After starring in the movie
Sigurd the Dragonkiller (1989), he gained a love for acting and
later applied for Teaterhøgskolen (the Norwegian Academy of Dramatic
Arts). After failing to get in, he took his good grades and instead
studied medicine for six years at Bergen University. After finishing
his medical studies in 2003, he has worked as a medical doctor but
spends his spare time on his other passion, the theatre.
