Despite the show being called Gilmore Girls and its main focus being Lorelai (Lauren Graham) and Rory (Alexis Bledel), most fans will agree that the show wouldn’t have half as much charm without the colorful characters that inhabit Stars Hollow. From Miss Patty (Liz Torres), to Babette (Sally Struthers), and even Taylor (Michael Winters), each townie plays a pivotal role in making Stars Hollow the quirky, lovable town we love so much. But one of the most popular townsfolk, who has become so synonymous with the show, interestingly started out as a completely different character.

While Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) is a fan-favorite character on Gilmore Girls, he wasn't in the original pilot script for the series, and another character was in his place. Luke is an important Stars Hollow resident who runs a diner in the building that used to be his father's hardware store and who begins dating Lorelai (Lauren Graham) in season 4. Luke is known for his gruff personality, for being begrudgingly kind to Kirk Gleason (Sean Gunn) and arguing with Taylor Doose (Michael Winters) over town rules and regulations, and he has created a cozy meeting spot for the community.

Happy Thanksgiving, “Gilmore Girls” fans! Whether you’re having tofurkey or getting yours deep fried, there’s no denying that in addition to the holidays, it’s also time to celebrate Stars Hollow season.

Et recently spoke with “Gilmore” star Michael Winters, who played everyone’s favourite town selectman, Taylor Doose, on the beloved series, and he dished on the possibility of future episodes of the hit mother-daughter drama.

The series ran for seven seasons from 2000 to 2007 and Netflix gave hungry fans four movie-style reboot episodes in 2016 with “A Year in the Life”.

And while Winters told Et that he hasn’t specifically spoken with creators Amy Sherman-Palladino or Dan Palladino about the possibility of more “Gilmore”, he did have a very interesting conversation with another big player of the franchise — Lauren Graham! The 55-year-old actress, who played everyone’s favorite mom, Lorelai Gilmore, had some interesting insight into the series’ future.

“Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life” is set to make its broadcast debut on The CW.

The broadcaster will air the four-episode followup to the classic dramedy over four nights beginning Nov. 23 and concluding on Nov. 26. The episodes will air on each of the four nights at 8 p.m. Et/Pt. The show will also stream for free on the ad-supported CW app and cwtv.com for 30 days following its premiere. “A Year in the Life” originally aired on Netflix in 2016.

The news comes as fans are celebrating the 20th anniversary of the original series, which began its run on The CW’s predecessor, The WB, in 2000. The show ran for seven seasons, concluding its run on The CW in 2007.

It takes a very long time for the protagonist of “Ecco” — or its viewers, for that matter — to figure out just who (or what) he is. This espionage/fugitive tale in the “Bourne” mode, albeit with less emphasis on physical action, also “echoes” films like “Memento” and “The Prestige” in its convoluted, puzzle-like narrative. But there’s more repetition and ponderousness than compelling intrigue in the end result here. The biggest mystery about this polished but underwhelming thriller is how in this day and age a starless feature from filmmakers without a track record managed to open on 200-odd U.S. screens. That’s a major leap of faith unlikely to be rewarded by much box-office traffic.

Returning to Stars Hollow is many “Gilmore Girls” fans’ dream, but Scott Patterson didn’t find it that simple.

The baseball player-turned-actor had played curmudgeonly diner owner Luke Danes for seven seasons in the original series, but couldn’t quite get back into character the first day he went to set for the Netflix revival, “Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life.”

“I thought it would be easy, but the reality set in right away. My first scene was in the diner, and I did not feel comfortable,” he told a small group of reporters in late July. “I didn’t feel like I had him yet. We did a quick rehearsal, got the blocking down, and something was off. So I said to [creator Amy Sherman-Palladino], ‘I need to take a little walk around Stars Hollow. Excitement for Netflix's upcoming "Gilmore Girls" revival has only continued to build since the streaming service officially announced it would produce four new 90-minute episodes. Last week, we got our first glimpse at the continued adventures of the residents of Stars Hollow, and now, Netflix has released an additional three images to whet fans' appetites.

The new photos feature the titular women -- Rory (Alexis Bledel), Lorelai (Lauren Graham), and Emily (Kelly Bishop) -- both in intimate one-on-one settings, as well as in one of our favorite recurring storylines: wacky town meetings. The image that features that latter event includes Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (who are still together -- yay!) looking aghast, probably at some boneheaded statement Taylor (Michael Winters) has made. Babette (Sally Struthers) appears similarly annoyed.
