Arthur Stringer was born on 26 February 1874 in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. He was a writer, known for Womanhandled (1925), The Wilderness Woman (1926) and The Lady Fights Back (1937). He was married to Margaret Arbuthnot Stringer and Jobyna Howland. He died on 14 September 1950 in Mountain Lakes, New Jersey, USA.

Stringer&#39;s parents were Hugh Stringer and Sarah Mary Delmage. His
children with Margaret A. Stringer are Arthur John Arbuthnott Stringer
(John), Hugh Arbuthnott Stringer (Barney), and Robert Arbuthnott
Stringer.
