Britney Spears has released many songs over the years centered around weird concepts. Only one of the Princess of Pop‘s songs is about e-mailing someone. The writer of Spears’ “E-Mail My Heart” revealed what he was thinking when he wrote the infamous track and said he has some regrets about it.
The writer of Britney Spears’ worst song was hoping nobody would notice the track
Spears’ 1999 debut album, …Baby One More Time, was heavily marketed to teenagers. E-mail probably seemed cool back then, but the idea of e-mailing your heart would have sounded ridiculous. Nevertheless, songwriter Eric Foster White penned Spears a ballad called “E-Mail My Heart.” While “…Baby One More Time” encapsulates everything great about the late 1990s, “E-Mail My Heart” is a reminder of why easy listening hasn’t made a comeback. Spears’ committed vocal performance only makes the track more embarrassing.

In 2021, ESPN broadcaster Sage Steele was suspended following comments she made on a podcast, including calling parent company Disney’s vaccine mandates “sick” and questioning why Barack Obama considers himself Black when he was raised by his white mother. When she returned to her job, she felt she’d been sidelined from key on-air opportunities. So she dialed one of her closest friends, Chris Harrison, for advice. They’d gotten to know each other while co-hosting the Miss America pageant and the Scripps National Spelling Bee. He, too, had recently lost a big gig — as host of ABC’s The Bachelor, after defending a contestant accused of racism.
“Chris said, ‘I know who you need to talk to — my lawyer. He’ll be calling you momentarily,’ ” Steele remembers. “Within five minutes, Bryan Freedman was on the phone with me.” Steele left ESPN — she now has a podcast at Bill Maher...

Fans were devastated in the past when ‘Zoey 101’ got canceled. Despite the show's popularity, the reason it got canceled was because lead actress Jamie Lynn Spears got pregnant. Nickelodeon couldn’t have their show’s teen star be pregnant on camera when she was still only in high school, for the wellbeing of the audience and Jamie, thus putting the show to an end. Now that revivals are becoming more common nowadays and Jamie is no longer a pregnant teen, the cast can reunite. Things to do: Subscribe to The Hollywood Insider’s YouTube Channel, by clicking here. With “Dancing with the Stars” set to come back for a 33rd season this fall, there’s a long list of celebrities who deserve to compete on the dance floor. Three of my past suggestions did ultimately become “DWTS” contestants: Frankie Muniz (who came in third in season 25), Kel Mitchell (who came in second in season 28), and Jamie Lynn Spears (who was the second to be eliminated last season). Below is a list of female celebs I think the show should consider inviting to the ballroom to vie for the next Mirror Ball Trophy. Do you agree with my picks? Check them out below, and vote in our poll at the bottom of this post to let us know who you’d most like to see on “DWTS.” And feel free to let us know in the comments what other stars you would like to see when the show comes back in September.

Former Nickelodeon actress Lori Beth Denberg says All That writer Dan Schneider showed her pornography and tried to start phone sex with her when she starred on the kids’ comedy series. This comes two weeks after Schneider filed a lawsuit against the producers of ID‘s Quiet on the Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docuseries, which posited that Schneider’s myriad TV shows sexualized young child stars like Ariana Grande and Jamie Lynn Spears.
In an interview with Business Insider, Denberg claims Schneider repeatedly put her in uncomfortable situations where he had a clear power advantage during her four seasons on All That.

Britney Spears settled one dispute with her dad Jamie. However, another one is still developing.
The 42-year-old pop star and her 71-year-old father came to an agreement without having to go to trial to discuss who was paying for legal fees in their battle over her conservatorship.
However, on Tuesday (April 30), Jamie filed court documents seeking a summary judgement over another issue related to the conservatorship that Britney was freed from in 2021.
Keep reading to find out more…
According to court documents obtained by People, Jamie does not want to attend a trial date scheduled to take place on May 13. Instead, he is asking a judge to recognize that none of his daughter’s complaints are worthy of court.
“Jamie brings this motion because there are no triable issues of material fact and Jamie is entitled to judgment as a matter of law on Britney’s Objections,” the documents read.

In a new video, pop star Britney Spears made it crystal clear that she has no intention of reconciling with her younger sister, Jamie Lynn Spears.
On Tuesday, Spears shared a video that showed her on horseback with her assistant. In the clip, she laughed and remarked, “My sister [appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!] and they bathed her in the jungle, little s—. She said, ‘Bathe me ’cause I’m, like, stuck in the jungle, and I miss my kids—Oh, cater to me.’ Little b—-.”
Amidst playful banter, Spears expressed her belief that she would have fared better than her sister on the long-running British reality series, I’m A Celebrity. The show follows a group of celebrities forced to live together in an Australian jungle. Spears joked about peeing in the bushes and humorously imagined others cautioning her against it due to the potential for a “rash” in her private area.

