Jujutsu Kaisen'sdirector, Sunghoo Park, is releasing a brand-new anime series soon, entitled Bullet/Bullet, and it will be exclusively streaming on Disney+. The studio producing the anime is E&h production, which was created by Sunghoo Park himself.

A sneak peek trailer and a poster that offer a thrilling glimpse at the action-packed series to come were posted on X on the official @BULLETBULLET_PR account. Furthermore, it was announced that the first few episodes of the series are set to premiere on July 16, 2025.

We’ve known for some time that the Japan-based Korean animator Sunghoo Park is working on an original anime project titled Bullet/Bullet, which seems to be a promising blend of sci-fi and adventure.

And while information related to the project has been scarce, we have received a new trailer that confirms the cast members for the upcoming anime, as well as the July 16, 2025 premiere date on Disney+.

It certainly does look promising, doesn’t it? The animation is great, the character design as well, and it looks like a very interesting blend of several genres, which is absolutely good for an original anime.

The highly anticipated anime movie Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League has just released its full preview. This new superhero film, directed by Junpei Mizusaki and Shinji Takagi, is a sequel to Batman Ninja (2018). It is produced by Warner Bros. and animated by Kamikaze Douga and YamatoWorks.

The story picks up just one day after Batman returns from the past. However, things are not the same. Japan has disappeared, and the Justice League is missing. Before Batman and his allies can figure out what happened, yakuza criminals start falling from the sky. The Bat-family must fight to protect Gotham from this dangerous new threat.

Hunter x Hunter's new fighting game, Nen x Impact has been banned in Australia due to suggestions of sexual violence against minors according to a recent report. Though Hunter x Hunter is a believed series among anime fans, one of the series' main antagonists, Hisoka, remains a controversial aspect. It seems that controversy has now boiled over, with Hisoka's disquieting antics meaning that Bushiroad and Eighting's Hunter x Hunter: Nen x Impact won't receive classification in Australia, effectively banning the game.

In a report by Automaton Media, the Australian Classification board specifically said that it wouldn't classify the new game with its rating system due to "sexual violence against characters under the age of 18 by an adult male character." While the board doesn't clarify, anyone familiar with the series will know that the likely culprit is Hisoka. While this is obviously disappointing for Australian fans of Hunter x Hunter...

Attack on Titan: The Last Attack has already been released in Japan, and now, the highly-anticipated anime movie is finally coming to the U.S on streaming and in theaters. Crunchyroll just announced that in early 2025, select theaters in North America and Brazil will be screening the omnibus film that contains the final two episodes of the series based on Hajime Isayama's hit manga, Attack on Titan.

Attack on Titan's anime drew to a close in fall 2023, with two specials that were 60 minutes and 85 minutes each. These extended episodes chronicled the dramatic conclusion of the story revolving around man-eating Titans and humanity's fight to free themselves from the creatures' tyranny. Gege Akutami, creator of Jujutsu Kaisen, revealed that the character Toji Fushiguro was inspired by actor Jason Statham and Emiya Kiritsugu from Fate/Zero.

Akutami discussed the influences behind Fushiguro’s character in a Q&a, which was part of a catalog handed out during the recent Jujutsu Kaisen exhibition which was held at Shibuya in July 2024.

While considering Fushiguro’s character, Akutami initially envisioned him as similar to Kenny from Attack on Titan. However, the character’s appearance shifted after being influenced by the aura of voice actor Kazuhiro Yamaji.

Yamaji is a Japanese actor & voice actor who has dubbed the voice of Jason Statham in Japanese. This influence made Akutami resemble Fushiguro close to Jason Statham, known for his roles as a tough and professional figure.

Disney+ Star Japan has announced that it will stream Sand Land: The Series -- a new series adapted from a manga by Akira Toriyama of Dragon Ball fame -- that picks up from the events of the anime film, which debuted in Japan on Aug. 18.

Sand Land: The Series will stream under Disney+ Star's "Star Anime Series" starting in Spring 2024, with the official Sand Land website confirming that the title will be a new and continuing story following the events of the anime film adaptation. The series will deliver some fan service by featuring clips cut from the anime film as well as select scenes directly adapted from the manga. The announcement also came with a key visual, seen below, depicting Beelzebub, Thief and Rao riding a dune buggy.

Netflix has revealed additional cast members for its highly-anticipated Pluto anime.

Based on the manga by Naoki Urasawa and Takashi Nagasaki, Pluto revisits the futuristic world of Osamu Tezuka's Astro Boy series, focusing on the darker elements of a universe where robots live only to serve humans. Sand Land creator Akira Toriyama recently expressed his gratitude to the fans who went to see the movie in theaters.

Among Toriyama's prolific body of work, Sand Land is relatively more obscure compared to titans such as Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. The film began its theatrical run in Japan on Aug. 18. As detailed on Anime News Network, Toriyama's thank-you message to Sand Land's viewers appeared during Toho's 15-minute preview of the film, which premiered on the company's official YouTube channel on Sept. 1. Tomozaku Sugita, who portrays Toriyama's favorite character, Swimmer's Papa, read the artist's message at the start of the video.

Toyotarou, the main artist for Dragon Ball Super, released a new sketch of Beelzebub and Satan from Akira Toriyama's Sand Land.

Toyotarou showcased the image on his personal X (or Twitter) page, explaining that he drew it in commemoration of the film's release. Having seen the movie, the artist playfully compares it to Pixar's popular Monsters Inc. and Toy Story franchises, as well as its popular predecessor, Dragon Ball. "Quite frankly, it was super fun...so if you like Dragon Ball, you have no choice not to watch it!" Toyotarou wrote in his post.

The North American premiere window for the movie adaptation of Akira Toriyama's Sand Land has been revealed.

According to Anime News Network, the film will officially arrive in North America sometime in 2024; however, Sand Land will be screened at Montreal's upcoming 26th Fantasia International Film Festival. The movie will debut in Japan on August 18, receiving IMAX, 4Dx, and MX4D releases; at the time of writing, it is unknown what type of release Sand Land will get in North American markets.

Sand Land, the beloved and acclaimed manga by Dragon Ball mangaka Akira Toriyama, will release a video game adaptation.

Announced during Summer Game Fest, Sand Land has landed itself a video game adaptation and unveiled an official trailer. Developed in Unreal Engine 5 by Bandai Namco, the video game invites players to dive into "a mysterious desert world where humans and demons live together." Players will control the main character Beelzebub as he roams around the vast desert landscape in various vehicles, including tanks, to fight against human and demonic opponents. Sand Land will be available to play on PS5/PS4, Xbox Series X/S and PC.

One needs a father and the other an apprentice. One to learn strength and love while the other discovers humility and patience’s immense value.

It’s all pretty familiar—at the beginning. The film’s first half can get tedious as a result.
