Taylor Sheridan and Sylvester Stallone's Tulsa King has unveiled new cast members. Bella Heathcote and James Russo will feature in the upcoming third season of the Paramount+ series.

Per Variety, Heathcote has joined Tulsa King as a series regular, while Russo has been cast in a recurring role. Heathcote will play Cleo Montague, described as "a Tulsa native born and raised, and the daughter of a distillery owner." Russo will play "Quiet" Ray Renzetti, known as "one of the mob bosses in New York." Russo's character is "calm and measured." Heathcote has appeared in other projects such as Amazon's The Man in the High Castle, CBS' Strange Angel, and films including Relic, Fifty Shades Darker, Pride And Prejudice And Zombies, Neon Demon, and The Moongai. The veteran Russo has starred in The Deuce, Chicago Fire, Hawaii Five-o, Horizon: An American Saga, Open Range, Donnie Brasco, Django Unchained, and Black Mass.

“Tulsa King” Season 3 is continuing to build out its cast. Variety has learned exclusively that Bella Heathcote has joined the Paramount+ show as a series regular, while James Russo has been cast in a recurring role.

The pair join previously announced new cast members Robert Patrick and Beau Knapp, as well as returning cast members Sylvester Stallone, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Annabella Sciorra, Neal McDonough, and Frank Grillo, with Garrett Hedlund and Dana Delany. It was previously announced that “Tulsa King” Season 3 is now in production.

Filmmaker Uwe Boll is back with a new action-packed vigilante thriller, ‘The Dark Knight,’ starring Armie Hammer as a man who takes justice into his own hands. The film, currently shooting in Zagreb, Croatia, has also added Costas Mandylor (‘Saw’ franchise) to the cast. As part of his comeback tour, embattled actor Armie Hammer is ready to gear up and dole out some justice as the star of Uwe Boll‘s latest feature, The Dark Knight. Principal photography for Boll’s vigilante thriller begins in Croatia on January 27, with Hammer eager to step into the scene.

According to Variety, The Dark Knight is based on an original script by Boll, with Hammer playing Sanders, “who takes justice into his own hands as he sets out to hunt down criminals. While his crusade transforms him into a social media sensation and a hero in the eyes of the public, the local police chief sees him as a menace to society and aims to take him down.”

UTA Independent Film Group has acquired Uwe Boll’s upcoming migrant crisis thriller “Run,” starring Emmy and Tony award winner Amanda Plummer (“Star Trek: Picard”) and James Russo (“Horizon: An American Saga – Chapter 1”).

UTA will handle global sales for the pic, produced by Boll’s U.S.-Canadian shingle Event Film and his German outfit Bolu.

UTA takes over from the film’s initial sales company, Stuttgart-based Kinostar, headed by “Run” executive producer Michael Roesch. The move is seen as an advantage for potential worldwide deals.

“We are thrilled to work with UTA for the global sales of ‘Run’ and can’t wait to introduce the movie to audiences around the world,” said Boll.

Kevin Costner‘s period Western Horizon: An American Saga — Chapter 1 has a streaming date.

The first chapter in the former Yellowstone star’s film saga will release on Max on Aug. 23.

Following the film disappointing at the box office — Chapter 1, which runs three hours and one minute, opened to just $11 million over the June 28-30 weekend — Costner’s Territory Pictures and distribution partner New Line Cinema decided to pause on releasing Horizon: Chapter 2. The second installment was pulled from a planned Aug. 16 theater release in order to give audiences the opportunity to discover the first installment on PVOD and Max.

Chapter 1 debuted in the home on Premium VOD July 16 while it remained in theaters, but at that time, a Max date had not been announced. The switch-up in what was an ambitious release plan was in hopes of allowing more time to grow the audience, as the first film sports a $100 million price tag.

The film hits streaming following its Cannes premiere and June 28 theatrical debut, which was regarded as a misfire for a big-budget title, at a gross of just over $34 million. While Warner Bros initially intended to release Chapter 2 just two months later, on August 16 — in an unusual move — the sequel’s release has since been delayed for an indefinite period, the hope being to give audiences who have not yet caught up with Chapter 1 a chance to do so. Chapter 2 will screen out of competition at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday, September 7, with Chapter 1 playing there earlier in the day.

The actor, 63, opened up about reprising his character, Detroit detective Axel Foley, in the upcoming Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, during an appearance on the Today show Tuesday.

Warner Bros. Pictures has released the new trailer and character posters for New Line Cinema’s Horizon: An American Saga, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Kevin Costner. Horizon: An American Saga is a multi-faceted chronicle covering the Civil War expansion and settlement of the American West.

A story of Americana and patriotism too big for one film, this true cinematic event also stars Costner, who co-wrote the script with Jon Baird (The Explorers Guild) and produces through his Territory Pictures.

Warner Bros. Pictures will distribute two films in the saga this summer – the first on June 28, 2024, followed quickly by the second on August 16, 2024. The first film is rated R for violence, some nudity, and sexuality.

Uwe Boll’s migrant crisis thriller “Run” is making its market debut in Cannes via Stuttgart-based sales company Kinostar.

Boll just wrapped shooting on his latest pic and unveiled the first images from the production. Shot entirely in the resort town of Baška on the Croatian island of Krk, which doubles for a coastal community in Italy, “Run” follows a group of desperate migrants as they make landfall after a perilous journey across the Mediterranean Sea and the impact of their arrival on locals and tourists.

Set to start shooting in Croatia on April 17, the film focuses on a group of desperate migrants as they reach the Italian coast after a perilous journey across the Mediterranean Sea and the impact of their arrival on locals and tourists.

NewFest and the Brooklyn Academy of Music (Bam) have announced the fourth annual lineup for their “Queering the Canon” retrospective film series, this year subtitled “Besties.”

This year’s lineup of films screening at Bam in downtown Brooklyn (April 11 – 15) includes a 4K restoration of Rose Troche’s lesbian classic “Go Fish,” the world premiere of the 4K restoration of Brian Sloan’s queer romantic comedy “I Think I Do,” 35mm screenings of Gus Van Sant’s “My Own Private Idaho” and F. Gary Gray’s “Set It Off.” The “Go Fish” screening will be accompanied by a Q&a with Rose Troche in person along with star Guinevere Turner.

Regular readers of this site may be already aware just how much I’m looking forward to the most ambitious Kevin Costner project in years. It’s Horizon: An American Saga, a series of four films that Costner is part-funding. Just as with his last directorial effort, the brilliant 2003 western Open Range, he’s independently funded the movie, and brought in distributors afterwards.

In the US, it’s New Line Cinema – and thus Warner Bros – that’s going to be releasing the first two films, both of which are coming out this summer. The first lands in June, the second lands in August, and both are getting US cinema releases.

Before the WGA strike began last May, Yellowstone co-creator Taylor Sheridan had completed scripts for the back half of the show’s fifth season that did not include Costner, whose alleged demands had been widely reported.