Former children’s television producer Dan Schneider is suing the producers of ID’s Quiet on the Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV docuseries, calling the show a “hit job” that implied he was a sexual abuser of children.
The lawsuit, filed Wednesday in Los Angeles Superior Court and obtained by TVLine, states: “While it is indisputable that two bona fide child sexual abusers worked on Nickelodeon shows, it is likewise indisputable that Schneider had no knowledge of their abuse, was not complicit in the abuse, condemned the abuse once it was discovered and, critically, was not a child sexual abuser himself.

Embattled producer Dan Schneider is fighting back against Quiet on Set, Investigation Discovery’s explosive limited series that promised to delve into the toxic and dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic kids’ television shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, the lawsuit accuses Warner Bros, Maxine Productions, Sony Pictures and producers Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz of defamation. You can read the lawsuit here.
After the series dropped, Schneider apologized for his behavior that was depicted Quiet On Set and vowed to hold himself accountable for how he acted on his Nickelodeon shows. He taped a 19-minute interview that was posted on You Tube, in which he says “watching over the past few nights was very difficult. Me facing my past behaviors, some of which are embarrassing and I regret. I definitely owe some people a pretty strong apology.

A few years ago, filmmakers Emma Schwartz and Mary Robertson remember taking note of video compilations from old Dan Schneider series that showed children and young teens “enacting scenes that are arguably sexual in nature.”
“One example you see Ariana Grande squeezing a potato, or Ariana Grande — who was then a young teenager — pouring water on her chest and face,” Robertson recalls during a panel at Deadline’s Contenders TV: Documentary + Unscripted event. “And you see Jamie Lynn Spears receiving this squirt of a viscous liquid on her face. And there were many on social media who were asking, ‘Did I grow up watching these clips?’ “
Their shock over what they found on social media, together with a story about ’90s kids TV in Business Insider, is what prompted the creation of Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV. The Investigation Discovery docuseries set out to uncover the...

It’s rare when a documentary series makes as big a splash as that created by “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.” The five-part Investigation Discovery docuseries has been seen by an estimated audience of more than 20 million over ID and Max and generated a groundswell of chatter over its revelations about toxic children’s TV production environments – primarily at Nickelodeon in the early 2000s. The filmmakers responsible for the series that premiered on March 17 – executive producer-director Mary Robertson and co-exec producer-director Emma Schwartz – are thrilled at a reaction that they describe variously as “inspiring” and “overwhelming.”
Adds Schwartz: “I think one of the most exciting parts of that is really to see how many people are not just impacted by watching it, but want to take action or improve the environment in which these problems occur. Taking the work to a next level is something you would hope for.

This post contains details from the first four episodes of ID’s documentary series Quiet On Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV.
A little over a year and a half ago, producers Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz began to have some questions about kids television. More specifically, about the heyday of Nickelodeon.
“Emma and I had noticed…compilations of clips that were made on sets that Dan Schneider presided over, and these compilations were making their way around social media. They included clips of material that is arguably sexual in nature,” Robertson told Deadline. “If this arguably sexual content was being created on sets featuring child actors, for children to absorb, what else was possibly happening? What could this portend or signal about what was really happening behind the scenes?”
Eventually, those questions would evolve into something much more as the two women took a deep dive into what...

Former kids TV producer Dan Schneider says he has no problem censoring Nickelodeon cult classics he created in the 1990s and 2000s that now may offend viewers.
“All these jokes that you’re speaking of that [Quiet on Set] covered over the past two nights, every one of those jokes was written for a kid audience, because kids thought they were funny, and only funny,” Schneider said of lines he wrote for Nickelodeon shows like The Amanda Show, Victorious and Zoey 101, and which are now being criticized by offended fans on YouTube and social media platforms for having allegedly sexualized young actors.
His comments came as part of a March 19 apology video he released following the two-night docuseries, Investigation Discovery’s Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV, which probed toxic environment claims on sets run by Schneider. McKenna Grace reprises her lead role as Phoebe in “Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire,” which led the weekend box office with $45 million. ‘Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV’ Recirculated the Exploitative Material It Was Meant to Stop
Accused of fostering a dangerous and sexualizing workplace for kid actors when he was a lead creative at Nickelodeon, Dan Schneider is finally calling for cuts. It’s too bad the disturbing material the ex-showrunner claims he suddenly wants removed from old episodes of “The Amanda Show,” “All That,” and more problematic kids’ programs just re-aired over two nights at primetime on Investigation Discovery.

