A new episode of the Awfully Good Horror Movies video series has just been released, and with director Fede Alvarez’s Alien: Romulus now in theatres, we have decided to celebrate by taking a look back at one of the least popular entries in the Alien franchise, the crossover sequel Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem (watch it Here). You can hear all about it in the video embedded above!
Directed by the Brothers Strause from a screenplay by Shane Salerno, Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem has the following synopsis: Residents of Gunnison, Colorado, are caught up in the crossfire when two deadly extraterrestrial species bring their longstanding conflict to Earth. On the one side, nearly indestructible Aliens; on the other, a lone Predator whose mission is to wipe out all traces of the Alien infestation from Earth, no matter who gets in the way.
The film stars Steven Pasquale, Reiko Aylesworth, John Ortiz,...

"Whatever Kross is planning, make sure he doesn't succeed." How about some Nicolas Cage cheesy action for a post-Oscars detox? Qme Entertainment & Minds Eye Entertainment have debuted the official trailer for The Humanity Bureau, a thrilling sci-fi adventure about survival, truth and the price of freedom. Set in a post-apocalyptic America, the film stars Nicolas Cage as a caseworker for a government agency called the Humanity Bureau exiles members of society deemed unproductive and banishes them to a colony known as New Eden. The full cast includes Sarah Lind, Hugh Dillon, Vicellous Shannon, Kurt Max Runte, and Jakob Davies. Usually I'm always up for some sci-fi, but this looks bad, really bad. The VFX look bad, the story is half-baked nonsense, the dialogue is terrible, it's barely sci-fi anyway. I'm not surprised this is a Nicolas Cage movie, he's in nothing but junk these days (except, maybe, Mom & Dad). You've been warned.

It’s not often that you run across aspiring genre directors who are still in their teens so when we discovered a brand new Kickstarter campaign for Carver, an upcoming indie slasher from the filmmaking team of Ron Diprimio and his 13-year-old daughter Emily Diprimio, we immediately took notice.
In the campaign, the Diprimios’ describe Carver as, “a throwback 80’s style slasher that follows a group of teenagers who are haunted by a despicable act they committed on Halloween when they were younger.

Elektra Jennifer Garner, Natassia Malthe Lesbian Kiss Scene. The Elektra (2005) Jennifer Garner, Natassia Malthe lesbian kiss scene, directed by Rob Bowman, is from a combat scene in the film where Typhoid Mary (Natassia Malthe) uses her death touch power over Elektra Natchios (Jennifer Garner). Elektra‘s plot synopsis: “Elektra the warrior survives a near-death experience, becomes an assassin-for-hire, and tries to protect her two latest targets, a single father and his young daughter, from a group of supernatural assassins.”
The best part of Elektra was this scene, the first kill, the one armed pull ups, and the use of the ninja silent step. Other than that, the film was wanting, right at the bottom of the superhero film barrel with Thor and Green Lantern.
Elektra also stars Goran Visnjic, Kirsten Prout, Will Yun Lee, Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa, Terence Stamp, Chris Ackerman, Colin Cunningham, Hiro Kanagawa, Mark Houghton, and Kurt Max Runte.

As we sat down to write the introduction to our list of notable film spin-offs, someone forwarded along a link to the big movie news story of the day: Tom Cruise announcing his plan to reprise his role as ultra-profane movie producer Les Grossman from the 2008 film "Tropic Thunder" in an as-yet-untitled comedy. Tom Cruise, in other words, is getting into the spin-off game.
So even though we're a week late in finishing this list inspired by "Get Him to the Greek" (more on that film in a bit), it's still plenty timely, and will continue to be as long as Hollywood exploits successful properties even after their original stars have moved on. Here's the elite company Mr. Grossman will be joining:
"Evan Almighty" (2007)
Original movie: "Bruce Almighty" (2003)
Spin-off character: Evan Baxter (Steve Carell)
