Destiny’s Child is one of the biggest, most influential R&b-pop girl groups of all time.
The legendary troupe first debuted in the late ‘90s, delivering hits like “No, No, No,” “Bills, Bills, Bills” and “Say My Name” that sent them skyrocketing to superstardom in the music industry.
Throughout the years, the group experienced several member lineup shake-ups, before ultimately landing on their most well-known iteration, dubbed “DC3.” Together, the trio would release fun, empowering smashes like “Survivor,” “Bootylicious” and “Independent Woman Pt. 1.”
Since their last studio album in the mid ‘00s, Destiny Fulfilled, all of the members have gone on to embark on solo ventures expanding beyond music into acting, writing, presenting, and appearing as judges on popular reality TV shows.

Beyoncé’s Renaissance is so much more than a concert film. It’s a superhero epic—as if Bey is filling the void left by The Marvels or Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. It’s a glorious three-hour tour of the Queen in all her creative splendor, on her record-setting Renaissance World Tour from this past summer. The movie would be a blast if it were merely a jubilant live performance, but it’s also a documentary of a year in Bey’s life. “I spent so much of my life a serial people-pleaser,...

Queen Bey has arrived on the box office stage.
Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé — which Beyoncé wrote, directed and produced — started off its run on the big screen Thursday night with a better-than-expected $5 million in North American previews.
The concert movie is tracking for a debut in the $20 million range, which would mark the biggest opening for the first weekend of December. It should also top this weekend’s chart. And with a perfect 100 percent critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes and a near-perfect 99 percent audience score, Renaissance come in ahead of expectations.
The weekend after Thanksgiving is notoriously sluggish, and Renaissance is a welcome gift for exhibitors. It should also top this weekend’s chart.
Taylor Swift with her blockbuster Eras Tour movie, Beyoncé and her team decided to bypass Hollywood studios and pact and pact with AMC Theatres distribute Renaissance, which chronicles her recent world tour while also providing behind-the-scenes footage of the superstar.

It’s been 470 calendar days since Beyoncé gave her stans an inkling that a Renaissance visual album was coming. In the year following the release of her seventh studio album, the BeyHive relied on their improvisational skills to keep them engaged throughout its nontraditional rollout. They made viral dance challenges to “Cuff It” on TikTok; tried to replicate Bey’s melismatic bridge from “Virgo’s Groove”; and when the came time for everybody to be “on mute” during the “Energy” segment of Renaissance World Tour shows, cities across the world...

Beyoncé brought Renaissance to the big screen on Saturday night, premiering her new concert film at a star-studded event in Beverly Hills.
The premiere, which took place at the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ Samuel Goldwyn Theater and included a dress code of “cozy opulence,” featured a chrome carpet followed by a screening of the movie. Guests were invited to take photos on the glitzy step-and-repeat — which featured Renaissance film artwork — and participate in several other photo ops, including posing with Beyoncé’s signature silver horse.
Destiny’s Child members Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, Latavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett, along with Janelle Monáe, Issa Rae, Lizzo, Halle and Chloe Bailey, Lupita Nyong’o, Tyler Perry, Niecy Nash-Betts, Gabrielle Union, Ava DuVernay, Lena Waithe, Kris Jenner, Robin Thede, Jeremy Pope, Laverne Cox, Marsai Martin, Coco Jones, Beyoncé dancers Les Twins and her parents, Tina and Mathew Knowles, were among the stars who walked the carpet.

A small room at the top of Hollywood’s historic Paramount Recording Studios is serving as a salon for Victoria Monét as she and a stylist put the finishing touches on her hair. She’s preparing to sit down with Kelly Rowland, and she’s pretty nervous. Meeting a role model can do that to a person.
When Destiny’s Child released The Writing’s on the Wall in 1997, Monét was about 10 years old, and Rowland about 18. Like many Black girls at the turn of the century (and today), Victoria loved Destiny’s Child.

Before Beyoncé was twerking with Serena Williams on her visual album, Lemonade, she was celebrating her bootylicious independence from all those "Bills, Bills, Bills" with the members of Destiny's Child. Though it was a game of "Survivor" as to who made the final trio - sorry, LeToya Luckett and Latavia Roberson - there's no denying the powerful combination of Beyoncé, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams.
Though the "writing's on the wall" as to how their story ends (there can only be one Beyoncé after all), in their '90s heyday, they were one of the most popular R&B girl groups. But you don't need to pray for a reunion performance to relive their hottest (and always coordinated) fashion moments. From "Bug a Boo" to "Say My Name," here are the top 10 sexiest music videos by Destiny's Child.

There's absolutely no bad blood between Beyoncé and her former Destiny's Child bandmate LeToya Luckett. On Tuesday, a photo of the two singers together was uploaded to Beyoncé's website. The next day, LeToya shared the photo herself on Instagram. The two singers were backstage at Bey and Jay-z's On the Run II Tour in Arlington, TX, and they seemed genuinely happy to be with each other. In the photo, Beyoncé, still in her glitzy concert bodysuit, embraces LeToya, who is rocking a leopard-print dress and longline jacket. What makes this photo op even sweeter is how happy Bey appears to be about LeToya's pregnancy as she rests her hand on LeToya's baby bump.
The night of the concert, LeToya posted photos and videos of her supporting Beyoncé and Jay-Z on her Instagram Story. In one clip, LeToya and her husband smile at the camera while Beyoncé is heard singing "Perfect Duet" in the background.

