With Dragon Ball Z Kai sadly finishing up its run on Cartoon Network's Toonami programming block, viewers have been wondering for some time now about what might happen with the time slot. While it was speculated that Kai might begin to loop and start again, it seems that Cartoon Network has other plans -- specifically, for One Pieceanime fans.
Previously, the Cn News/Schedules account on X (formerly Twitter) had reported that Dragon Ball Z Kai would be looping back to episode one, hinting at Toonami only having the rights to the first 47 episodes of Kai. However, it seems plans have changed, with the same account reporting that the scheduling changes have gone in a different direction. The scheduling change was also backed up by an Adult Swim news X account, as seen below.

Some characters in anime are so obscenely evil, they're almost hard to watch while they're on-screen. These characters are pig-headed, disrespectful, and usually, just straight-up evil. They do some of the worst things in anime, and the only thing worse than their actions themselves is the idea that they might get away with what they did. Luckily, there is a list of villainous characters who got exactly what was coming to them.
Some characters are just so ridiculously evil it's almost laughable. While this can be frustrating to watch when these characters are at the height of their power, it just makes the story all the more exciting when the righteous hero appears to cut the villain down to size, sometimes literally. The best anime characters who are easy to hate often combine power with unspeakable cruelty, with their comeuppance being an intense moment of catharsis for fans everywhere.

The new channel will feature select episodes from 22 of the series' 25 seasons, including the original Indigo League, Adventures in the Orange Islands, Johto Journeys, Johto League Champions, and Master Quest. Since the shutdown of Pokmon TV, many of these seasons haven't been available for streaming legally anywhere, making it exceptionally difficult for fans of the series to revisit their favorite episodes. The Pokmon Company previously offered a complex chart of where to find certain seasons of the anime, but PlutoTV's new channel will radically simplify viewing the classic series.

Anime is nothing without its rival characters, and one of the best examples is undoubtedly Vegeta from Dragon Ball. Vegeta embodies everything that makes a good rival character with his antagonistic personality, constant efforts to one-up the protagonist, and constant moments where he gets to look as cool as possible, and thanks to Dragon Balls age and popularity, hes long since been the most iconic anime rival around.
With how iconic a character Vegeta is, there has naturally been a bevy of characters over the years to take after his aesthetic. Some characters get to the core of why Vegeta works as a rival, and others are more simple in their approach, but nonetheless entertaining, but whatever the case, there are plenty of great rival characters in anime who are just as much fun to watch as Vegeta. Many fans of the Pokmon anime have longed to see its characters actually get a chance to grow up, but as it turns out, at least one character has had the honor of being shown as an adult in official media--or so it seemed. However, this appearance really only raised more questions than answers, as the scene it comes from remains an absolute mystery.
In one of the first ads for Pokmon the Movie: Mewtwo Strikes Back, the trailer begins with a scene of two adults and a child watching clouds in the sky, which happen to look like Pokmon. One of these adults happens to strongly resemble an adult version of Misty, which has prompted mountains of speculation as to just what exactly the context of this scene might have been. No such scene appears in the final version of the movie, nor is there even a moment which resembles that scene.

Heroes face their evil counterparts in various forms, from alternate selves to robotic duplicates, forcing difficult fights and self-reflection. Menma, Sukuna, and Metal Sonic embody the darker sides of Naruto, Yuji Itadori, and Sonic, showcasing jealousy, manipulation, and destruction. The best evil versions of popular anime heroes often don't appear very often, especially in modern series, but when they do, they are definitely memorable. Goten, like his father Goku, inherited the trait of dropping his guard during battle, as shown in a Dragon Ball Gt episode. Despite possessing immense power, Goten's lack of focus and lowered defenses make him vulnerable to attack. This inherited trait proves that Goten shares Goku's worst quality, hindering his ability to fully utilize his potential as a fighter in Dragon Ball Gt.
It is no secret that Goku and Goten share a number of similarities that go beyond them just being father and son–from physical appearance and airheaded nature to their love of fighting and penchant for shenanigans–and while that isn’t necessarily a bad thing given the fact that Goku is one of the most powerful fighters in the universe, it is unfortunate in one regard as Dragon Ball Gt proves Goten also inherited Goku’s worst trait.

