A new “Heroes” reboot series is in development from creator Tim Kring, Variety has confirmed.
The reboot, titled “Heroes: Eclipsed,” is set years after the events of the original superhero series, as new evolved humans are discovering their powers. Kring is executive producing “Heroes: Eclipsed” with his manager, Mosaic’s Jordan Cerf. Casting has yet to be announced.
“Heroes” ran for four seasons on NBC from 2006 to 2010, and starred Hayden Panettiere, Jack Coleman, Milo Ventimiglia, Masi Oka, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar and Greg Grunberg. Kring then worked on the 2015 limited series “Heroes Reborn,” with Coleman reprising his role as Noah Bennet. Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Rya Kihlstedt and Judith Shekoni also starred in “Heroes Reborn.”
Back in 2015, while promoting “Reborn,” Kring teased the possibility of developing more storylines in the “Heroes” universe following the 13-episode event series.

Milo Ventimiglia believes that a return of the TV series "Heroes" is unlikely, as the attempted reboot didn't go well. Ventimiglia thinks that the original series' success was due to the depth of its characters, which was lacking in the reboot. The "Heroes" franchise has been dormant since the failed reboot, and there are no signs of it being revived in the near future.
Before the MCU took the world by storm in 2008 with an eccentric billionaire building a suit of armor, NBC debuted Heroes in 2006, dealing with ordinary people who found themselves with extraordinary powers. As a key component of the original series, Milo Ventimiglia has spoken out about whether he believes the show will get a chance to return for a third time. For fans of the superhero drama, the news isn't good.

Milo Ventimiglia, who played Peter Petrelli in the NBC superhero series Heroes, which ran from 2006 to 2010, has little hope for a second series revival.
"I feel like I've been trained to say, ''never say never,'' but I think when they tried to bring back Heroes and reboot Heroes, it was a bit of a soft landing," Ventimiglia told ComicBook while promoting his new film Land of Bad. "I don't think that one's gonna be revisited again. I think it's just one of those things [that] I think they tried, and it didn't quite go," he said about the 13-episode revival, which didn't include much of the original cast.

Back in May, Disney dropped the first trailer for their upcoming Maleficent sequel starring Angelina Jolie and Elle Fanning, and today we have an all-new trailer to share with you guys. While the first trailer for Disney's Maleficent: Mistress of Evil that was released back in May was basically a quick glimpse at the mood of the new film, this new trailer showcases much more of the film's plot.
And speaking of this sequel's plot, from the looks of today's extended trailer it appears this new adventure will center on Elle Fanning's Princess Aurora getting engaged and her birth mother, Queen Ingrith (played by Batman Returns and What Lies Beneath star Michelle Pfeiffer) trying to reclaim the girl from Maleficent's care. As you might imagine, sets off Jolie's titular witch and sends her on a rip-roaring rampage of revenge that seems to include some pretty epic-looking action. Plus, it...

"There is no union! There will be no wedding!" Disney has debuted a full-length trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the dark sequel to the live-action Maleficent movie from 2014. The teaser trailer dropped a few months ago, but now we get a full look and damn this seems very dark and extra wicked. Inspired by Disney's Sleeping Beauty, we follow the story of young Aurora and her relationship to Maleficent, the "evil witch" who poisoned the princess and wants to rule over everyone. Angelina Jolie returns to star as the iconic witch, with Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith, plus a cast including Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Robert Lindsay, Ed Skrein, Juno Temple, Imelda Staunton, Lesley Manville, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kae Alexander, David Gyasi, and Judith Shekoni. So does this look any better? Is anyone excited for this sequel? Seems like they're trying too hard to make it look more epic than it truly is.

