Jason Armani Martinez

Originally from Lawrence Massachusetts, Jason Armani Martinez is a first generation Dominican-American actor who is bi-coastal. In his junior year, Jason pivoted from playing football at The University of New Hampshire to begin acting. Shortly after graduating, Jason joined a community theatre where he grew as an artist and developed his craft, simultaneously booking his first role in Netflix's 'Spenser Confidential' starring Mark Wahlberg. Since then, Jason completed Lena Waithe's Hillman Grad Mentorship Lab, being 1 of 8 actors selected out of over 1500 audition tapes and has been coached by Anthony Abeson the last few years. Earlier this year, Jason had a role in Cord Jefferson's Academy award winning film American Fiction, and co-led two short films, Grown by Alfonso Morgan Terrero, and Netflix produced Granada by Gianfranco Fernandez Ruiz which have screened at multiple film festivals. Jason also has a supporting lead role in the newly released film Aftermath starring Dylan Sprouse, Megan Stott and Mason Gooding, playing in select theaters and available on VOD. Jason just wrapped filming and co-leading an upcoming short film produced by Aristotle Torres, written and directed by Alfonso Morgan Terrero.
