- Producer
- Director
- Writer
Enock Dorestan is an artist designer, indie filmmaker and screenwriter of Haitian descent. Though he attended law school, his passion led him away from legal practice and towards design and visual arts.
In 2011, Enock sated his artistic appetite while staying in Mexico. It is here where he was introduced to filmmaking. He wasted no time in gaining hands - on industry experience by working as an extra in various Mexican productions, and as a talent model in several commercials aired in Mexico. After he moved to the U.S., he attended design school. After graduating, he combined what he learned there with his filmmaking experiences to direct and screen write his first short film, Spilled Paint.
Enock is keen on creative expression and the human behaviors which affect it. His interests in creativity spur him to help others express themselves through their work. He is intrigued in particular by two human conditions: poverty and hope. He can relate to the sense of helplessness and despair caused by the former, as well as to the feelings of confidence in a better future created by the latter.