"There are many who prey on the innocent..." Disney has revealed the first teaser trailer for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, the dark sequel to the live-action Maleficent movie from 2014. This series is originally based on Disney's Sleeping Beauty, but tells the story from the perspective of Maleficent, the "evil witch" who poisoned the princess. In this sequel, the complex relationship of Maleficent and Aurora continues to be explored as they face new threats to the magical land of the Moors. Angelina Jolie returns to star as the iconic witch, with Michelle Pfeiffer as Queen Ingrith, and a cast including Elle Fanning, Sam Riley, Harris Dickinson, Robert Lindsay, Ed Skrein, Juno Temple, Imelda Staunton, Lesley Manville, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Kae Alexander, David Gyasi, and Judith Shekoni. This is only a teaser trailer with a lot of establishing shots and a glimpse at the story, but it certainly does look magnificent and very wicked.

Shekoni starred in “Twilight Breaking Saga: Breaking Dawn II – Part 2” as Zafrina, the leader of the Amazonian Vampires. It seems 2015/2016 shall be marked as the TV season that saw the resurgence of old shows reborn in mini-series form (or “event series” as the Us networks so desperately want us to call them). Its also the year that these returning shows, The X-Files and Heroes Reborn, did nothing but disappoint the fans who loved the shows and hoped – beyond all hope it turns out – that these new iterations would recapture what made the original series so good.

This week, our Heroes Reborn fall finale — not to be confused with the actual finale, which isn’t until January — is brought to you by the American automotive industry. Those are the signals I’m getting, anyway. What with Kiki Sukezane (Miko Otomo/Katana Girl) and Greg Grunberg (Matt Parkman) anchoring Shell commercials and now Judith Shekoni (Joanne Collins) starring in her own evo-themed Cadillac spot, not to mention the fact that on the show itself no one can seem to get over Luke’s “cool” rental car, the most suburban Ford sedan on earth, the line between product placement and “this is a limited series, but don’t think we won’t milk it for every penny” has all but vanished. If this is how it has to be, the least they could do is let me know where I can buy just about every single piece of decor Erica Kravid owns.

When it began, Heroes was a huge hit for NBC. But then, the storylines got too convoluted, much of the audience lost interest, the ratings dropped and the network cancelled the series without any resolution. Now, they've revived it as a mini-series called Heroes Reborn. Will it be a big success and be brought back for a second season or will it be a flop? Stay tuned.

Judi Shekoni, one of the stars of NBC’s “Heroes Reborn,” plays woman out for revenge Joanne Collins in the limited series reboot from creator Tim Kring. “Joanne was a mother and wife, and pretty much a regular woman,” Shekoni told host Greg Gilman during an episode of TheWrap’s “Drinking With the Stars.” “And a tragedy happened where she lost her son. She believes at the hands of people with special powers. So she’s out to gain revenge and perhaps redemption,” said said. Shekoni also caught up any fans who may have missed the original finale of “Heroes” back in 2010. “Essentially where.

If you’re looking for similarities between Chuck‘s Chuck Bartowski and Heroes Reborn‘s Luke Collins, get ready to write a short list.
Outside of the fact that Zachary Levi portrays both men (and they each know how to wield a gun), Chuck and Luke have nothing in common — and Levi prefers it that way.
“My only prerequisite was I didn’t want to play Chuck again,” the actor says of his involvement with the Heroes revival. “I really wanted to play something that was darker and grittier and edgier and more f—ked up. I wanted somebody that had some problems.

There aren’t a lot of shows with the ratings history of Heroes that would spawn a revival/respawn/sequel. While the show launched to huge ratings, and had an impressive first season, it continually declined for the rest of its run, ultimately falling far enough that by the fourth season it wasn’t any surprise that the show was going.
Apart from the pure ratings approach to popularity, there was something of a backlash before long, and though a solid base of fans complained when the show left, it wasn’t in the pop culture spotlight.
Now, after some 8 years have gone, the show returns with Heroes Reborn.
It isn’t quite the next greatest thing, mostly because it has too much to do, and there’s no way to fit it all in, but it isn’t going to disappoint fans, and it balances the mystery with the...
