When I was five years-old, my mother had already told me things that
girls don't usually learn before they are twelve or thirteen. I keep an
excellent memory of her, and will never forget my visit with her to the
White House. My mother knew President Kennedy very well. They went
together into an office, while one male secretary took me for a walk in
the park. I remember that that trip impressioned my mother very much.
When we left Washington, she told me that President Kennedy was a man
extremely gentle and sweet. [cited in 1976]
