Power Rangers defined the 1990s children's television scene. Although the series initially faced pushback regarding its depiction of violence, it soon became one of the highest-rated TV shows. After the success of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the franchise grew to include action figures and films. It also became a staple of the American tokusatsu, giving the genre a more international presence outside Japan.
Many TV shows drew on the franchise's essential elements to capitalize on the growing new genre and its success. While many companies wanted to imitate the American tokusatsu classic, the most successful adaptations were those by Saban Entertainment. This company gave Power Rangers its success and gave way to new series that further experimented with the genre.

We all agree that Michael Jackson is known for his enduring dance moves and infectious dance-pop songs, but one of his most poignant ballads, She’s Out of My Life, has a special place in his discography. This heartfelt song, produced by Quincy Jones, highlights Jackson’s emotional depth and vulnerability.
Written by veteran songwriter Tom Bahler, the song was released as the fourth single from Jackson’s 1979 album Off the Wall. Though the album gave the world, many upbeat songs, it also produced a breakup song (She’s Out of My Life) that made Jackson cry every time he tried to sing it.

Jackson was moved by this real contemplation of lost love, and he gave the depressing lyrics his whole being. Now, we can all agree that a wide range of performers, including Patti Labelle, Josh Groban,...

“American Gladiators” aired in the 1990’s, but the competition still remains a phenomenon decades later. Last month, ESPN’s “30 for 30” explored the show, and now, Netflix is getting into the game.
Netflix’s five-part docuseries, “Muscles & Mayhem: An Unauthorized Story of ‘American Gladiators,” dives into the hit, chronicling the meteoric rise and sweeping impact the superhero-like athletes had on both fans across America and their “average Joe” competitors.
Co-directors Jared Hess and Tony Vainuku were fans of “American Gladiators” as teens, so it was natural to revisit the TV show when Netflix presented the opportunity. In their series, the filmmakers explore the good, the bad and the ugly, bringing audiences insight through access to executives who greenlit the production in the ’80s, original crew members and gladiators, including Nitro (Dan Clark), Storm (Debbie Clark), Diamond (Erika Andersch Bunker), Laser (Jim Kalafat), Ice (Lori Fetrick), Zap (Raye Olson), Blaze...

How Not to Live Your Life could return in the future, according to creator Dan Clark.
The comedian, who played Don Danbury in the BBC Three sitcom, has said that although he wouldn't pursue a resurrection of the show, he would be interested if a channel approached him.
Speaking to Digital Spy, Clark said of bringing the show back: "If for some reason the BBC or Channel 4, whatever, said, 'We'd love to do it', then I probably would. You should never say never.
"I was actually quite happy with the way the show ended," he added. "I felt like we gave it a good send off. I would have liked to have done more series, but I was also glad that we ended on a high because I thought it definitely ended in a good place."
Clark also said that he wanted to move away from the character of Don after the show concluded.

The creative forces behind the hit short film Yellow and documentary Visiting Uwe have joined together for a new sci-fi road movie, Fonotune - An Electric Fairytale. Directed by Fabian Huebner, who previously helmed the documentary about controversial filmmaker Uwe Boll, Visiting Uwe, Fonotune stars Japanese actress Yamashita Yuho and Watanabe Kazushi, star of Miike Takashi's classic Visitor Q. There is also an appearance from the superb Japanese punk band, Electric Eel Shock (who I've seen play live and are utterly insane).Shot on location in Japan and, among other places, the salt flats of Utah, the first teaser for the film has just been released, and frankly it looks pretty gorgeous. As well it should, the cinematography is from Jon Britt, who was responsible for the startling look...
