- Maria Syrgiannis is a Canadian actor who grew up in Regina, Saskatchewan. She studied acting at George Brown Theatre School in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Since graduating she has been cast in numerous film and TV roles. Her first real break was to be cast as "Francesca" on the drama series Forever Knight(1996) playing opposite Geraint Wyn Davies, directed by Nigel Bennet. She then went on to act opposite Sam Sheppard in A&E's Dash and Lilly (1999), directed by Kathy Bates, The Cheetah Girls ( Disney, 2003), directed by Oz Scott, and had a recurring role on Naturally Sadie (Disney/Lifetime 2005) as Toula Papadakis. She has gone on to work in numerous television series such as Murdoch Mysteries (2016), Killjoys (2017), The Expanse (2018), Utopia Falls (2019) and Run the Burbs (2021), and voiced the supporting lead role of Myrinne in the Assassin's Creed Odyssey video game (Ubisoft).
