[[tmz:video id="0_uoo4eidl"]] When it comes to assault charges in the Rex and Rob Ryan Margaritaville incident -- the situation can best be summed up this way ... Some people say that there's a Ryyyyyan to blame ... but cops say (doo doo doo doo do) ... it's not their fault. (doo doo doo doo do). As we previously reported, the NFL coaches were involved in a dust-up at a Margaritaville restaurant in Nashville back in June -- where they allegedly...

UK production outfit Salon Pictures has kicked off principal photography on Breaking Habits, a feature documentary about a commune of nuns who run an illegal cannabis farm in the Us.
The collective, called the Sisters of the Valley, operate their business in Merced, California. They were founded by former financial worker Sister Kate, who quit the business and became an activist, adopting the nun persona after dressing in a habit for the 2011 Occupy Wall Street protest.
According to a 2016 Guardian interview, they claim not to follow any traditional religion, and say they are attempting to make the production of a marijuana a “healing industry”.

Jennifer Yuh Nelson's "Kung Fu Panda 2" dominated the Annie Awards nominations, but the International Animated Film Society decided to give its highest honor -- the Best Animated Feature award -- to Gore Verbinski's "Rango." Both films are from DreamWorks Animation and they still have to duke it out at the upcoming Oscars in the Best Animated Feature Film category.
Besides the Best Animated trophy, "Rango" also collected awards for Best Editing and Writing. Dan McCarthy's chilling, beautiful advert for Paddy Considine's new film Tyrannosaur proves an inspired commission
Attracting a fair bit of praise on the internet at the moment is the poster for Tyrannosaur, the first feature film by Paddy Considine. Considine is the British actor best known for his work with Shane Meadows; he also played the fearless Guardian journalist in The Bourne Ultimatum, and New Order's manager, Rob Gretton, in 24 Hour Party People. Considine's film is a grim-sounding Leeds-set drama about an angry, violent widower (Peter Mullan) and his relationship with a charity shop worker (Olivia Colman) and her abusive husband. At this year's Sundance film festival it won the world cinema drama directing award and the special jury prize for acting for both veteran character actor Mullan and for Colman, who played Sophie in the TV series Peep Show.

In a new book, the infamous New York Jets coach reveals how you corral a team of testosterone-infused gladiators. He spoke to Marlow Stern about Tom Brady, Osama bin Laden, and foot fetishes.
Football coach Rex Ryan loves to blitz. But during the 2010 NFL season, it was his own New York Jets team that seemed to have the target on its back. Before the first seconds ticked off the game clock, the Jets had already been featured on HBO's behind-the-scenes training camp program Hard Knocks, where they were branded as Animal House-style gladiators thanks to their regular pranks and foul language (much of which came courtesy of Ryan). To make matters worse, sideline reporter Ines Sainz accused several Jets players of harassment. A series of foot fetish videos posted by Deadspin allegedly featuring Ryan and his wife, Michelle, added to the circus.

Hello, Zoners!
I hope everyone is doing well and looking forward to another week of wonderfulness. I had everything for this post written and ready to go, but with shock and surprise, only moments ago I scrapped my original greeting. For right now, late on Sunday, I am in front of my TV set, watching President Obama, and trying to absorb the news that nearly 10 years after the attacks on the World Trade Center, bin Laden is dead. As a New Yorker, this naturally resonates profoundly with me. I sit here, remembering that day in September, which was so beautiful when it began, and so shattered.
I feel I know how Jon will handle this; I wonder what Stephen will do. Jon can be sincere, emotional, and himself. Stephen’s character complicates things, but I have complete faith that he is up to the task.
Now, as I take a breath,...

I came across this great re-designed movie poster for Tim Burton's Edward Scissorhands and I thought you all might get a kick out of it. I love the paper cut design of this poster, it's perfect. It was created by Dan Sherratt, and here are his thoughts on it,
Edward Scissorhands sits at the top (or very close to the top) of my favourite films from childhood (see also: The People Under The Stairs, Critters, Tremors, Beetlejuice).
Released in 1991, I would have been about 9 or 10 by the time it made it’s way on to the small screen. Burton captured my imagination throughout the 90′s and this certainly won’t be the only title of his I’ll be working on. This piece is inspired by the work of Rob Ryan, who creates incredibly intricate paper cuts using single sheets of paper – watching Edward Scissorhands kind of reminded me of him.

Your NFL Week 11 Recap, in the form of stupid pictures: Steelers 35, Raiders 3 The Steelers rolled in this one despite a franchise-record 163 yards worth of penalties, including a ‘Roughing The Passer’ flag on James Harrison for, as the ref described it, “Using his full weight to make the tackle.” I’m glad the league is cracking down on linebackers who fail to lose weight between the beginning and end of tackling someone (throwing up is encouraged.) Ben Roethlisberger had his strongest game of the season though: Cowboys 35, Lions 19 I think we all clearly agree with both meanings of this Cowboys sign: Packers 31, Vikings 3 With this road win, the Packers officially threw a cement coating around the already nailed-shut coffin that is the Vikings’ 2010 Season: Bills 49, Bengals 31 After blowing a 31-14 lead at home to the Bills, the Bengals have officially slipped to “paper bag head” status: On a related note, when...

Indie director Gregory Caiafa got in touch to let us know about Intruder, the premiere production from his Red Circle Movies outfit, and pass on a few exclusive images. Described by Caiafa as “a dark character study and homage to ’80s slasher films,” the movie shot last October in Copake, NY, with pick-ups completed this past July.