The Kamehameha is one of the most devastating ki blasts in the history of Dragon Ball, and it just so happens to be the signature move of arguably the strongest warrior in the universe, Goku–however, despite how powerful the attack or its users are, one Dragon Ball Gt villain makes the Kamehameha look like a complete joke.
While the Kamehameha Wave is most often associated with Goku, the technique was actually created by Master Roshi. The anime universes of Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragon Ball are surprisingly similar. From how alike Yugi and Goku’s origin stories are, to the fact that Yugi powers up to a stronger version of himself before a ‘battle’ like a Super Saiyan. And now, it seems there is one more similarity that can be added to the ever-growing list, as Yu-Gi-Oh! perfectly recreates Dbz’s most iconic anime moment.
In Dragon Ball Z’s Frieza Saga, Goku and some of the Z-Fighters find themselves on Planet Namek battling the evil emperor Frieza. While Goku trained in his spaceship the entire way to Planet Namek, and proved powerful enough to challenge Frieza, he still wasn’t strong enough to kill him. However, after Frieza murdered Goku’s best friend Krillin, right in front of him, and then threatened the life of his son, Gohan, Goku went berserk and unlocked an all-new form: Super Saiyan.

Blue-Eyes White Dragon has a reputation in Yu-Gi-Oh! for being one of the strongest single cards a duelist can play, but as it turns out, this seemingly all-power monster isn’t that hard to beat after all, as the anime confirms it can be done without even playing a single card.
Blue-Eyes White Dragon has an attack power of 3000 and a defense of 2500. These stats are huge compared to those of most other Duel Monster cards, especially when considering Yugi’s go-to card is the Dark Magician, whose Atk is 2500 and Def is 2100. In other words, if someone holds a Blue-Eyes White Dragon in their deck, and plays it at the appropriate time, it is more than likely that person will win the duel. This is how Seto Kaiba became such a renowned duelist within the continuity of Yu-Gi-Oh!, as Kaiba collected all four Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards in existence,...

It is no secret within the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime fandom that Seto Kaiba is the coolest character in the franchise. From his style and skill to his intellect and attitude, Kaiba is unarguably a top-tier duelist. However, as proven by one impressive accomplishment in the anime, Kaiba is actually even cooler without Duel Monsters.
Seto Kaiba made his debut in the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh!, and initially, he was a villain. Kaiba challenged Yugi’s grandfather, Solomon, to a duel and beat him, thereby winning the old man’s Blue-Eyes White Dragon card, and pushing him to suffer a heart attack due to the stress of the situation. Not only was Kaiba an abhorrent human for terrorizing an old man like this, but he took things one step further by tearing up Solomon’s card right in front of him, even after knowing how important the Blue-Eyes White Dragon is to Yugi and his family.

Yugi’s first Duel Monsters victory in Yu-Gi-Oh! has become an iconic moment within the anime fandom (especially the ending), but while Yugi was victorious, winning that duel was actually the biggest mistake he could have made.
In the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh!, Yugi challenges Seto Kaiba to a duel after Kaiba defeated Yugi’s grandfather, Solomon. Kaiba dueled Solomon to get his hands on the old man’s Blue-Eyes White Dragon, thereby completing Kaiba’s set of four. To avenge his grandfather’s loss–and subsequent heart attack–Yugi challenged Kaiba to a duel where he defeated all three of Kaiba’s Blue-Eyes White Dragons with Exodia. Yugi succeeded in teaching Kaiba a lesson, but the price he would pay for that ultimate victory definitely wasn't worth it.

It’s no secret that Yugi is the best duelist in Yu-Gi-Oh!, but in one of his earliest matches in the anime, one competing duelist presented a strategy that even Yugi couldn’t match.
Yugi isn’t just the best Duel Monsters duelist because of the victories and the accolades, but because he is and has always been fully immersed in the game, both in this life and his last. Yugi’s grandfather, Solomon, taught Yugi the Heart of the Cards when Yugi was very young, which allowed him to establish a deeper connection with his deck at an early age than many other duelists achieve throughout their entire careers. While Solomon set Yugi on the right course, the main reason Yugi can’t lose is because of the influence of Yami Yugi aka himself from a past life. Since its release, Yu-Gi-Oh! has been compared to Pokémon for reasons that include their similar ‘monster battles’, the idea of collecting said ‘monsters’ to use strategically against one’s opponent, and even the real-world playing card games that came from both franchises. While there are far more differences than similarities when it comes to Yu-Gi-Oh! and Pokémon, some of those similarities do hold some merit, and really can’t be denied. That said, it only makes sense that Yugi and Ash would be compared, though Pokémon fans may not be happy with that comparison since Yugi proved to be better than Ash (and the first episode of Yu-Gi-Oh! proves why).
Yu-Gi-Oh! tells the story of Yugi who has been ‘possessed’ by the spirit of the ancient Egyptian Pharaoh, Atem. This happened after Yugi’s grandfather, Solomon Muto, traveled to Egypt and uncovered a mystical artifact: the Millennium Puzzle, which held...

