It’s been a hot minute since we’ve thought about One Life to Live’s Dorian Lord. The manipulative and vindictive woman made a long list of enemies in Llanview over the years. Her niece, Blair Cramer, traveled to Port Charles in recent years — a crossover with General Hospital. Fans have been clamoring for more characters from ABC’s shared soaps universe to appear on Gh, and Dorian’s former portrayer, Robin Strasser, answered one burning question with a shocking answer.

On X, formerly Twitter, a fan told Strasser, “You need to be on @GeneralHospital as a long-lost Casadine – perhaps connected to Sidwell [Carlo Rota] and is nursing Spencer [Nicholas Alexander Chavez] back to health because you are a doctor! From Psycho Doctor To Secret Service

Not too long ago, Darin Toonder tortured Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) on General Hospital. The actor played the evil Dr. Montague, who worked with Gladys (ex-Bonnie Burroughs) to institutionalize her daughter-in-law. He drugged her, held her hostage, and tried to kill her until Cody (Josh Kelly) came to the rescue. The doctor was arrested and never seen in Port Charles again.

Toonder has acted in series such as Will Trent and Lessons In Chemistry. He now appears in three episodes of the Hulu series Paradise as Secret Service Agent Rainey protecting President Cal Bradford, played by Marsden.

History

Oltl aired on ABC from July 15, 1968, to January 13, 2012. After that, it continued as a web series on Hulu and iTunes through The Online Network, running from April 29-August 19, 2013. The show centered primarily around the Lord family, particularly the wealthy and influential Victoria “Viki” Lord. Throughout the show’s long run, it also explored the lives of other families in the fictional town of Llanview, Pennsylvania, such as the Buchanans, the Cramers, and the Vegas. Late-night horror series The Classic Ghosts has rarely been seen since airing on ABC’s Wide World of Mystery in 1973, but that’s about to change.

The UCLA Film & Television Archive has preserved all five installments, coming to Blu-ray on October 29 via Kino Lorber’s Kino Cult line. Watch the exclusive trailer below.

Produced by broadcast pioneer Jacqueline Babbin, The Classic Ghosts was celebrated upon its debut for being made by a predominantly female crew, including trailblazing television directors Gloria Monty (General Hospital) and Lela Swift (Studio One).

Shot on videotape in the style of a soap opera, with expressive and colorful production design, The Classic Ghosts has an immediacy and otherworldliness akin to Dark Shadows — not surprising since two of the directors (Swift and Henry Kaplan) directed hundreds of episodes of the classic horror TV series.

Alderson’s (ex-Matthew) sister, Kristen Alderson (ex-Starr), took to Instagram with a slew of photos from her little brother’s big day on September 21, 2024, including a group photo featuring several familiar faces.

Along with congratulations for the happy couple, Alderson’s caption read, “Everyone was beaming with excitement the whole day! Not only was our wonderful blood family there but our One Life to Live family as well! Oh man, I hadn’t seen Kassie and Bob in such a long time, I cried when I saw them! And my besties @britt_underwood and @nicrobuck flew in to be there!?!! My heart was just bursting all night.”

Some fun news for One Life To Live (Oltl) fans as Eddie Alderson, who played Matthew Buchanan from 2001 to 2012, got married over the weekend, wedding pharmacist Sylwia Practon, on Saturday, September 21.

The two said their vows at Our Lady of Czestochowa Church in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, and a beautiful reception followed at Terrain at DelVal.

One Life To Live – Alum Eddie Alderson’s Heartfelt Instagram Post

The actor hopped on Instagram posting, “Yesterday I married my best friend,” and adding, “Dreams really do come true.”

It was a big day for former One Life to Live star Eddie Alderson on Saturday, September 21, as he tied the knot with his bride, Sylwia Pracon, and reunited with his former castmates. According to MichaelFairmanTV, the nuptials took place at Our Lady of Czestochowa in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, with the reception at Terrain Gardens. General Hospital will soon look a lot different following the unexpected exit of Kelly Monaco, who has played Sam McCall for 21 years. The surprise casting decision will likely have monumental ripple effects throughout the fictional town of Port Charles and the daytime TV landscape. With Sam being a key player on the canvas for over two decades, the character's untimely exit will affect most of the remaining characters in some capacity. Unfortunately for Monaco, it appears the decision to exit the sudser was not her own and reportedly "blindsided" the Emmy-nominated actress.

