Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan and Luke Combs will serve as headliners at the second annual Country Calling Festival, returning to Ocean City, Maryland in October.

Brooks & Dunn, Wynonna Judd, Leann Rimes, Jon Pardi, Tyler Hubbard, Margo Price, and Ryan Bingham & The Texas Gentlemen are also among the three dozen country artists on the lineup for the fest, which takes place on three stages over the course of three days (Oct. 3-5) on the Ocean City Boardwalk.

Country pop star Tyler Childers is out on his 2025 headlining tour Tyler Childers: On the Road.

The tour will make stops in various cities across the U.S., including New York, Boston and Los Angeles, before it concludes the American leg of the show on October 11 in Nashville.

Childers will be accompanied by an extensive list of supporting guest artists, including Wynonna Judd, Charley Crockett, Robert Earl Keen, The Hold Steady, Deer Tick, Hayes Carl, Medium Build, Cory Branan, Soma and S.G. Goodman.

Childers’ album Rustin’ in the Rain debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 last year, and his single “In Your Love” was nominated for the Grammys for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.

In 2020, Childers co-established the Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund (Hharf), which strives to bring awareness and financial support to the Appalachian region.

Jenna Bush Hager continues to feature guest co-hosts on Jenna & Friends, but fans think she found one that should be full-time.

Her show, formerly Today with Hoda & Jenna, began bringing in celebrities to co-host after Hoda Kotb exited NBC’s Today.

Since then, some of Jenna’s celebrity co-hosts have included Scarlett Johansson, Ego Nwodim, Justin Sylvester, Wynonna Judd, and Heidi Gardner.

While they have only been there temporarily, most have received open invitations to return.

Several of Jenna’s co-hosts also received praise from viewers, including her most recent guest co-host: basketball superstar Dwyane Wade.

Five-time Grammy winner Wynonna Judd will embark on her first-ever “The Greatest Hits Tour” beginning on June 13, 2025 in Lagrange, Georgia. The summer tour will stop in Virginia Beach, Calgary, and Boise, before wrapping up on September 5th in Albuquerque.

Judd will perform hits from her days as part of The Judds as well as from her solo career. Fans can expect to hear “No One Else on Earth,” “Tell Me Why,” and Mama He’s Crazy,” with tickets going on sale March 11, 2025 for fan club members.

Typically, the MusiCares dinner is a polite affair, with guests seated respectfully for most of the performances, save the all-star finale, a staple of the event. And that’s not to say that previous Person of the Year recipients — which include Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Bruce Springsteen, Paul McCartney and Barbra Streisand — didn’t have their own rabid fanbases in attendance. But the Deadheads just do things differently.

The People’s Choice Country Awards are coming in hot with Miranda Lambert, Keith Urban and Kane Brown set to perform. The 2024 event, which will be hosted by Shania Twain, will air live on Sept. 26 at 8 p.m. Et and will be available to watch on NBC and Peacock. It will be filmed from the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tenn.

Additionally, the red carpet for the event, “Live From E!: People’s Choice Country Awards,” will begin on 6 p.m. Et on Sept. 26.

Lambert, Urban and Brown will join Kelsea Ballerini, Lady A, Parker McCollum and The War And Treaty as performers for the upcoming event. Presenters this year include country stars Carly Pearce, Dan + Shay and Little Big Town as well as comedian Nate Bargatze. Additional performers and presenters will be announced at a later time.

As well as performing, Lambert will be honored with the Country Icon Award.

In April 2022, Naomi Judd took her own life and that wrecked Ashley and Wynonna Judd. Though they knew she had her own issues for a very long time, they never thought it would come to this. Together, the sisters worked through the grief. At the same time, Wynonna had a big decision to make. She and Naomi were set to hit the road as The Judds, something that had not done in years.

Karina Smirnoff and others from the Dancing with the Stars family are reacting to the loss of former contestant Jacoby Jones.

Smirnoff, a professional dancer on DWTS for 18 seasons, has teamed with numerous celebrities, including reality TV star Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, singer Aaron Carter, and actor Ralph Macchio.

Jones, a former NFL star and Super Bowl winner was Smirnoff’s partner for Season 16 of the show.

In an Instagram post on July 16, she paid tribute to Jones, indicating she was “heartbroken and shocked” upon news of his death.

Smirnoff shared a carousel post of images from their time together on and off the dancefloor.

“The world lost one of its finest. Coby was one of the funniest, coolest, kindest people I’ve met. He was always in a great mood. Loved his momma and family, football and dancing. Big Moe, I’ll miss u soooo much! I’ll miss ur jokes!

Shania Twain has been set to host the 2024 People’s Choice Country Awards live from Nashville on September 26 on NBC and Peacock.

The second annual celebration will take place at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville for a second year in a row.

“Country has some of the most passionate fans in music and us artists are so lucky to be supported in doing what we love,” Twain said in a statement. “I am honored to host an award show that celebrates these awesome fans. Get ready for an unforgettable show with lots of big hair, glamour, rhinestones, hats, boots and incredible performances. Giddy Up!”

The inaugural show last year was hosted by Little Big Town. Jen Neal, EVP of Live Events and Specials at NBCU Entertainment, said Twain “is the perfect person to help us celebrate the country’s finest” as she “is a beloved member of the country community.

Dave Loggins, the Grammy nominated Hall of Fame singer/songwriter best known for his 1974 hit, “Please Come To Boston,” died on July 10th at Alive Hospice in Nashville, Tennessee. He was 76 years old and no cause was given.

The song that made his career spent two weeks at number five on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in August 1974, and one week atop the Billboard Easy Listening chart. It was nominated for a Grammy Award in the category of Best Male Pop Vocal performance. It was released in April 1974 as the first single from his album Apprentice (In a Musical Workshop) and was produced by Jerry Crutchfield.

The three verses of the song contain a plea from the narrator to a woman whom he hopes will join him in Boston, Denver, and Los Angeles. Each verse reaches a sad conclusion: “She said, ‘No – boy would you come home to me.'”