Fifth Harmony will neither be the first nor the last girl group to have a member leave in the height of popularity. The pop group announced Sunday that Camila Cabello had decided to leave the group, but the rest of the band would continue on its tour. In hindsight, signs of Camila's departure had been made clear for a while, but Harmonizers didn't expect her to leave mid-tour; however, other girl groups such as Destiny's Child, Spice Girls and more have experienced the same type of sudden exit. Over the course of the band's career, Destiny's Child lost three members: Farrah Franklin, LeToya Luckett and Latavia Roberson. Franklin joined the Beyoncé-led group after Luckett and Roberson...

As the music industry plans to hand out awards for the best of 2014, it’s hard not to reflect on the GRAMMYs ceremony that happened just 15 years prior. The year was 2000, but in actuality it was a reflection of 1999, when just about anything could happen. Jennifer Lopez launched her musical career, Britney Spears brought back the Catholic schoolgirl outfit, and TLC was suddenly a group again (and not just a TV channel). But the year was more than that. And the 42nd annual Grammy Awards attempted to capture that – for better or worst.
Play: Et's GRAMMYs Bingo Game
Let’s look back on all the glory of 2000 ceremony 15 years later.
1.The Dress.
Before she was J. Lo – or Jenny from the block – Lopez was just an actress-turned-singer. But you wouldn’t know it at the awards. When she walked out in the green Versace dress to present the first award of the evening with David Duchovny, the last...

Believe it or not, it is possible to become a big star without winning a reality competition show. While celebs like Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood certainly don't make it seem that way, there are plenty of stars who came in second (or third or fourth or fifth) on a reality series who forged on and made a memorable name for themselves in the Hollywood world. Case in point? Beyoncé didn't win Star Search when she performed with Girl Tyme band members Kelly Rowland and Latavia Roberson back in the early 1990s, and even Britney Spears didn't come out on top when she appeared on the Ed McMahon-hosted show in 1992. Justin Timberlake is another famous face who appeared on the reality series,...

Beyoncé promises a no-holds-barred look at her life. But who needs an HBO subscription when you have a blog and Google?
Beyonce's Life is But a Dream premieres on HBO on Saturday. The documentary will show the charmed life of one of the world's most recognizable celebrities.
But why do we need a documentary? Since Beyoncé is a woman who spends about 98% of her time in front of a camera – but who doesn't really tell us much about herself at all – we can make some very educated guesses about how exactly this documentary will play out. Save yourselves a $60 HBO subscription and read this outline:
Act I: Destiny's Favorite Child
Enter Tina Knowles, stage mom
Célestine Ann Beyincé, aka Tina Knowles, aka mother of Beyoncé and her decidedly not-favorite child Solange, gained notoriety in the 1990s as a ruthless "momager" and creator of some of the worst stage costumes ever stitched.

When Destiny's Child reunited during the Super Bowl Halftime Show on Sunday, one of the group's original members was watching from home.
Celebuzz caught up with former Destiny's Child member Latavia Roberson to hear her thoughts on Beyonce's Halftime Show and the reunion with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.
“Obviously, seeing Beyonce perform was the highlight for me,” the 31-year-old told Celebuzz. “I got a real surprise when both Kelly [Rowland] and Michelle [Williams] both popped-up on the stage like that.”
Continuing, “I thought they all looked great and did a good job with their dance moves. Beyonce was especially amazing. She looked fabulous and her voice was really strong. During the performance somebody texted me to say they could not hear Kelly and Michelle sing. It was so noisy in the house where we watched the performance that I did not really notice anything wrong. But who knows? They probably had some technical problems.

Keyshia Cole was not impressed by Michelle Williams' performance on Sunday, when Destiny's Child reunited for the first time since 2006.
Beyonce's Super Bowl halftime show doubled as a Destiny's Child reunion when Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland took to the Superdome stage in New Orleans to perform "Bootylicious," "Independent Women" and "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" on Sunday night.
Although the spectacle received accolades aplenty, R&B singer Cole managed to find fault with 1/3 of the group's performance.
Cole took to Twitter to diss Williams' Super Bowl showing.

Last week we gave you the lowdown on new X Factor judge Tulisa. Now we're turning our gaze to Ms Kelly Rowland. She's the first Us-born member of the panel since Brian Friedman's short-lived tenure in 2007, but we're pretty confident that she'll last longer than him! As a show of support, we've scoured the archives for ten things you may not have known about the singer, model, actress and ex-Destiny's Child superstar. 1. Kelly was born Kelendria Trene Rowland on February 11, 1981 in Atlanta, Georgia to mum Doris Rowland Garrison and dad Christopher Lovett. 2. In 1991, she joined friends Beyoncé Knowles, Latavia Roberson and others in rapping/singing/dancing ensemble Girl's Tyme (ugh!). As we get further away from their peak, doesn't it seem like Destiny's Child should be considered among the greatest R&B acts of all time? In less than a decade together, they produced four albums with four chart-topping hits, moved nearly 50 million units and — perhaps most importantly — influenced an entire generation of R&B stars. But before the solo albums, big-ticket videos, sold out tours and chart dominance, they had to start somewhere, and on this day in 1998, Destiny's Child dropped their self-titled debut album.
The group began when the members were just teenagers. Originally called Girls' Tyme, the group had as many as six members when they first started performing and attracting national attention from producers and record moguls. Former member of the Beyonce-led girl group, Destiny’s Child, Letoya Luckett is 29 years old today. As some of you may recall, she and Latavia Roberson (also once a member of the group) left on less than amicable terms. A Google search will reveal more if you like. Letoya did go on to release a solo album in 2006, which went onto sell over 1 million copies. She has dabbled in acting, starring in last year’s Preacher’s Kid – a film we profiled on this blog. Coming up, she co-stars with Ashton Kutcher, and Katherine Heigl in an action/comedy titled Killers, scheduled for release this June.

Cuba will play the part of a hip-hop producer who takes charge of a gospel choir - with the choir's lead singer being played by Beyoncé.
