lucifer’s mom creates an alternate dimension, Lucifer now lives in a world where he not only has never met Chloe (Lauren German), but is granted the freedom of choice.

Lucifer viewers might be in for a double heartbreak. Not only has Fox canceled the devilish series after three seasons, but showrunner Joe Henderson says his team created a season finale “with a huge cliffhanger” that’s going to “frustrate the hell” out of fans.
“We created a season finale with a huge cliffhanger so that there was no way Fox could cancel us,” Henderson tweeted this afternoon after getting the news. “Instead, we’re going to frustrate the hell out of you fans. I’m so sorry for that.”
Henderson followed up the apology with a promise that the finale “is the best hour of television I’ve been lucky to write,” and reassured fans that the episode “wraps up everything from the season,” though “what it teases for season 4… well, maybe, just maybe, we can #SaveLucifer and show you.”
Minutes earlier, Henderson had confirmed the cancelation with a tweet saying,...

Much of the debate around recent religious freedom laws in the U.S. has centered on legislation ostensibly designed to protect the beliefs of conservative Christians that nonetheless directly impacts those who don’t share those beliefs. But what about instances where the law protects actions only within the ranks of the faithful, yet those actions (or inactions) are deemed abhorrent by many outside their community?
“No Greater Law” investigates one such case, in which Idaho government officials faced pressure regarding a particular congregation’s refusal to treat parishioners’ medical issues with anything more than prayer — a religious choice that’s resulted in childhood death rates 10 times the state average. Tom Dumican’s scrupulously neutral documentary examines a type of conflict likely to become more and more common in a current climate in which evangelical forces are gaining political clout and “separation of church and state” appears to be a value losing its currency.