In the past two months, accusations of the former Nickelodeon producer, Dan Schneider, were made in a bombshell docu-series Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV when the trailer was released, then in the show’s premiere. Nothing in Investigation Discovery’s docuseries Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV is likely to hold viewer attention so lastingly as Drake Bell coming forward to recall being sexually assaulted during his time as a Nickelodeon child star.
Mary Robertson, who directed the ID four-parter with Emma Schwartz, recalled their set being all hush and stillness when Bell, for the first time, shared his story of abuse at the hands of a child predator. “Normally you hear people fidgeting. You couldn’t hear anyone fidget. We all sat, silent, rapt in reverence for his bravery and listened,” Robertson said.

Investigation Discovery has unveiled the trailer for “Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV,” a four-part docuseries revealing the toxic work conditions behind children’s shows in the 1990s and early 2000s — specifically those from Dan Schneider, the creator of beloved Nickelodeon shows such as “iCarly” and “Zoey 101.” The series will premiere across two nights on ID from 9-11 p.m. Et/Pt on March 17-18.
Per a press release, “Quiet on Set” sheds light on an allegedly “insidious environment rife with allegations of abuse, sexism, racism and inappropriate dynamics with its underage stars and crew,” featuring cast members, writers and crew from Schneider’s popular Nickelodeon shows. These include former “All That” cast members Giovonnie Samuels, Kyle Sullivan, Bryan Hearne and Katrina Johnson and director Virgil Fabian, as well as “The Amanda Show” writers Jenny Kilgen and Christy Stratton. Alexa Nikolas will also share her experience working on “Zoey 101.

The allegedly toxic environment behind Dan Schneider’s Nickelodeon empire is now being uncovered in a four-part docuseries.
Amid allegations of abuse, Schneider’s legacy as the showrunner of hit series like “All That,” “iCarly,” and “Zoey 101” is being reframed. The ID documentary “Quiet on Set” exposes the dangerous culture behind some of the most iconic children’s shows of the late 1990s and early 2000s.
Directed by Mary Robertson and Emma Schwartz, “Quiet on Set” seeks to pull back the curtain on a controversial empire, built by creator Dan Schneider, that certainly had an undeniable grip on popular culture.
Per the official synopsis: “Series such as ‘All That’ and ‘The Amanda Show,’ among others, were obsessively consumed by children across the country and defined comedy for a generation. But behind the upbeat onscreen presence on these shows with questionable jokes and over-the-top sketches, ‘Quiet on Set’ reveals an...

ITV’s annual reality TV juggernaut I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Is having a chequered 23rd season.
Before celebrity campmates even arrived in Australia to experience jungle life, there was criticism over ITV’s decision to pay controversial politician Nigel Farage a reported £1.5million ($1.9m) to participate.
Once everyone was in camp, it was clear Farage intended to use the primetime platform to push his personal agenda. “Never say never,” was his response to questions about his future political plans.
Meanwhile, two miserable contestants left the camp this week “on medical grounds” – Jamie Lynn Spears, sister of Britney, departed having spent much of her time on the show in tears and missing her children, and she was preceded by British food writer Grace Dent.
Now The Sun newspaper reports that ITV has had to issue an apology after the official social media account for the show...

The inclusion of right-wing firebrand politician Nigel Farage and Jamie Lynn Spears in this year’s I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! failed to spark gangbuster ratings for last night’s launch episode, although you wouldn’t think so reading Gb News producer Ben Leo’s X timeline.

The figure is in fact 7 million and 7.8 million respectively – I’m a Celeb’s lowest for several years. It’s almost certainly going to be the only time in history the actor sister of a music megastar and a controversial former British politician spend time together in a jungle.
Jamie Lynn Spears, sister of Britney and an actress in Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101 and Sweet Magnolias, is one of 10 celebrity contestants cast in ITV’s latest season of I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here!.
She’ll appear opposite Nigel Farage, one of the key players behind the UK’s exit from the European Union in 2016. He remains a hugely divisive character in the UK.
“There is literally every misconception you can have on a person about me so I don’t take any of it seriously,” said Spears. “But I do think going on I’m A Celebrity will be a nice way for people to see the real me. This is an opportunity to be...

Jamie Lynn Spears is one of the 10 contestants who will compete on the U.K. reality series “I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here,” ITV announced on Monday.
The series strands its contestants in the Australian jungle for three weeks without any modern conveniences.
Spears, who was the second celeb eliminated from Season 32 of ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” said in the press release, “This is going to be terrifying.” She added, “I am absolutely frightened of everything” she might encounter in the jungle, including snakes and spiders.
The “Zoey 101″ star explained she lined up back-to-back reality shows because of the recently resolved actors’ strike. “I think it is so far out of my comfort zone and this year with SAG being on strike, I have said ‘yes’ to a lot of unscripted projects. I am really enjoying throwing myself into these experiences,” she said.
