Alain Delon, the legendary French actor, was a central figure in the French golden age of cinema during the 1960s and 70s. Known for his suave, tough-guy persona and striking good looks, Leon appeared in more than 100 movies in his five-decade career. What made Delon so memorable was the unpredictable nature of his performances. From the ruthless assassin he played in Le Samouraï, to the charismatic criminal in Borsalino, Delon especially shone when he showed his seductive side in L'Eclisse and La Piscine. Hiss filmography even includes iconic literary characters, such as Zorro and Tom Ripley.
Delon passed away on August 18th, 2024, at the age of 88. Since then, film scholars, journalists, and fans have reflected on his remarkable body of work and the legacy his powerful performances have left in cinema history. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest actors of his generation and the rare international star to achieve global acclaim.

It creeps and leaps and slides and glides along the wall… and then it eats your face, dude. Mario Bava and Riccardo Freda’s ultimate monster mastication epic now looks sensationally gory, thanks to a full restoration. Arrow’s disc has pretty much everything, including two transfers and two audio commentaries. And Savant has a guilty admission to make — it was the tripe, the whole tripe, and nothing but the tripe.

How do you feel about unleashing your inner superhero using motion controls? That's apparently the aim that Ubisoft had when developing Marvel Avengers: Battle For Earth, the action game based on the Marvel Comics event Secret Invasion. Leroux and Vargas talk about how Ubisoft has been developing the Kinect controls to make players feel like one of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes as well as the look and story of the upcoming release.
Marvel Avengers: Battle For Earth will be available on the Kinect on October 30th and during the launch window for the Wii U.

Dancing, superheroes, and assassination mark Ubi's big San Diego lineup this week.
If Connor's not a playable character in Just Dance 4... look, it's a missed opportunity, is what I'm saying here.
Body movin' killers aside, if you want to check out the newest Assassin's Creed, it'll be on the San Diego Comic-Con show floor at Ubisoft's booth (#5345). Likewise, you can head over to the Marvel booth (#2329) to check out Ubisoft's Diablo-like Marvel Avengers Battle For Earth. Sony (booth #4237) and Lionsgate (booth #4035) both will be demoing the upcoming Expendables 2 downloadable title, or you can shake your moneymaker with Ubisoft's money maker Just Dance 4 at the Nintendo Lounge located at the Marriott across the street from the Convention center.
Ubisoft will also have two panels at the show which are detailed below. If you don't get some hands-on time with Assassin's Creed III on the show floor, at least check out the...

Director: Steve Carver; Cirio H. Santiago
Screenplay: John William Corrington and Joyce Hooper Corrington; Miller Drake; Howard R. Cohen
Starring: Pam Greir, Margaret Markov, Pat Anderson, Lenore Kasdorf, Lyllah Torena, Ken Metcalfe, Vic Diaz, Lindsay Bloom and Tara Strohmeier; with appearances by Dick Miller and Mary Woronov
To misquote Jack Nicholson, Roger Corman released so many movies, it's no surprise some real stinkers got into theaters. And the recent Shout! Factory Roger Corman Cult Classics release, Lethal Ladies 2 Collection, is intent on proving that statement. The two-dvd set includes a single-disc presentation of The Arena, and a second disc with the double feature of Fly Me and Cover Girl Models.
The best film in the collection, 1974's The Arena (aka Naked Warriors), is little more than a retelling of Spartacus with women as gladiators. Corman decided it was the perfect vehicle for Pam Grier and Margaret Markov, following their successful...
