Matthew O'Connor is a film and game composer based in Vancouver, Canada. Matthew has most recently scored Good Bad Things directed by Shane Stanger. Good Bad Things was awarded the Grand Jury Award and Audience award in the Unstoppable category at the 2024 Slamdance Film Festival.
Matthew was on the music team for two AAA video games in 2022 and 2023: Minecraft Legends and Disney Mirrorverse assisting composer Crispin Hands at Lionshead Entertainment. Minecraft Legends was a Music + Sound Awards Awards finalist in two categories in 2023.
Matthew was one of twenty students selected to attend the Screen Scoring Masters program at the University of Southern California. Among the exceptional faculty at USC, Matthew has had the distinct pleasure of studying with film composer Lawrence Shragge and video game composer Garry Schyman.
