Craig E. Serling is an Emmy-nominated writer, editor, and producer whose creative vision and interest in human drama have been the cornerstones of his accomplished career.
Earning a Bachelor of Science in Film and Photographic Arts from the Rochester Institute of Technology, Craig began his career producing documentaries. Craig's early projects gained significant attention, including American Heroes, filmed in Bosnia during the siege of Sarajevo, Roseland, which chronicled the gentrification of a community and earned him a directing fellowship at the American Film Institute (AFI), and Received Damage, an investigative piece on the punk rock band Black Flag and featured rare interviews.

His 2008 feature, JAM, gained widespread attention for its standout cast, including Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Gina Torres, and Skyler Gisondo, who would later become household names. JAM toured the film festival circuit extensively and ultimately landed multiple distribution deals with Starz Media, Showtime Networks, and is now available on Amazon Prime.
In the unscripted space, Craig worked on landmark first seasons of Survivor and American Idol, to name a few. He has worked as a producer and editor developing formats for nearly every network and cable outlet.
Craig's expertise in storytelling has been featured in Creative Screenwriting magazine, where he shared his insights on crafting impactful narratives that blend human drama with broader social commentary. While Craig is also a Los Angeles-based filmmaker, has also shared his knowledge as a teacher and panelist at filmmaking workshops in Upstate New York.
