When filming the climax of Time Bandits, Ross broke his arm. So for the scene where he rides in on the horse with the cowboys, the scene was shot with his arm in a cast that was hidden behind the rider.
While filming Time Bandits, Ross did not have a phone at his home in
Wales, so he had to bring a box to a pay phone to make calls.
Was part of the Morton Fraser's Harmonica Gang musical act that ran until the 1960s. He was credited as Walter John (Tiny) Ross.
