- Born in New York City, Rob Wiser is a graduate of NYU film school. While a student, he began his professional screenwriting career. He then linked up with producer George Jackson (New Jack City, Sugar Hill, the House Party films) to create "Bulletproof Diva," one of the most popular and artistically stunning animated shows on the Internet. The dark tale of a female assassin battling demons in a post-apocalyptic future, Bulletproof Diva was profiled on a VH-1 special and was the first internet series to be seen in multiplexes across the country, when its 35mm trailer ran before "The X Men."
At 24, he became a produced screenwriter with "Snipes." The suspensful urban thriller starred hip-hop sensation Nelly along with Dean Winters (HBO's Oz), Sam Jones III (the TV show Smallville), Zoe Saldana (Centerstage, Crossroads), and Frank Vincent (Raging Bull, Goodfellas, Casino). The film was an official selection of the 2001 Toronto film festival and was released theatrically the following year to favorable reviews. It is now available on home video everywhere.
Wiser is currently working on other screenplays as well as a novel, in addition to writing for magazines. He divides his time between Los Angeles and his home in Las Vegas.- IMDb Mini Biography By: [email protected]
