Famed magician and stunt performer David Blaine has long been known for his mind-bending tricks. It's resulted in getting spoofed in pop culture on several occasions, though Blaine always saw the humor in the parodies.

Blaine reflected on some of these spoofs in a new interview with Variety. He commented on the popular YouTube videos that spoofed his TV show David Blaine's Street Magic, where his abilities were imagined as heavily exaggerated. He also popped up in a controversial episode of the animated series South Park. Meanwhile, Jim Carrey's character in the comedy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone was clearly inspired by Blaine. In response to these parodies, Blaine said he enjoyed them, though he didn't understand at first one quirk he was given in South Park.

Ana Gasteyer, Tony Hale, Dulé Hill, Gillian Jacobs Jim Rash and Sasheer Zamata are set to star in a live reading of Beverly Hills, a soap opera written by TVLine founder and Spoiler Alert author Michael Ausiello when he was 13.

Adding an element of surprise, the actors will get to read the script for the first time when they take the stage on July 16 at Los Angeles’ Hayworth Theater (aka Dynasty Typewriter). Proceeds from the event, which will be live-streamed, will benefit The Trevor Project.

The Happytime Murders will undoubtedly be at the bottom of every worst film list of 2018 and with a high pedigree of potential flowing through its wings and significant names attached to the project, both behind and in front of the camera, it comes as quite the disaster. Trailers looked ludicrously dull and unpragmatic, leading to mixed responses, to say the least, that featured little to no positive response. The film itself, the final product, a production of almost a year is undoubtedly, unequivocally, a total complete disaster. Variety reports that Bridesmaids writer Annie Mumolo will star in a new comedy series that’s being executive produced by Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone. Mumolo, who also costarred with McCarthy (and Falcone) in The Boss, will play the titular Amy in Amy’s Brother. As the title suggests, the half-hour comedy will center on a mismatched pair of siblings and their unconventional family. Amy’s bro is a Type-a, uh, type, while Amy is a single mother of two kids. They have to move in together, probably because of the economy, and so wacky, ultimately warmhearted hijinks can ensue.

Fox ordered the pilot last month, which was created by two other Bridesmaids and The Boss cast members, Jim Cashman and Mitch Silpa. Mumolo, who was nominated for an Oscar for Bridesmaids, has done lots of TV work, including stints on Transparent and Angie Tribeca.

Fox has given pilot green light to Amy’s Brother, a single-camera comedy produced by the husband-and-wife duo of Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone and Warner Bros TV.

This is Fox’s first pilot order to an outside studio this season. The network has picked up 10 other pilots — five comedies and five dramas — all from 20th TV.

The Groundlings are bringing a bright spot to the dark tragedy of the shootings at Orlando, Florida’s Pulse Nightclub. The Los Angeles Groundling troupe has organized “Love Is Love,” a special night of improv and sketch comedy to celebrate the Lgbt community and to benefit the victims’ families. Tickets are $15 for the June 20 show taking place at 10 p.m., and all proceeds will be donated via Equality Florida.