Monaco's character was recently temporarily recast, with Passions alum, Lindsay Hartley stepping into the role. However, while it might make sense for Hartley or another actor to take over as Sam, this will not be the case. According to Soap Opera Network, Sam will be killed off, and Monaco's final scenes are slated to air sometime this fall.

Daytime drama actor, Andrea Evans, has died at the age of 66.

The actress, who rose to soap opera fame in the ’70s and ’80s thanks to her role as Tina Lord on the ABC series “One Life To Live”, passed away on Sunday from cancer.

Evans’ death was announced by casting director, Don Carroll.

The Aurora, Illinois-native starred as Tina until 1981 when she left to take on the role of Patty Williams on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” from 1983 to 1984. Then, in 1985, she returned to “One Life” and was later nominated for a Daytime Emmy in 1988.

Evans went on to play Tawny Moore on CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful”, Rebecca Hotchkiss on NBC’s “Passions” and Patty Walker on Amazon Prime’s “The Bay”.

Following her signature role on One Life To Live, Evans went on to play Patty Williams on CBS’ The Young and the Restless, Tawny Moore on CBS’ The Bold and the Beautiful, Rebecca Hotchkiss on NBC’s Passions and Patty Walker on Amazon Prime’s The Bay.

The soap world is saying goodbye to Jacklyn Zeman, the longtime star of General Hospital who played nurse Bobbie Spencer. The actress died Wednesday at 70 after a short battle with cancer, according to reports.

Zeman’s passing was announced Wednesday evening on Twitter by Frank Valentini, the daytime drama’s executive producer. Zeman first joined the ABC sudser in 1977 and appeared in more than 800 episodes. She was a five-time Daytime Emmy nominee — four for Gh and one for starring in The Bay as Sofia Madison.

Current and former soap stars like Greg Vaughan, John Stamos, Rick Springfield and Eden McCoy paid tribute to their former colleague on social media, calling her a sweet soul “who never ceased to make us smile.”

Brandon Barash was killed off of “Days of Our Lives” last October when his character, Stefan Dimera, was shot to death, prompting his wife Gabi (Camila Banus) to donate his heart to Julie (Susan Seaforth Hayes), but despite literally being a heartless man, Stefan will return to Salem on April 23, and Barash sang a song to announce his resurrection. Marj Dusay, a star of television soap operas like “All My Children,” “Days of Our Lives” and “Guiding Light,” died Tuesday at the age of 83.

Her stepdaughter, Elizabeth Perine, confirmed Dusay’s passing in a Facebook post.

“I’m so very sad to have to tell you that my stepmother Marj passed away peacefully yesterday morning in her sleep. She was quite a woman and had quite a grand life. She was deeply loved and will be deeply missed,” Perine wrote Wednesday.

Dusay was married to Perine’s father, Thomas Perine, from 1967 until his death in 1987.

Dusay played Vanessa Bennett on “All My Children” from 1998 to 2002. She played Vivian Alamain on “Days of Our Lives” from 1992 to 1993, and her most recent role was as Alexandra Spaulding on “Guiding Light.”

Soaps4Ever: I prefer Louise Sorel as Vivian but I think Robin Strasser did what she could with the character. In my opinion, she wasn't given enough time to really dig her heels into the role.

I also didn't see the point in changing her hairstyle every other episode. The other Vivian did not do that and it was kind of strange.

It's going to take time to get used to her. However, the writing is over the top and that's saying a lot considering what character we're talking about.

Although Days of Our Lives overuses the back from the dead trope, it's always good to see Vivian Alamain.

Vivian is equal parts classy and conscienceless, making her the perfect soap diva. Louise Sorel made this character her own, so recasting her when Sorel wasn't available was a risky move.

It's going to take time for viewers to get Louise Sorel's version of Vivian out of their heads, but Days of Our Lives gave Robin Strasser plenty of screen time during the week of 9-2-19, and she is doing an excellent job of filling Sorel's shoes.

Vivian's re-introduction scenes were fun. She was the same witty, self-centered character she'd always been, and her connection to Jack because of the warehouse brought up some interesting questions.

Hopefully, Days of Our Lives will delve into what the warehouse was like for everyone Rolf resurrected.
