His film career came to an end because of World War II and he was only to go on after the war for a short time with support roles in movies like "Der Dorfmonarch" (50) with Joe Stöckel and Karin Hardt, "Heimatglocken" (1952) with Albert Florath and "Der Klosterjäger" (1953) directed by Harald Reinl.
