This week is once again loaded up with fresh new horrors, most of them available at home. The lone theatrical release, however, is one you don’t want to miss with a crowd this weekend.

Most recently adapted by Leigh Whannell for Universal’s 2020 movie The Invisible Man, the classic H.G. Wells story gets a new adaptation with Fear the Invisible Man.

Fear the Invisible Man was released on VOD outlets today, June 13.

It’s not an official Universal Studios horror movie, mind you, but Wells’ The Invisible Man is a classic tale that’s in the public domain, allowing for indie productions such as this one.

In the film from Hanover Pictures, “A young British widow shelters an old medical school colleague, a man who has somehow turned himself invisible.

I am always very much excited when the film-making duo Dominic Brunt and Joanne Mitchell have a new film coming out. They have proved themselves again and again when it comes to horror and the variety of ways they can creep audiences out. From the often subtle but great zombie movie Before Dawn, to the at times brutal revenge thriller Bait to the bizarre but brilliant Attack of the Killer Babies. Next up, they tackle the werewolf subgenre with Scream of the Wolf.

You can’t make a good werewolf movie without a good werewolf, and the upcoming indie feature Scream of the Wolf looks to feature a pretty damn cool one. The monster was created by special make-up effects artist Shaune Harrison (“Game of Thrones”), Rue Morgue informs us this week, and you can unleash the beast by watching the trailer below.

Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive look at the trailer and art for Wolf Manor, described as a “full-throttle, gore-filled tale” of a film crew caught in the claws of a manor house’s resident werewolf.

Directed by Dominic Brunt, the film was shot in three weeks in locations in Shropshire.

Seemingly coming out of nowhere, the werewolf horror-thriller Wolf Manor, from actor and director Dominic Brunt has entered post-production. Directed by Brunt, the full-throttle, gore-filled film is the tale of a film crew caught in the claws of a manor house’s resident werewolf, was shot in three weeks in locations in Shropshire.

Shooting a vampire flick in an old, abandoned manor house should have worked like a dream, but the film crew are out of their depth, over schedule and desperate to get the shoot finished and go home. However, as the moon turns full, the nightmare begins. Blood flows and the body count rises as cast & crew meet the manor’s resident werewolf…

Brunt’s UK-produced film, which was written by Pete Wild and Joel Ferrari, stars James Fleet, Jay Taylor, Thaila Zucchi, Rupert Procter and John Henshaw. Wolf Manor’s creature design was created by renowned special make-up effects artist Shaune Harrison.

Us comedian Rob Riggle has joined BBC Three's new dating show World Series Of Dating. The eight-part series, which mixes reality television and scripted comedy and borrows conventions from the world of sport, focuses on women meeting men for first dates. Once the women have met the men they can choose to buzz them out of the game, before discussing with a referee whether the man should get a warning or be replaced by another contestant. Riggle has signed up to play American commentator and "legendary dater" Doyle MacManus, while his British counterpart James Chetwynd-Talbot - who is described as nervous and unlucky in love - will be played by Torchwood's Tom Price. Bentley Kalu will star in the show as the referee, while Balls of Steel's Thaila Zucchi will appear as a touchline reporter (more)...

After the early departure of Caoimhe Guilfoyle and Keeley Johnson from the Big Brother house, show bosses have decided to introduce More new housemates tomorrow night.

The move comes just two weeks after Andrew, Rachel and Keeley joined the group.

Six potential new housemates will be packed and ready to enter the Big Brother House tomorrow night in front of the live audience. However only Three of them will actually go in.

Also on tomorrow’s show: Davina will be chatting with walkee Caoimhe about the life and times in the Big Brother house and probes her on what she really thinks of this year’s housemates. Plus we can look forward to a very special musical performance from the gleeful housemates. Sounds like an action packed show!
