Since she has been involved with the show for so long, however, Pompeo has been able to speak more frankly about her experiences making it.

This was incredibly evident during the actress' recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast. Pompeo was asked which Grey's Anatomy sex scene was the most uncomfortable to shoot, and she did not hesitate when it came to her answer. Pompeo deemed the sex scene between her character and George (T.R. Knight) in the season 2 was so bad she couldn't bring herself to watch it.

Grey's Anatomy has been going for almost two decades. The 21 seasons and nearly 450 episodes have introduced viewers to plenty of characters, but few have been as popular with fans as Dr. Derek Shepherd, who's been affectionately referred to as "McDreamy." Derek is a neurosurgeon who works at the same hospital as the main character, Meredith Grey, and even had a relationship and kids with her. Patrick Dempsey won over audiences' hearts as Derek Shepherd, and even received the honor of People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" in 2023 after showing so much charisma in Grey's Anatomy.

The show controversially killed Derek Shepherd in episode 21 of season 11, titled "How to Save a Life." The episode is one of the lowest-rated episodes on IMDb, with a user rating of 5.6/10 with more than 3,000 reviews, mostly annoyed with how Derek was killed in the episode. However, McDreamy's death was a necessity, especially with situations in the background of the show's production.

The lights have once more gone off at Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital before Grey’s Anatomy season 22 returns to screens in 2025, and sooner or later they’ll never turn back on. Even with the sort of soft reboot a couple of years ago that brought in a new crop of interns, it can’t be long before Grey's Anatomy gets its usual blood lust and starts getting rid of characters for ratings.

That’s perhaps a cynical read, and I don’t mean it entirely, but I’m hurt at something that happened in Grey’s Anatomy season 21’s ending. No, not the cliffhanger, or the tragic suggestion of Jo’s miscarriage, or even the fact that Meredith seemed even more absent than usual. It’s all down to another one of those character exits the show likes so much.

Per Variety, Knight has joined the cast of Stranger Things: The First Shadow, a stage play opening in 2025 that's based on the Netflix series. Knight will play Victor Creel, the father of Henry Creel (aka Vecna). The play is a prequel to the series, set decades before the events of Stranger Things Season 1. Try not to get whiplash from flipping into the Upside Down with the newly announced cast of Broadway’s Stranger Things: The First Shadow. We first learned back in August that the hit production, now running in London’s West End, will make its journey to the Great White Way in 2025, and now we have a better idea of how the cast is shaping up. Thanks to a social media post, viewers are invited to get up-close-and-personal with the new cast as they introduce themselves and reveal what parts they’ll be playing. Grey’s Anatomy’s T.R. Knight will appear in Stranger Things: The First Shadow on Broadway this spring.

Knight will play the character of Victor Creel alongside cast members Rosie Benton (Patriots) as Virginia Creel, Alex Breaux (who is set to appear in Stranger Things Season 5 on Netflix) as Dr. Brenner, Nicky Eldridge as Bob Newby, Andrew Hovelson (Lucky Guy) as Principal Newby, Alison Jaye (Shameless) as Joyce Maldonado, Gabrielle Nevaeh (Nickelodeon’s That Girl Lay Lay) as Patty Newby and Burke Swanson (Back to the Future: The Musical) as James Hopper, Jr.

They joined previously announced Louis McCartney, who will reprise his role as Henry Creel on Broadway, after originating the part in the West End. Additional casting will be announced in January.

The production begins performances at the Marquis Theatre March 28, 2025, ahead of an April 22 opening night.

Sorry, die-hard wrestling fans, but WWE Raw isn’t going back to the grunge and hard-hitting extremes of the Attitude Era.

The flagship WWE series is headed to a new home on Netflix on Monday, Jan. 6, 2025. While fans had hoped the new streaming platform would offer more leeway to push the boundaries on storylines and even profanity, WWE president Nick Khan and chief content officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque say that WWE Raw will maintain its “TV-pg” content rating.

After an extremely long hiatus, Mo finally returns in the new year, with Season 2 getting a release date from Netflix.

Mohammed Amer’s comedy series will return for its second and final season on Thursday, Jan. 30, with all eight episodes, TVLine has learned. Mo’s first season released back in August 2022, and it was later renewed for Season 2 in January 2023.

NFL great Aaron Rodgers is opening up about his life, on the field and off, in a new Netflix documentary.

The streamer has released a trailer for Aaron Rodgers: Enigma, premiering Tuesday, Dec. 17, with the New York Jets quarterback chronicling his return to football after suffering a devastating injury last season. We see Rodgers experiencing a sound bath and other spiritual remedies as the 41-year-old explains, “I’m trying to beat back Father Time, and the expectations.” He undergoes a grueling rehab to get back on the field as the sports media voices serious doubts about his ability to play again.

The big character exits fans were warned about ahead of Season 21 of Grey's Anatomy are coming to be. Shortly after the departure of Jake Borelli's Levi Schmitt, Midori Francis would depart the following week, which saw Midori Francis in her final appearance as Dr. Mika Yasuda.

In an interview with Deadline, Francis opened up about her exit from Grey's Anatomy. The character's exit episode saw Mika returning after the automobile accident that resulted in the death of her sister, and the trauma endured has left the doctor unable to properly work. Ultimately, Mika decides to leave Grey Sloan, as "everything around me reminds me of her." It was a sad way to see the character go, though Francis is very happy with the storyline from a creative standpoint.
