Sung Jinwoo gained the Shadow Extraction ability at the end of Solo Leveling's first season, and if given the opportunity, Jinwoo could use it to turn some of anime's strongest characters into Shadows. These Shadows fight on Jinwoo's behalf, but he can only turn other living beings into Shadows by killing them first. That said, there are limitations, so it would be best for Jinwoo to target powerful human characters.

These characters may be human, but most possess superhuman abilities that they should still keep, even after becoming Shadows. These characters can help Jinwoo fight the Monarchs, Dungeon monsters and other Hunters. Some of these characters are strong enough to take on S-Rank opponents and Monarchs on their own. Jinwoo's Shadows can regenerate, so as long as he has mana, he can keep summoning them.

Isekai's rise to dominance has been the most noticeable anime trend of the last decade. Not an anime season goes past without a new isekai series launching, be it a new original show or a sequel to an existing one. The same is true for isekai anime movies, as they have become increasingly common since the early 2000s, with several new isekai movies arriving at the box office every year.

The downside of this isekai ubiquity is that many good movies get overshadowed by projects with bigger marketing budgets, leading to them getting lost in the shuffle. The World Government is a major antagonistic group in One Piece that has existed for over 800 years, and Imu is its supreme ruler. The San Francisco Giants and one of the world's most popular anime series of all time, Naruto Shippuden, have revealed a debut collaboration for Anime Day later this month.

Via Viz Media's official X (formerly Twitter), Naruto is partnering up with the San Francisco Giants for a special Anime Day starring the popular anime series. It takes place on Sunday, Sep. 28, 2024, at Oracle Park, where attendees can receive a special Naruto Shippuden jersey. The jersey features Naruto's trademark orange color, an image of the character running and the number "7" on the back, likely in reference to Naruto's Team 7. Readers can check out the image of the jersey in the official announcement artwork below.

Naruto Uzumaki takes his final battle with Sasuke to the streets in the first-ever Naruto-themed BMX bike. In a newly announced collaboration with Throne Cycles, this is not only the world's first official Naruto bike but also the first for anime as a whole.

From Throne Cycles' collaboration with Naruto Shippuden and Viz Media comes "The Goon - The Final Battle." The 29-inch BMX bike is described as "the ultimate ride celebrating the legendary showdown between Naruto and Sasuke!" The bikes drive side is in Narutos signature orange and yellow colors and features various iconic Naruto symbols. These include the Uzumaki clan symbol, the nine-tail fox seal and even Narutos own side profile. The bikes non-drive side is in Sasuke Uchihas signature color of violet, branded with Sasukes side profile and his Amaterasu flame. The seat features Naruto and Sasuke locked in a pre-battle staredown.

Shonen anime continue to be the biggest properties in the medium, be they old-school classics such as Dragon Ball Z or newer hits such as Demon Slayer. In recent years, anime remakes have become an increasingly common thing. The next major series to be remade is the upcoming The One Piece by Netflix, but there are other works that are just as deserving of a new animated iteration.

In some cases, these anime should be remade in order to streamline their stories in the best, most modern ways possible. On the other hand, there are some shonen anime from the past few decades that never adapted the entirety of the manga they were based on. Thus, they're great candidates for new incarnations that anime fans young and old can enjoy.

Via Laughing Place, Hulu Animayhem is again taking place this year, with popular anime series like Oshi no Ko and The Eminence in Shadow joined by the popular Naruto Shippuden in receiving more episodes. As Naruto Shippuden nears completion on Hulu, Episode 450, titled "Rival" to Episode 461, "Hagoromo and Hamura," are set to join the platform in English dubbed form on Aug. 1, 2024.

The Fourth Great Ninja War was the biggest known event in the entire Naruto franchise, and it saw all the shinobi go up against the forces of the Akatsuki and Kabuto Yakushi to save the world. The mega-hit shonen anime One Piece features a dazzling variety of powerful fighters, many of whom have the power of Devil Fruits, Haki, or formidable weapons on their side, from protagonist Monkey D. Luffy to Dracule Mihawk to the Warlords and Emperors. One of the series' strongest fighters is definitely Marshall D. Teech, also known as Captain Blackbeard. For plot reasons, One Piece fans can rest assured that Luffy will eventually defeat Captain Blackbeard, but until then, Blackbeard reigns as one of the series' strongest fighters with his physical combat skills and his dual Devil Fruits, the Dark-Dark Fruit and the Tremor-Tremor Fruit. Flanagan sat down for an exclusive interview with Cbr, where she was asked about the upcoming live-action film, which was first announced by Lionsgate in 2015. "I have heard rumors for years about a movie," she said. "I have gotten whispered phone calls from Hollywood offices, saying you're not allowed to say anything. But it never happens. I think certainly, it makes it a little more worth it. I think that they might be able to envision actually producing a movie more because of that. I haven't seen it, so I don't know what it is. I hear it's good."

It's not unusual for the movies to come out of manga and anime series to feel a little off. The stories are often non-canon or otherwise abridged adaptations of ongoing story arcs, and the best thing you can hope for as a viewer is that a given movie captures some hint of what you enjoy about the series. While the movies may not hit the heights of the series, they can still deliver excellent character moments and action.

Whether or not the "Naruto" films deliver on that is up for debate.
