"Home Fires" is a perfect summation of where Young Justice is as a show right now.
This Young Justice: Outsiders review contains spoilers.
Young Justice Season 3 Episode 9
Early on in Young Justice: Outsiders' return, it was pretty clear that the creators of the show hadn't missed a step since they left six years ago. That wasn't an entirely accurate observation, though. In the intervening half-decade, they actually got substantially better at making superhero tv shows, and when you think about how good the show was when they left off, that's incredible. This latest episode is the proof.
Picking up where they left off last week, we open on a new community center for metahumans being opened by the League in Taos, New Mexico. Aqualad, El Dorado, El Dorado's dad, and a few others are there to welcome Live Wire and Mist in to help them adjust to having powers but nobody mind controlling them.

Ed Stelz, New York CityRejection. Criticism. Struggle. Poverty. Insecurity. We, as actors, have most likely experienced one, if not all, of these hindrances during our careers. They become individual ball-and-chain encumbrances tightly shackled to our ankles as we sprint toward the finish-line-o-success in an extremely crowded marathon race. In January, my insecurity ball grew to what felt like 1,000 pounds—and only because I lost focus on what was important in my career—or better, why I chose this career to begin with. My current show, "Carnival Round the Central Figure," received unbelievably amazing reviews, including a Critic's Pick from Back Stage and a brilliant New York Times review. Now this might confuse you. Why would I, as one of the main supporting characters, be insecure after these reviews? Well, I'm also one of the only actors who never received a personal review—nothing good, nothing bad, just nothing. I speak...

Shakespeare, Ibsen, Chekhov, Williams, Miller—all these playwrights and many more wrote memorable roles that over time have become iconic. For example, when we think of Stanley, we think Brando. Certain lines, too, carry extra weight. You know the ones I mean: "Stelllllaaa!," "To be or not to be," and so on.Actors generally take one of two approaches to such roles. Either they "steal" from others' performances, stage or film, at some point during rehearsals or the run, or else they studiously avoid seeing anyone else in the role and try to erase their memories of others' performances from their mind. For some, though, the course they follow depends on the role itself."It seems everyone who's ever played Dottie Ottley has won a Tony," sighs Deborah Strang, who was in rehearsal for "Noises Off" at Los Angeles' A Noise Within when I called her. Judi Dench is one...