Fans of Yu-Gi-Oh! are well aware of what it meant for Kaiba to get ahold of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon card in the first episode of the series, since he already had the only three other Blue-Eyes White Dragon cards in existence, and he couldn’t let anyone possess the means to beat him in a duel. However, as significant as it was to the regular Yu-Gi-Oh! antagonist, it was even more so to Yugi–for more reasons than one.
The Blue-Eyes White Dragon card is arguably the number one most iconic thing about Yu-Gi-Oh! as a series. Sure, the real-world card game and classic characters are recognizable to this day, but even people who don’t watch or play the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game know about the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, even if they don’t fully understand what it is or why it is a big deal in the anime.

Yugi’s Heart of the Cards is perhaps the greatest skill a duelist can have in Yu-Gi-Oh!, except, someone else actually has a much better version of that same technique–and theirs is superior for one key reason.
The Heart of the Cards is a technique used by duelists engaging in Duel Monsters, and when done correctly, it can make a duelist unbeatable. Basically, the Heart of the Cards is when a duelist has complete and utter faith in their deck, which results in them drawing the perfect card at the perfect time. In some cases, this ability is seemingly supernatural, as the very soul of the cards seem to call out to their duelist, thereby connecting the duelist even more with their deck. When anime fans think of Yu-Gi-Oh! as well as other anime that are similar to Yu-Gi-Oh!, it is unlikely that Dragon Ball comes to mind, as Goku and Yugi immediately seem like they have absolutely nothing in common. Goku is a muscle-bound Saiyan surging with cosmic power who can’t wait until his next fight, while Yugi is a fairly small human teenager who lets his cards do the fighting for him. However, upon taking a closer look at their respective origins, it actually becomes clear that Goku and Yugi are much more alike than fans might realize.

While it may seem hard to grasp in the current age of Pokémon continuity, Ash was originally far from the greatest trainer in the world–one could even argue that he was one of the worst–and the reason why really boils down to the bad habits he was forming early on in his career, as shown during the events leading up to his first gym battle, which confirms exactly why it took Ash decades to become a champion.
Upon turning ten years old, Ash Ketchum wasted no time in becoming a Pokémon trainer–except, that’s not entirely true. While the idea of fusions within Dragon Ball continuity technically started with Piccolo as he was fusing with the likes of Nail and Kami long before any of the Saiyans, the Namkeian method was more of a body and soul absorption rather than an amalgamation of two fighters becoming one. Any Dragon Ball fan knows that if there is one villain Vegeta should hate more than any other, it is Frieza–though surprisingly enough, that isn’t the case as Gt reveals another foe who easily surpasses Frieza on Vegeta’s most-hated list, and the reason has everything to do with Vegeta’s Saiyan pride.
The history between Vegeta and Frieza stretches back years before the events of even the classic Dragon Ball series when Frieza had complete control over the Saiyan race and their planet-conquering armies, and used them to take over entire worlds in the name of his evil empire. However, once Frieza had a premonition of his own demise by the hand of the Legendary Super Saiyan, he wiped out the entire Saiyan race for fear of their potential power. The Super Saiyan transformations are arguably the most iconic aspect of the Dragon Ball series, though evidently not the strongest as Goku’s most powerful form isn’t a Super Saiyan.
While the first Super Saiyan form was introduced near the end of Dragon Ball Z’s Frieza Saga when Goku unlocked it for the first time and used his newfound power to defeat the evil emperor, Super Saiyan was far from the first Saiyan transformation in-canon. One of the earliest transformations in Dragon Ball history is the Great Ape–a form that debuted during the events of classic Dragon Ball and was revealed to be the go-to transformation for the now-extinct Saiyan race while conquering alien planets.
