With the high desert sun fading behind the Wasatch Mountains of Utah, My Morning Jacket launched into “I’m Amazed” during their set at the Park City Song Summit.
“I’m amazed at what the people sayin’,” the Jacket’s Jim James sang. “I’m amazed by a divided nation.”
In a time when America finds itself at another existential crossroads, James’ lyric summed up what many at the Pcss had been thinking, both about the country and about themselves: Where to from here?
Singer-songwriter Anders Osborne had his own answer.

Bringing together the best of music from Spanish-speaking countries, the Latin field at the Grammys is always one of the most diverse and exciting. With the rapidly-growing exposure of Latin music to global audiences, this year’s nominees reflect a mix of huge names like Rosalía, Bad Bunny, and Christina Aguilera, as well as Latin legends like Rubén Blades and Fito Páez. But alas, only one will be walking away with each honor.

When he finally answered, his team was on the other line, telling him that El Alimento — the funk album he’d worked on quietly with the producer Jack Splash in 2021 — had just been nominated for a Grammy for Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album.
