Bobby Unser, the racing legend who was one of only 10 drivers to the Indy 500 at least three times and a member of the legendary racing Unser family, died Sunday at his home in New Mexico. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway announced the news today.

“Rip to a Legend,” reads a post on the track’s Twitter account. “Today, the racing world mourns the passing of three-time Indianapolis 500 champion Bobby Unser. He was the total package – adored by fans, funny and charming, and a true champion. An icon, always remembered. Godspeed, racer.”

The African American Film Critics Association (Aafca) is set to honor Carolyn Sloss, vice president of Allied Integrated Marketing, as part of its 8th Annual Synergy Atl Program.

“For more than a decade Carolyn has led the growth trajectory of the film and entertainment community in Atlanta,” Aafca President Gil Robertson said in a statement. “Her commitment to the Arts & Entertainment scene has been impactful to the permanent infrastructure that we see today throughout this region.”

On August 1, the group will recognize Sloss during a gathering at the Auburn Avenue Research Library in Atlanta.

“I am thrilled and proud to be named as the 2019 honoree by Aafca and its Synergy Atl Program,” said Sloss. “In my role at Allied, I’ve strived to forge a path that’s wider and more inclusive in the community. To be recognized for achieving this, even in a small way, is truly a great honor!

Audi is a German automaker that’s one of the best-selling luxury automobile brands in the world. Audi holds 13 championship titles for the Le Mans, the world’s oldest active sports car race in endurance racing. They also developed the fully autonomous car named “Shelly” to scale the tough and dangerous Pikes Peak mountain and clocked at just 19mins short of the current world’s record-holder.
