Heather Braden is a director, producer, writer, a 1st generation American of Egyptian, Italian, English, Scottish, Syrian, French heritage from the Sednaoui family, a Melkite Greek Catholic family of Syrian descent. The Sednaoui family migrated to Egypt at the end of the 19th century and developed successful fashion department stores in Cairo. She is related to model/actress/director/philanthropist Elisa Sednaoui and French director and photographer Stephane Sednaoui.
Heather began as a local teen model in Portland Oregon as well began working behind the camera as a PA on Gus Van Sant sets. As a teen she took a bus across the united states to NYC to join a model agency who had scouted her at age 12 in Oregon. After a year in NYC she moved to LA attending Art Center in Pasadena in photography under Paul Jasmin, while modeling for enrolled students. A year later she relocated back to New York City signing with top agencies Next Models and Wilhelmina, working for notable brands Levis, Wrangler, Michael Kors and many others, dozens of runway shows, commercials, magazines, ads across the US, EU, and Latin America. As an actress and voice-over artist, she signed with CESD and Paradigm. Heather remained based in NYC for the next 20 years. In NYC she studied at F.I.T. in Manhattan (Fashion Institute of Technology) in photography and art history, simultaneously modeling while continuing to work in behind-the-scenes roles as a PA, producer, 1st camera, key lighting, to dozens of photographers and directors on national and international projects, then working as a commercial photographer, and producer for thousands of productions working her way up from 5th to 1st camera/assistant for renowned photographers and directors on productions for 6years on 3 continents including: Norman Jean Roy, Mark Abrahams, Rankin, Kelly Klein, Michelangelo Di Battista, Regan Cameron, Perry Ogden, Ruven Afanador, and many others before working on her own as a commercial photographer and forming her first production company leading crews to Central America for video and still productions over another 5 years in advertising for recognizable brands Avon, Pepsi products, Sports Illustrated and many others. Her expertise in pre/post-production, on-set management, locations producer, and lead producer lead her to jump from photography to commercials and finally to her passion scripted film/tv.
-In 2020 Heather her production company Dust Devil Film and relocated to St. George, Utah to produce developing thought-provoking indi film projects and TV series.
-At A Victus Films, Heather is the co founder, and serves as a the managing director and creative development behind multiple projects.
Today, Heather splits her time between St. George, Utah, Los Angeles, (and her long time former hometown of NYC) where she remains committed to pushing creative boundaries and bringing innovative, passion projects to fruition on a mission to share stories with others and continues to following her dream.
